Not sure about in florida, but the local dollar general close to me has a seasonal section with an amazing deal on hooks. They have 40 count double action circle hooks for $2 in assorted sizes. They also have a bass assortment of hooks as well

Instead of drilling the hole in the pencil can cut the bottom out completely and smash the wire together and you'll have a combo minnow / bream trap.

Hi Jerry, Love your videos. Observation on the 1st hack: I'd think it would be better to turn the vertical file holder so the opening is facing up when the storage compartment lid is open. Should make access a bit easier. Also, might consider adding a short bungee across the opening to keep the tackle tray from falling out when the lid is closed. I can't see that tackle tray staying put in a moving boat, especially if there is any chop. Just my two cents.
