Maybe GW should make a real 40K movie. Then there wouldn't be such a demand for fan flicks... For waamen power there's the Sisters of Battle.
War thunder isn't realistic. Jeez, you fly a plane with a MOUSE for god's sake. I use a joystick and the fact that people who don't have a clue how an airplane works are flying around like aces with mouse flying really irks me. I hate the game.
"I've never seen a stupider company." Wizards of the Coast, "Hold my beer"
Ah you beat me to my comment lol.
Yup. Though I also see a lot of "This kind of behavior is going to end the company" comments (for both GW and WotC), and in the end that just doesn't seem to happen. It is just wishful thinking on our part.
@@therubberducktube It would have nearly ended WotC, which is why they ultimately ended up doing a complete 180°
@@therubberducktube you are correct, it may not end the companies... (right away at least) but it could drastically hurt them. and provided there's another *thing* that happens - it could eviscerate them much like the comic book industry recently went through.
So, as an example - Many comic book manufacturers had been producing... lets say questionable, plots and comics that haven't really drawn much of a crowd in the years before covid. but they're comic books. so they sell. Until 2020, and over something like a third of all comic book stores and outlets closed for good. They were already struggling to stay out of the red, and now because of unrelated reasons - they were gone.
So the comic book industry took an even larger hit than expected.
Same with movie theaters, though *unlike* the movie (theater) industry, if something like a pandemic, war, or what have you affects the comic book or gaming industry - you cannot expect the government to magically bail them out for their stupidity.
Seemingly unrelated things can affect companies in very quick and meaningful ways.
It's just WHY you don't 'rock the boat' in the first place. Sure you may not tip it over normally, and you could rock it to your life's content.... until a sudden sneaker wave provides just enough of a boost to send you over the edge.
So yes. WotC and GW are... incredibly stupid. Many corporations are showing just how little intelligence it takes to apparently run them, as Disney, netflix, google, amazon and everyone else - have done some down right boneheaded maneuvers in recent years - but the idea that while they all seem unaffected makes it seem like they're getting away unscathed... it's just not true. They may get lucky every now and then, but GW and WotC's current business model is just not sustainable in the long run, not with how volatile the world economy is or will be in the near future, right now.
About the part that the corrupted brother betraying him, it's likely the corruption was unwilling or indirect. You can notice that the guy was banging his head at the door telling he will remain loyal to the Imperium but the corruption is taking root in him, but the moment he saw his other brother, it's likely he lost himself to the madness of the corruption.
overall willing corruption of black templars is VERY unlikely overal... and yeah that one was clearly struggling with what he became
They all got hit with a Warp Flamer.
What Lola Bunny will do to a MF.
"I've never seen a stupider company."
Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro are making a STRONG case for being just that dude
The number of times Hasbro has shut down mlp projects is insane.
The smart move would have been to go to these fanworks and give them the support to do their thing properly, instead of stupidly defending their IP and snuffing the projects.
Which is another case of why Transformers is not as popular as it used to be, and there’s also the fact that Paramount and Hasbro can’t get the movies right.
Your explanation of fan projects bringing in newcomers is spot on. I got into 40k explicitly because of the Emperor tts series by AlfaBusa. But because of gw’s archaic policies, AlfaBusa has put the series on indefinite hiatus because he’s afraid of getting sued into oblivion.
Because of that, until fan projects are allowed to flourish again I will not buy any gw product. I really wanted to learn 40k tabletop because of AlfaBusa, but now those plans are also on indefinite hiatus because gw will not get a cent from me until he is allowed to continue his series unmolested.
Same, exact same situation
Tbf, he also said that he he was making money off of the warhammer IP. His comment implied that he didn’t have a different job because he made enough money off tts to not need it
@@mcarrowtime7095 funfact: people working in marketing get paid.
When most companies pay people to make things that bring people in like posters and trailers or even those damn mobile ads "oh he made money from it" is not an argument in favor of GW
@@theultimatefreak666 marketers can also be fired, and given that it's their property, nor is them taking away his ability to make money off it an argument against them
GamesWorkshop is indeed a very stupid company, they tried to be like Apple company, downgrading miniature qualities, and downgrading Grimdark into kid friendly. Gamza has pointed this out in his recent videos about them.
Is this decision being reversed
@@FIVEBASKET yeah. It got swept under the rug & forgotten about when it failed miserably.
@@Ironclad001 But in GW manner, they refuse to directly address the problem, and silently stopped the crackdown on Fan animation.
@@AAhmou I mean that’s all a company can do to be honest. Apologising wouldn’t fix anything. It’s shit, but that’s how the world works
It's still grimdark, it's just not unnecessarily edgy anymore
10:40 And not just ANY Space Marine Chapter's temple but the _Black Templars'._ Dorn's VERY ANGRY sons will most definitely not let this stand, and since they're Always Crusading they're closer to Legion strength than Chapter strength.
Love your "live and let live" attitude here.
"Oh no, furries, how horrible 🙄."
But still, hearing a space marine say "UwU" is actually scary.
I'm always torn with 40k specifically
Because, like, as far as most of the internet is concerned, holy shit am I a "degenerate"
And there's definitely a lot of "wow guys look at how cool space marines are, they get to slaughter all these things we hate"
BUT
At the same time, Space Marines stomping into some innocent situation and brutally slaughtering a bunch of cute stuff is on the nose enough that it's really fucking funny. Because it's *exactly* what space marines do.
Like, I saw a quote from one of the 30k books recently, where Angeron is like "y'know we're not giving people freedom, we enslave them. We're not doing a good thing." One of the other Primarchs calls him a traitor, and he goes "Oh, still loyal though, I'll still do it. ...Because I have nails in my head." Which is the best dig at 40k I've ever seen.
@@colbyboucher6391 SM stomping in and killing cute stuff? Eh, nope. I just don't see what's funny in that. That's like enjoying to ruin harmless fun for others.
and a black templar, no less. At least with space wolves, that would be understandable to some extent :V
@@colbyboucher6391 What ppl does not understand about 40k... theres no good guys, and the emperium its one of the worst guys in the galaxy.
It only loses to the Drukkari No oter race its evil has the emperium but the dark eldar. We just see their perspective becouse well we are human and we made de story.
Angron and Konrad Curze the primarchs that should have been aborted.
@@Briselance It's funny because it's making fun of space marines. They're a lot funnier if you laugh at them rather than glorifying them.
In Warhammer, whether it's Fantasy, Age of Sigmar or 40k, one of the surefire ways to cleanse chaos corruption is with fire.
Sadly Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro are pulling a Games Workshop with D&D, claiming it's undermonetized and are heavily revising it's Open Gaming License.
GW did this early, but their all going to do it as their ESG score funds dry up as the "woke" money backers move on in their quest to finance the collapse of Western civilizations and the rise of their new authoritarianism.
Amusingly some of the books do talk about marines using cover, I think there's 2 categories of marines, the send it bunch, (templars, flesh tearers, world eaters) and the calculating bunch, those that use the astartes absurd processing abilities to choose when they use cover vs when they are the cover, lasguns/autoguns dont generally have the umph to punch through ceramite. Where the sight of a marine standing tall might bolster pdf forces morale. or if incoming is so stupid heavy that available cover might as well be cardboard. In the open with nothing to impede the astartes heightened reflexes & senses might counter intuitively be a safer option.
also, having that much armor on you, against lesser opponents...cover is just not always a need. Even more if they decide to show off in a terminator suit.
I think they still use common sense
As a furry I can confirm this is 100% accurate.
You still dead or sumthing?

Prepare to be burn with holy fire!!!
@@renevil2105 UwU
Our power goes beyond mere strength of arms, none can deny their true nature.
There's something kinda awe inspiring about the marine still having his scapular on his hand even after corruption
I can already see the walls of gamesworkshop pushing people off. Currently, the only reliable ways of getting new 40k fans is the astartes animation and a $40 game that may or may not work.
The templar was corrupted in body, but not in spirit.
_They will soon overcome the feral rage and gain full control, now imbued with the beast strengths, the space marine becomes a sharper albeit jagged sword of the emperor.._
I feel queazy 🤢
Most Astartes will stand in the open because they find the idea of taking cover to be cowardly and dishonorable.
That and the fact that their Power Armour is basically as strong as tank armour plating.
That said, there are some chapters that actually use cover, the best one I can think of is the *Raptors* chapter, they even use camouflage on their armour too.
It’s probably been said before but I love that the internet is basically the irl warp
As russianbadger said using a heavy-flamer is really really fun
"Gamesworkshop is a stupid Company" Wotc: "Hold My Beer"
In the warhammer books people do take cover even space marines.
I think animations don't just becuase of budgets
i just figured given the heavy WWI aesthetic in 40K that their tactics reflect that as well.
@@airplanenut89 some times yes but most of the time no.
Krieg do this becuase they seek to die for the emperor.
However cadians would not do this and neither would most space marine chapters.
While they do perform charges its normally after considering risk to reward
In terms of why they stand out in the open, it's because they're walking tanks, they don't need cover, they ARE the cover, if something can't pen the cover it won't pen them, if it can pen their cover it can pen them, for space marines cover is pointless
It's never pointless. Even tank tanks take cover when possible, proper cover = even more armor.
The one reason I can see Space Marines doing this is proof of loyalty and pure intimidation.
@@colbyboucher6391 tanks take cover for their size, space marines aren't that large, so it's much less necessary
For the space marine standing in the open, its canon that they do that. They charge in, gun and blade in hand. And yes, they often get high casualties. Only very few groups of space marine do the smart approach and first bombard from orbit, then go on planet behind barricade, shoot down, then go now the rest.
I suggest the excellent videos of Majorkill on Warhammer. 10 minutes videos each on digestible format
To be fair, they are extremely tanky and normal bullets won't do much to them
@@letsplaysvonaja1714 yeah but how often do space marines actually "just" face normal bullets? more often then not it's chaos marines ( with anti marine boolets ) or heretic crap, which armor doesn't protect you often.
and there there's nurgle's pest.

MHGR: “I don’t understand why Space Marines stand in the open and shoot.”
Space Marine: “My faith is my shield. There is no honor in cover.”
For a minute I thought the thumbnail was Rags and MauLer
Topping off the horror, that little chicken nugget in the test tube at the end is called a Gene Seed. It contains the Primarch's special sauce, and is a necessary component in the creation of new Space Marines. It's what allows recruits into the Chapter to survive their augmentations, and makes them more like the Primarch of the Chapter as well. Reclaiming the Gene Seed from a fallen Marine is a major priority. No Gene Seed, no Marines.
The Furry Disease corrupted the Chapter at the very core of it's being.

i did not think that you would react to this video. I just discovered it yesterday when i was going down the darker side of youtube.
The enemy within poses the greater threat, especially to an ideology. The enemy without threatens the walls, the enemy within threatens the core, we know this instinctually.
Limited Run Games- “Hold my beer” “We hate anyone who isn’t a pedo” “Why is everyone canceling their orders”
Not the first time Space Marines fought something like this. The Invaders exterminated something called the “Cell kin” that seems to have basically been the Flood.
This truly more terrifying than real WH40K.
Some would find it arousing...
I'm pretty sure they started cracking down on fan content so their own animations on Warhammer+ are the only things available to fans.
PURGE THE UNCLEANED!!!!! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!
"I've never seen a stupider company"? Hasbro/WotC, with the negative publicity of GW's operating method as a role model, have effectively said "Hold my beer".
Did you do a video of the previous videos of these too?
Not gonna lie the cyberpunk anime is strait up why I ended up buying the game. After seeing the show I was like man I have to experience this universe for myself.
War thunder why are you here i need time to recover from the event.
You cannot hide from Gaijin
Soldiers are about teamwork, but Space Marines are futuristic knights
Still loving the extra info you provide, it makes your reaction videos so much better.
Your talk about the hatred for the in-group instead of the outgroup is famously shown in a Ciaphus Cain novel (can't remember which). He was heading negotiations between the Tau for the security of an Imperial world, but when the Tau offered to send a human diplomat, he refused. Cain explained that while his Guardsman can be expected to heed the order to not kill a lowly xenos diplomat, they would not be able to be controlled if they saw a filthy traitor to their race and would surely kill them.
That was a smooth sponsor transfer

If you leave the light you become more depraved than if you had never found it.
Alma 47:46 “Now these dissenters, having the same instruction and the same information of the Nephites, yea, having been instructed in the same knowledge of the Lord, nevertheless, it is strange to relate, not long after their dissensions they became more hardened and impenitent, and more wild, wicked and ferocious than the Lamanites-drinking in with the traditions of the Lamanites; giving way to indolence, and all manner of lasciviousness; yea, entirely forgetting the Lord their God.”
The word you were looking for the entire video: Heresy.
Not sure about CD Project Red on the License but I hope Mike Pondsmith the creator of the cyberpunk rpg (the tabletop version) got something from the Netflix series
Those aren't just furries...they're also...SPACE WOLVES!!!
Hm. I'd say in the 40k verse there are two major things which affect unit tactics, with the first being the need for ideological orthodoxy (among all factions, really). It's oversimplification to claim in this setting stupidity can be a positive survival trait, but it isn't wholly wrong. Imperial tactics are designed to save resources with the understanding that keeping your soldiers and equipment intact may be worse than destroying them in the long run. The real problem with Chaos in this setting is that it's become a natural outgrowth of basically positive forces. There's still room for real-world competence in the chain of command, but very high and very low casualty rates in operations should be considered equally suspicious.
The other factor here is that a lot of the time, you're sending Space Marines in the first place because for some reason you can't afford to be careful or smart about matters. In this case, just destroying the planet wasn't acceptable due to its importance, and there clearly wasn't enough time to set up a proper siege (it looked to me like the temple probably fell from within and this was a reclaiming force). Without knowing the enemy composition in advance, I'm not sure I wouldn't have recommended avoiding cover: concealment works both ways, and it seems like most of everybody else's elites are better at the game of sneaking up on and quickly taking out the opposition's best. And while I don't personally like the "show yourself as prominently as possible and let everybody swarm you" tactic I can't deny it's an approach which gets whatever's going to happen over and done with ASAP - and speed was clearly a priority here. What we saw tactically was debatable yet plausible.
We're certainly not seeing the Astartes at their best, but the entire concept behind this video was that we wouldn't.
I suspect you have never actually "played" WH40K.
In-group vs. out-group animosity: “The deepest depths of Hell are not for the depraved or the wicked… But the betrayers.” Dante’s Inferno. Humans have lived in tribes for most of our existence, and tribes compete. We expect, plan on, and strategize around external threats. But even truly catastrophic defeats to external forces can often be survived. An internal threat, however, is a different story. This is why the most hatred any of us have really ever felt wasn’t for an adversary, but a trusted friend who betrayed that trust. It’s not the predator out in the darkness, it’s the knife already poised at your back.
Just a funny thing: There are canon furries in WH40K. Many strains, actually.
wach ful series Please.
Since they recovered his body, it was intact. So, the implication is he managed to destroy the abomination and died loyal despite being mutated. Also, that other Marine was not a traitor, he was clearly consumed by the taint.

"If faced with a traitor and a enemy with only one bullet... shoot the traitor" Codreanu
13:25 A very good analysis of human psychology and sociology!
Why are the space marines standing still? It's not tactics... It's the animation budget
Space marines typically stand in the open because they're shock troops
The grey knights needs to step in here
The odd thing is actually the Black Templars focusing on ranged combat. Their usual method is to let their armor get them into melee range and annihilate the enemy.
Black Templars are too fanatics to think in battles.

I love that this started out as "furries in Warhammer" and now it's "Furries IN Warhammer"
Unfortunately your tasks don't work with the Astarties. It depends really because those guys are just literally walking tanks.
Look at Star Wars and the amount things like fanart, fan fictions and the like, all of that is fan created, and when you have IP’s as big as star wars Or warhammer it’s incredibly difficult to control such things where people do fan art of the death lords of krieg to kit bashing models to even printing their own unique models because whilst the models are good, they lack any individuality in which like 40K people want to be over the top or eccentric as possible but what fans want the most is individuality, where my army is unique and unique only to me, yes others might try and copy me but that’s okay, but my army is mine, and that’s why people do things like print custom head pieces, to unique vehicles designs and upgrades or artwork, and different people want to express their love for a universe they enjoy and a game they love, such as the astartes shorts, five short animated clips, where short nonetheless but is done in such a high standard it makes some massive block buster movies animations look like kid’s doodles and this was all done by one guy, the story telling? The editing, the motion capture as well as the animation was done in his free time with his money and with his love by himself and yes there are problems with people trying to short change GW and then there are the thieves who print their own exact copy just because it’s cheap and free and yes that is a problem but the problem stems from individuals creativity vs blatant theft, be it say a new carapace piece for a knight which has tentacles and pustules and the like then fair enough, but if it’s just an exact copy then it’s theft, but then there are the other small problems such as say 3d printing outdated or discontinued models like the Elysian drop troopers or the inquisititorial storm troopers or the original sentinel, these models are outdated, discontinued and are RARE AS F, trying to find the forge world enclosed hydra turret itself stand at two hundred dollars just for a single piece, because they are so rare and forge world no longer does them anymore, the same goes for the tauros which is like a sci fi dune buggy, in which starting cost would already be over a hundred dollars
Looks like Slaanesh gonna end humanity😯😯
I hope MHGR reacts to Sodaz Stalker fan film, his gonna love it.
they stand out in the open to draw fire. learn the space marine codex ffs. the armor they wear is power armor, which means a integrity field holds the armor together, making it a solid shield. the Emperor protects.

Respawn is a close second. Not cause they are per se bad just that they are on a gold mine of merchandise in Titanfall. By that, I mean no model kits, no war game, and no third game. I get we have Apex, but I want more mechs, more mech customization, as well as getting more stories.
Games Workshop, when they announced that Clap down of Fan works which have given them Free Advertising for Years and the Only Reason the IP has Reached the Heights it has has been Due to Fan Film Works. The Backash they received was THUNDEROUSLY Loud and they Backed Down IMMEDIATELY. Secondly they Addressed their Hubris and Ended up HIRING one of the Best Fan Film Creators (the maker of the Best Fan Film shorts for 40k thus far, ASTARTES) was HIRED by GW. They put him to Work IMMEDIATELY on the videogame project soon to release SPACEMARINE 2...the Trailer IS his Work and his influence is Clear in the Gameplay shown in that trailer.
GW has since announced that Sayamas Fan Series will be Allowed and Even now Encouraged, Supported By Games Workshop, With Additional Support to have his Next Installments Made Faster as ASTARTES was primarily Just Him making it. Now its gonna be Hom and a Handful of Others making it Faster.
The Quality of That particular work Matches if not Exceeds the Capabilities Demonstrated by Hollywood AND his work is 100% LORE accurate in a Way Made to seem EASY.

The space marines have more armour than their surrounding. However this was more of a graphic choice by the creator not a military strategy. This is a comedy animation
Did they try to do that to Astartes?? And I'd say that betrayal is worse
"Ah, so as we can see here, they are being attacked by heretic furries."

I absolutely agree with you about IP but you are missing something very important.
While I do agree with you ultimately you have forgotten that things that fall in to common use can become public domain. So they actually have a good reason for protecting IP. Each time someone does a parody and make it more and more common use. An example is Superman's S logo. DC comics literally lost its copyright Superman's "S" ask because it was considered to common place. I don't think Warhammer is in danger of that but characters based on that characters based on the parodies could be argued to already happened. Look at World of Warcraft Marines. Look at the Spartans of Halo.
So under the circumstances and being that's realistically that only in biggest property I can see them being worried.
