I use this Honest Kitchen recipe for my 3 rescue dogs. One of my rescues has no food motivation at all, due to the fact her abuser used food as a lure to get close to her. She is trusting now, but not really excited about any kind of food. Then I started buying this brand when our third rescue came to us with major GI issues. My non food motivated chiweenie is actually for the very first time excited and can hardly contain herself at mealtime now. The difference I see in my 3 rescue dogs' health, energy and excitement for mealtimes is so heart warming for me. My vet was amazed at how much their coats and overall health has improved (even our newest one with GI issues is finally getting back to a normal tummy thanks to Honest Kitchen.) I love Honest Kitchen Brand and recommend it to everyone I know with fur babies! ❤
We've had really good success with it, too. Our favorite bonus benefit really is that HOnest Kitchen is way better for her g.i. system, so essentially her poop/farts don't have much/any smell. Yay!
The only thing I see as a potential issue is having to figure out best way to warm up filtered/bottled water ? id never use public water system chemically filled garbage or it would be a major contradiction.
You can use room temperature water...It doesn't have to be "hot" hot. It just "slurries it up" a little better/quicker to use warm water.
What does the lick Matt do?
The lick mat slows her down a little bit so she's not gobbling it up quite so fast...because she has to work at it a little bit more to get the food between the lick mat "nubbies." 🙂🙃🙂
