@@janrose6748 Me too. Jeffrey Foskett is truly considered an honary Beach Boy because he is good on falsetto vocals. I can think of also John Stamos, Billy Hinsche, and Matt Jardine as honary Beach Boys. Are there any supporting musicians you can think of as honary Beach Boys?
CANNOT believe this vid only has 50 something Likes. You kidding me?! It's TOO cool seeing a couple of the best vocalists out there singing this back to back. Carl and Jeff - fantastic.
In the summer of '88, I saw Carl & Jeff do this duet, at San Jose County Fair. The Boys headlined, & were fantastic. ---------RIP, Carl Wilson . --------------MJL, 75 y/o
You know, I was born in 1997, India where I think less than 1% of the people even listened to foreign songs. When people here were barely even capable of getting a Black/White TV, people in the west were already enjoying color TVs from the 50's !!! That much how we were separated from West. Today, I got to know about this song from watching "Never Been Kissed (1999) which is my 2nd Beach Boys song, the 1st one was Darlin which I heard 3 years ago. My point is after around 16-17 years of my life, I'm discovering these songs which just makes me jealous of the people who heard it live or who heard it around them at the beach, parties, proms and stuff during their childhood singing, dancing and enjoying making this song a memorable part of their life. Cheers to you all who heard it in the past and those who didn't, lets just enjoy this song now and spread it because as of till date many people even don't know about this band, The Beach Boys.
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Carl should have done the entire song, but if you ask me, he should have had the lead vocals for most of their songs!
it was actually pretty rare for them to have anyone exept Brian and Jeff do the falsetto. both live and in the studio. before they had Jeff Brian was always still doing it despite his voice being in rough shape.
that is incorrect. When Brian left in early'65 Al took over the lead but they actually stopped doing it for many years as well. They would do it sporadically in the '70's. Brian took the lead in '81 and had a hard time with it. Carl and Jeff took it over in the later '80's@@dmer-zy3rb
For everyone who is watching, which performance of Don't Worry Baby is better this performance, the 1972-73 performance, or the Chicago 1965 performance?

Complimenting his big brother. Carl was all class.
It saddens me that I was born so late and never had the chance to see classics like this and the bee gees live and appreciated in their own time.
RIP Carl and Jeff

Really nice to hear Carl singing the verses. Clearly they threw the cameramen off when Foskett took over for the chorus though. 😂

Aqui no Brasil eles deveriam ter sido mais reconhecidos. Que banda incrível, uma das maiores da história da música.
Com certeza!!
both amazing singers and both taken too young!!
I wonder why Carl shared the falsetto with Jeff? He got his voice pretty high at the beginning. I’m not dissing Jeff, just curious

I think it was kind of throwing Jeff a bone because yes, either Carl or Al could've sung the entire song

Carl, as band director, believed the background singers should have some proper mic time. The high points were perfect for Jeff.

It is an Epiphone Rivera 12 string with a Gibson neck.

I always preferred Carl’s voice over Brian’s

Who is Jeff ???
He was with the BB's from 1980-2019 on and off. Sang all the high parts after Brian Wilson couldn't sing anymore. He's the guy with pink shirt.
When Carl can't reach the notes the other singer takes over!!!!
