+Sarah Rose Music When my daughter was about 3-4 we were playing "I love you more than..." She said (what I thought) "I love you more than words" I thought 'WOW, that is so sweet and mature and poetic" when I said, do you really love me more than words? She said, "NO, I said I love you more than WORMS!" LOL, I love the story to this day!
"how could I be a better mom?" - "there is no way to be better. if you were even better, I would probably be greedy" - future poet introducing herself here...
I'm not surprised. I work at a daycare center and you would be surprised how articulate some of the two-year-olds are.... Also, my mom told me my kindergarten teacher was very impressed at my vocabulary and that I knew how to use words correctly.
howlbeast I think what this comment is trying to say is that when we read the description, most of us assumed that it was the mom who was going to explain to the little girl that she loves her more than she loves herself (which obviously is true) but it was surprising to see that such a young soul is capable of vocalizing that sentiment.
Five Dee so cute!!! Maybe she look like she's kinda uncomfortable because she doesn't immediately comprehend the idea of her kid thinking about her being murdered, but it's a way of a kid naturally thinks when she watches or dreamt about something worst and instantly scares and try to take it away fr her mom!
This little girl is one of the most articulate children I have ever seen. Mom is doing a great job teaching her how to think for herself and also how to express her feelings. Kudos mom! =}
I couldn't have said it better! She is one of the strongest and most beautiful little girls I've ever seen. Very smart for her age. I could also see her mother's emotion as she answered the questions.
When she said: "That's really important for me" Gosh!! she's so cute and smart!! But, people, don't belive that girls/boys that don't talk like this aren't smart as this girl. There were and there are many genius people that have speech and lenguaje problems. If a kid can't speak well doesn't mean that she/he can't be very intelligent.
When her mom described how much she loved her, I definitely started crying! Not all of us got/get a mom like that. She's clearly an amazing mother, and her daughter is so bright.
Me too. I don't even know what a "mother daughter" bond feels like. Don't even know her face. I'm 23 now and i swore my children will not have to go through this
somebody is doing a pretty good teaching this kid how to communicate, or she is just naturally gifted. Most people think their child is pretty smart, but this one, is.
Thank you all for the beautiful comments! I’m Alexa and I’m almost 14. Looking at these comments is kind of my therapy. Reading such beautiful things makes my heart explode. Thank you again.
Awwww... we hope you and your family are doing so, so, so well. I watched this video maybe 5 years ago, and I always come back to it when I want to cry.
Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in all those stupid headlines like "Get Your Pre-Baby Body Back" and "How to Shed Those Unwanted Baby Pounds". But then you see something like this. And you stop thinking about the price of motherhood and start marveling about the prize of motherhood: a wonderfully intelligent loving child. The way the mother looks at the daughter and vice versa is not something that can be measured in pounds or cellulite. The way the daughter loves those things that those articles warn us we must be wary of: her mother's warmth, her mother's face, her mother's softness. Videos like this help to cut through all the noise of destructive headlines that are created simply to make us hate ourselves so that we consume more. This little girl is a gift. I hope that one day I too can be a mother to a child like her. Any weight gain, any change in my face or body will be more than worth it.
When the little girl said that what scares her the most is that her mummy would get murdered it reminded me of how I was always scared that my mum wasn't going to come home because something bad had happened to her. I was always afraid that she'd been killed and this started when I was 4 years old. I'm 26 now and I still have times when I think my mum's been involved in a car accident especially when she doesn't answer the phone when I ring her or when she doesn't call me considering we speak multiple times a day.
I'm exactly the same and I've always been. My absolute biggest fear. To lose my mom...I can't event think about it. It makes me cry instantly. I'm going to go hug her now.
Hil S This has reminded me of the same fear. I have a memory of being about 3 or 4 (we moved house after that and the memory is from my old house) of my mum being late home and I worked myself up into a state. I remember knowing I shouldn't show my fear but as time went on I was so panicked thinking she was dead I was sitting at the window of the front door looking out praying that she would turn the corner and be home but silently cos I "knew" at that age it wasn't "how I should be behaving". Another time in the same house, so 3 or 4, I remember my parents being out and we had a close family friend babysitting and we went to bed and I couldn't sleep because of worrying so much about my parents dying in a car crash on the way home. I went into my parents' room and took an item of clothing and lay with it and sniffed it so I could smell them. Is that normal?! 😂
Oh my God, what a gorgeous kid. What an awesome, shockingly self-aware, well spoken, adorable kid. Oh my God, I'd be in a constant state of awe if I had a kid like this.
I love this duo. What a fantastic mother. Also, thank you for not telling your daughter that it's normal for boys with crushes to treat girls badly… I hate that advice that gets perpetuated.
it's not advice, it's the truth. she shouldn't say it's the only reason boys do that, but it's certainly one of them. I'd tell the girl that sometimes this happens, and the reason is because boys don't always feel free to express their emotions, or they just don't know how. so instead of telling a girl that he likes her, he fights that feeling by being mean to her. she shouldn't tolerate this behavior, but maybe she could ask him why he's treating her this way and explain how it makes her feel
you're right, even though boys bully girls very frequently, there isn't much data (supporting any hypothesis) on the why. which makes sense because you can't simply ask young boys "why did you bully this girl" and expect them to say "because I like her". but just because something is difficult or even impossible to study doesn't mean the phenomenon doesn't exist, it's very common even if it doesn't happen in every instance. I get that people don't want to support this kind of teasing and get girls to accept bullying just 'because he likes you', but if I was raising a girl, I'd want her to know that that's a possibility and how to approach the situation knowing that.
I love that she teaches her daughter that if a boy likes her he won’t treat her badly. She’s setting her up with such a strong foundation of what love should look like.
She is WAY TOOOO SMART for HER AGE !! She really understands like to her mother feelings ....What 7 year old cries when their mother calls the smart and beautiful! She really lovers her mom and i feel like her mom has raised her in an adult / parent way
"How can I be a better mom?" "There's no way to be better! If you were better, I would probably be greedy" Oh my goodness. If I were to ever have children, I hope they are just like this amazing little girl :)
I really love whe the girl says "i care about you more than myself" that's deep for a kid her age but it really show's the education she's been given and how selfless she is most kids her age don't really think that way , i just hope one day i can raise a child like her , and DAMN those 10 ppl that dislike this are you sirious wtf !
Oh my gosh when I have a kid I want her to be just like her!! That is one lucky mother and one lucky child to have such a loving and understanding mom. So sweet
I have chosen never to have children and I never will, however, if anyone asks what I think I'll miss out on the most by remaining Childfree, I'd say having a child like this one who loves her mommy so much and isn't afraid to express it. Wow, you've got good girl, please protect her from all the evils of the world.
WARNING: this will make you cry This was so sweet and refreshing. After like every question they finished answering the tears just came rollinggg. Love this!
When her mom whispers how much she loves her daughter at the end >>>>> If you _really_ want to cry, I recommend watching this, followed by the "Gesine & Justin" video and the "Martha & Benji" video. Get into those "good mom" feels.
I love how Alejandra told Alexa that she doesn't have to do anything for her love, that she will love her no matter what she does, that her love is given.
Good! She gave her daughter a healthy idea of how relationships should work! It's important to shut down the idea that "people pick on people they like" because it can sometimes allow people to tolerate unhealthy relationships because they believe that being cruel equates to love.
I've watched this over and over yet I learn and love something new every time. For this nth time, I loved how the mom said "My love is given". Jesusssss.
+Mica Bayocot alsooo, I just have to say how i WISH I could see the second my face warms whenever my future kid does/says something so lovely. The mom becomes absolutely gorgeous when her face does that. So amazing 💕
I love how in the end the little girl is like "come here" in Spanish before giving her mom a hug. This was so sweet makes me wanna have a relationship like this w my mom.
This young girl if not already is gonna be someone influential and inspirational. Wow. The articulation in her voice. So grounded and well spoken. Her parents raised her well enough to understand just being you is all that you need to be. And to be emotionally intelligent at that age, words cannot describe. She definitely is an true empath.
Me also. My Mother was early twenties when she had me, so she was still "growing up" as I was growing up. Now that we are both extremely independent of one another it's as if we have gone far astray emotionally.
It must be such a great feeling to see your child and realize that through all of your failures, mistakes and shortcomings, you did one thing perfectly.
I cried, a lot :') This is so sweet, the girl is amazing! I'm sure her mom is super proud! If I ever have a daughter I want to be able to raise her this well :)
What a pure joy it was to watch this video. This little girl is so smart, mature, well-spoken with a beautiful personality. The way mother and daughter look at each other is priceless full of love and admiration for one another. Bullies are simply unhappy people, don't let their negativity stain on you.
I'm so infatuated by the way they look at each other. Like they look at each other with so much love, like how someone looks at their best friend, their idol, their better half.
Truly scarily to me how mature this young girl comes along. Maybe that's just me but the way she said "Freddy Krueger" alone had me pop my eyes. And saying you care more about my mother than myself is....beyond me.
My favorite one. This was beautiful. The child was smart, loving and articulate, and you could see what a great role her mother had in developing those qualities in her. I hope their relationship remains as close, supportive and beautiful throughout their lives.
These type of videos reflect so much not only on their side of the relationship they have as mother and daughter, but also how you can reflect for yourself. If you don't have a mother or any adult/guardian you were close to then you need to think about how you are able to be close and what you have to offer if you ever become a parent. Many times we don't want to give the same mistakes we've been given, but you have to think more about what greater things you can offer to break those chains. This sets that perfect example.
I'm sad now cause me and my mum used to be like this when I was younger but we have grown apart. I'm going to call her and ask if she wants to hang out right now. BFF's.
I think I'm most impressed by mom's strength. How she didn't burst into tears after every response her little one gave, I don't know...I'm currently drowning in my own. It speaks to her strength of character. It seems obvious she didn't want to impress upon her daughter any emotion that might sway her judgment or true feeling. It's beautiful, and so powerful.
Gosh, this reminds me of me and my Mom. She sees her Mom the same way that I did at her age. My Mom was the apple of my eye. Now, I'm twenty seven and we are still this way. Best friends.
The Skin Deep You know, I wish I could tell you...but I can't. It's just there with us. It's always been like that. We're just connected to each other that way. I wish I could say it was because we spent so much time together or because we had Mommy-Daughter days a lot. But, our connection is something beyond us. It's like it was meant to be that way. Like it's Heaven tailored.
"You don't have to do anything for my love. My love is given." Best parent quote ever.
David Parks 💜😍
David Parks omg yesssss ♡♡♡ I can't wait to have children
omg i so very badly want to hear that from my parents!
David Parks The best line
Idky but this comment made me think of Jesus love for us!).
she's staring at her mother so intently, like she's her most important person in her world. this is so beautiful.
There's a famous quote: "Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children".
Because she IS 💜
A mother is the most important thing in the world ❤️
When she said that she loved her mom more than she loved herself. An extremely mature way of thinking..
when did she say that?

I just saw the second part of this video, and the mother says to the daughter that she will be a writer. So yeah... You are close enough...
I actually do write poems hahaha

How old is she
Kids are very intelligent 💯 we often underestimate them
When she said "I love you more than I love myself" shocked to know it's her that says it not the mom
Right?!?
"Doesn't matter WHAT you do, my love is given" "loved you so much I thought I was going to explode and yet I loved you more and more and more" etc.

Yeah and I noticed an uncomfortable look on the Mom's face. Its heart-warming but a little worrisome.

I totally agree. I had to look it up several times, that she's only 7. SEVEN! At seven I was barely audible!

she looks like she is , and she acts like a normal 7 year old. lol

She's so smart for seven. When I was 7, I was probably starring out the window while scratching my head.
this comment made me laugh so hard! but its so true! she is a very mature, intelligent 7 year old. would love to see how she is in her wiser years.

"I care about you more than I do... To myself." You can tell she really meant that, such a sweet girl
The look in the daughter's eyes as her mom speaks... 😍 You can tell she really admires her mother.
The girl's deep voice matches her personality :)
I wanna know how she raised such an amazing kid. They're both adorable omg

Me also. My Mother was early twenties when she had me, so she was still "growing up" as I was growing up. Now that we are both extremely independent of one another it's as if we have gone far astray emotionally.
You can tell that this little girl is being raised well and loved abundantly ! Her answers says it all
this little girl is so gorgeous. perfection.
What an amazing girl. Some of her statements are very beyond her years. Kudos to both mother and daughter.
i think this might be my most favorite video ever
Woo!!!
My favorite one. This was beautiful. The child was smart, loving and articulate, and you could see what a great role her mother had in developing those qualities in her. I hope their relationship remains as close, supportive and beautiful throughout their lives.
This is all I ever want to be as a mother.
This kid is so awesomly expressive
"A good parent is just like you, I could not wish for anything else". My heart just exploded ♥
you guys should do a teenage daughter and her mom, i would totally watch that
This was so touching. You can tell her mother's raised her really well. She's gonna be a powerful woman when she's older
+Honey what a great comment!
Love your channel
These type of videos reflect so much not only on their side of the relationship they have as mother and daughter, but also how you can reflect for yourself. If you don't have a mother or any adult/guardian you were close to then you need to think about how you are able to be close and what you have to offer if you ever become a parent. Many times we don't want to give the same mistakes we've been given, but you have to think more about what greater things you can offer to break those chains. This sets that perfect example.
When she told her mom she cares about her more than she cares about herself 😩 I lost it !! this video has me crying what an awesome little girl
For a seven year old she seems to verbalize her feelings in such a comprehensible, adult way. Wow
I'm sad now cause me and my mum used to be like this when I was younger but we have grown apart. I'm going to call her and ask if she wants to hang out right now. BFF's.
Aww that's so cute *.*
KlewieLewie yayyyyy
Yay
1 year later, how it's going??
Update ?
3 years later , how'd it go? We need an update
This little girl is incredible. She's so smart for her age. She has a bright future.
This gives me faith that a mother and daughter can be close.
"I love your face..how it looks and your laugh.." :')
So many people trade this love for things that can not replace it....
When she hugged her mom, I felt that. I cried so hard.
She's so articulate! What a great mom.
Gosh, this reminds me of me and my Mom. She sees her Mom the same way that I did at her age. My Mom was the apple of my eye. Now, I'm twenty seven and we are still this way. Best friends.
Thank you for sharing, what do you believe helps make a strong bond between mother and daughter?
The Skin Deep You know, I wish I could tell you...but I can't. It's just there with us. It's always been like that. We're just connected to each other that way. I wish I could say it was because we spent so much time together or because we had Mommy-Daughter days a lot. But, our connection is something beyond us. It's like it was meant to be that way. Like it's Heaven tailored.
LumiereDarling im so jealous. I don't know what this is like 🙂
Aw in the end in Spanish her mom told her that she loved her so, so much, more than anyone in her life
"I love your face, how it looks and your laugh." Real love right there. Beautiful.
"I love your face" awwwwwwwww
Each second of this conversation is perfection. This child will rule the world! Motherhood goals
So sweet. I lost my mom when I was 12, I wish I could talk to her like this.
I'm so sorry my heart hurts for you :(
Christina Duke Aww thank you
"Because you're my loved one, and I care about you more than I care about myself " ❤️
She's like the perfect blend of intelligence and silliness. so smart 4 her age.
She's so smart for her age.. so beautiful. you two are such a great duo.
