I'm now convinced that you never sleep. You have to be some type of mythical creature that only gets stronger with each 100% finished.
I agree
He’s probably a Jedi using the Force
I think he's a ginger
He's probably an A.I
For real. In the time he finished last 4 games I just finished up some side quests and scanning the galaxy in my Mass Effect 2 replay
you are insane man, the time you put to not only play the games, but 100% them is incredible. Love your content
Just checked the achievements and Jedi:Survivor doesnt have any difficulty-related ones. It also isnt a long game with an expected 20 hours story, 35 hrs with main story+sidequests. So yeah not a hard game to 100% at all, just select the easiest difficulty and do all the optional quests.
@@GeoGyf dont act like this game is the only one he completes.
He gets paid to do this. It makes sense he is quick. It's his job.
New idea. For problematic launch-states like this, make a 'one year later' video. Some of us would probably appreciate to know the game is safe, or isn't. It's probably more journalism than playing, but very helpful regardless. Same for knowing when there are particular companies regularly being guilty of half-assing it.
Agreed
Exactly, I tend to buy them about a year later too cause that's when it's patched and at a discount
Would be very helpful, but most reviewers are unlikely to do it as a year old game will get much fewer views and it cuts into their schedule of reviewing newer games.
@@Jasta85 I agree but this man goes above and beyond
r/patientgamers
It's unforgivable that a big budget game like this, from a huge publisher like EA, is released in such a poor state. I just saw Digital Foundry's breakdown of the performance, and I just don't get how this can be (basically) the norm nowadays. Paying 70 dollars for this is insane. That raised prise should all but guarantee games to be released in perfect condition.
@petah Yeah, but this is even worse, apparently.
It's even weirder because EA's non-sports games have been coming out in pretty good shape for years now so who knows why this one and BF2042 ended up so broken, even after delays.
Single player games are free until proven worth the money. Don't beat yourself up about retail price. Let's publishers make a 70 USD game before paying 70 USD for a game.
The stuff that came with special edition, performance, and the jankiness
It's not "released in such a poor state". PS5 and Series X players have no issues, it's only the PC port that is shit. But that's the case for a lot of PC ports/AAAs recently. It's all about optimization that PC tech jumps (of the last few years) are making hard to manage.
Does completing the game unlock 60FPS mode?
Hes a man of focus, committment and sheer will..
Ooh I honestly wasn’t expecting you to cover this one. Thankfully I’ve heard it’s a good friendly game for completionists. Kudos to you for getting this out so swiftly after release!
Just found you and I love your dedication and style. Keep doing what you're doing, man!
Now this is what a review ideally should be. Game completed and time to really know all the ends and outs of the game. Well done. This is better than any mainstream games journalist could hope to do
Dude, your reviews are fantastic.
The difference between this review and Skill Up really shows just how killer these 100% reviews are.
Thanks for the review, Mortym. I've been waiting to hear your take for a while now.
Thanks for the review. This was monumentally better than the ones by other channels. I now question whether or not they even played the title. Onward to 200k. All glory to the algorithm.
I'm glad to hear that it has a way to help you find missing collectibles this time around instead of having to rely on youtube videos
I have NO idea why THIS video never popped for me from one of my most FAV (truthful and just down right honest) UA-cam channels of all time. Love this content Mort Gaming
They spent more time on the DRM than they did making the game run well. Wonderful!
*Edit* I have been cheated out of a heart emoji from Mortismal 😭
Great analysis as always and great closing comments 👍
Best review ive heard so far out of the 10 others i listened to. Especially the depth in your pros and cons. Subscribed.
His channel is awesome. Glad ya found it.
My experience with this game has been fantastic. I think the game itself is amazing and I honestly haven’t had any problems. I’ve never had it crash or anything. I’m sorry for everyone who has had trouble because it really is an incredible game
I really enjoy your content. It’s very clear you’re an enthusiastic gamer and really get into it, especially with your passion for RPGS. I hope you find great success.
Great reviews bro , I don't play most of these games but I really enjoy watching reviews and you have really pleasing videos. I will wait till this game is a monthly PS game , like I did with the first one lol. Appreciate you !
Thanks for the review so quickly 🤙😁
Swiftly becoming my go to, excellent review.
I’ll definitely be holding off on this until issues are fixed.
100% within 48 hours post release. Including making this video. You're a machine.
To me it kinda indicates that the game doesn't have much content...
@@VieneLea Or that he plays too fast to be able to do a really reliable review.
@@VieneLea As he said a few times in the review, which maybe you didn't have time to watch, he got an in-game ability to see all the things he had missed, making 100% a breeze.
@@Eupolemos Yeah, I wrote the comment before I watched the entire video. I considered removing or editing it, but ehh, that would be too much overthinking of what is overall meaningless.
@@DietersYT ...what
Star Wars Jedi Survivor is so good, loved Fallen Order, Survivor is even better, absolutely stunning on PS5 😊
I going wait 1 year… and then buy on sale if it’s fixed ;)
Thx for the review and your honesty 😊
The fact you 100% is amazing! You get so many reviewers not even finishing the main storyline or even half the content. Makes their opinion feel a bit hollow and more like an impression. With your reviews I know I can trust what you say. Hell you've completed more of the games than I ever would playing normally. I really appreciate what you do.
I really liked this game in spite of the technical issues. The story really went to an interesting place and it was surprisingly dark, even compared to the immediate predecessor. The Bacta boy would be my one narrative gripe…he needed more personality as I found he was vastly overshadowed by his second in command, who had much less screen time. The gameplay itself needed another setpiece or two. There’s a particularly big setpiece in the middle of the game that had me smiling like a kid opening his new Nintendo on Christmas. Another one or two of those before the final act that was setpiece after setpiece would’ve been nice.
The final act highly redeems any gripes I have with the first two by being an intense character drama that never speeds along too quickly like God of War Ragnarok’s final act and simultaneously never feeling too slow. I obviously can’t say too much here, but I think every character has their part to play in this story and the fact that the protagonist isn’t named “Luke Skywalker” means there’s a melancholic feel to these games’ stories because we know that they will always fail at what they do. Because of that restriction, this game doesn’t waste much time with the rebel alliance and relegates that to the five year gap between games to establish that their repeated failures have taken an intense toll on everyone.
Since this story is focused on characters, the plot itself, an Indians Jones story of racing to get to a macguffin planet, takes a backseat for most of the runtime. Bacta Boy unfortunately gets shafted for this reason, despite having major lore implications from being a remnant of the High Republic. I wish the High Republic lore got a bit more focus in the story, but it wasn’t ever a deal breaker, since this is a story very focused on the characters, particularly Cal, trying to figure out what they believe in and who they are. By the time the credits rolled, I was very satisfied. I give it a 9/10. For its story. The gameplay feels great, but you can see that in the video, so I don’t have to get too much into it
Great review, new to the channel here, really enjoying your content! Also yeah it's sad to see yet another triple A game launching in that state. I'll wait until the Xmas sale to get it assuming most of the mentioned issues are fixed
Best review of this game I’ve seen! Honestly your negatives are exactly what I feel. Other than the performance I’ve been enjoying the game. Maybe you can start a series where you re visit games like this in a year to see if anything has improved?
im not a fan of the isometric, like diablo rpg type games, your specialty, but you are 1 of my favorite youtubers. i really enjoy your content. thank you sir.
I cannot believe you already have this out man you're insane
Just did all databanks, treasure, plants, maps all, loved this game soooo much. I did not expect the plot twist of U know who, also the fan services, epic..I waited for the lastest page and improved my gpu, it did not give me any problem
INCREDIBLE WORK ETHIC
Mortismal that is, not EA
22:13 The fact that he plants his foot on the spear is pretty cool.
Dude, what?! Already? You're an absolute madman.*
*Said with a great deal of admiration and respect
Honestly Grandmaster feels not too bad for the highest difficulty. I’m definitely dying plenty but it doesn’t feel too bad outside of a few random things one shotting you here and there.
"Why are we doing this right now?"
Best quote of the video.
I’ve been playing on Xbox series x and have no issues I’m loving it ! Good review sir!
Amazing! So detailed . I’m going to hold off from buying just yet . Will wait till they have finished the game .
I started in grand master due to my constant grinding on fallen order. Had a rough time because my parry is averaging at best times. Still felt cool to 100% fallen order and continue with this game. 😊
That was really fast! Thanks!
I really love this review. Some reviewers will bomb the game completely only because of the technical difficulties. Others will ignore the technical difficulties and fanboy about the game.
You struck the golden middle way of describing the game away from the technical difficulties and then still make your review using the whole picture. Keep going Mortismal. You rock!
That's how reviews are supposed to be. Too many UA-camrs jump on the bandwagon (be it hate or praise) just to get the clicks, with dramatic titles and then bring nothing about the actual game. I'm glad Mortim is getting more subs and more views, he deserves it.
Heyo Mortym! Thanks for another great review! Too bad about the PC performance. I play primarily on PC and it's a shame that devs can't seem to release their games on PC without lots of bugs. It seems to be getting worse, especially for AAA games.
Thanks for the Jedha crash mention, I'm on my return to that planet and crashes are F*ing constant. I'll try to disable ray tracing when I give the game a run again tomorrow. Aside from that I've barely had any issues. Just very occasional stutters in the open world which I assume is scenery loading. Until I got to Jedha I was surprised how my experience differend from other's reports.
I'm glad to hear its not just me who had to deal with the consistent crashing on Jedha. Been absolutely driving me up the wall especially given how far apart some checkpoints are. I'll probably turn of RT wheb I have to go there for now. What a silly mess of a release.
It's amazing how often this game switches between looking like a fluid badass Jedi adventure to some janky Gary's Mod recreation of Force Unleashed.
Like, look at the wall running. Sometimes it looks seamless, other times it looks really stupid.
Sprinting up slopes looks absolutely stupid. I think theyve massively overanimated the main character.
@@blob22201 "massively overanimated" is a good way to put it.
Great vid hun keep it up
Thanks mordem great work Sir
Wait...waitwaitwaitwait...
WAIT!!!
This game only came out a couple days ago...
How...just how...you my friend are the gaming journo we need but do not deserve.

1 yr later and it's free thru gamepass, it is in my opinion one of the best games I've ever played! Challenging, artistic and beautifully done. The story is spot on!
My biggest problem with the first game was platforming. I am not a fan of games with an overabundance of platforming. This is why I never finished the first game and will not buy this one. I also feel $70.00 for 30ish hours of gameplay is too much.
Thak you for all the work you put into your videos.
Oh man, I take you are not a fan of gow4 and gow5 either.
Personally while the platforming of gow4 was bad, the one in 5 is just terrible.
@@matosz23 Also Tomb Raider. I don't mind some climbing once in a while but not doing it 75% of the time.
Wow, crazy how you banged this out. FYI for you or anyone else regarding the PS5. A majority of the time it's good on performance mode. However, even on PS5 on performance mode, Jedha can be bad. Drops to 30 and below. Everywhere else fine/good. Jedha being such a central "hub" type area really hurts as well because it makes you not want to explore there.
I don't know if I would even recommend on PS5, I mean you're paying a lot for a great game which is fine, but Jedha and some of the weird texture stuff is bad. It wouldn't be so bad if Jedha wasn't so central...but it is.
For those that would love to attempt to 100% games ourselves, I would love to see an achievement guide for your games.
I’ve been playing it all day on PS5 and minus a few minor frame rate drops in areas with lots of water, the game is fantastic.
Damn. Already? Great job.
Good quality content, thank you
I guess Ill play this in a year, thanks for the info
Casual 2 day turn-around from the initial impressions is crazy
decided to just play in quality mode on series x after reading performance mode was subpar. honestly game feels pretty good in quality mode and looks absolutely incredible in HDR. i wouldnt want to play on highest difficulty at 30 fps as the game is pretty challenging with its combat but for normal 30 is playable for a game like this and ive noticed no drops at all. gotta say im really enjoying the game, combat can be annoying at times but the presentation is fantastic.
I just finished this game on PS5 and it blew me away. This game has one of the more genuinely mature and adult storylines in a video game and I definitely wasn’t expecting that in a fucking stars wars game of all places lol. You are right with saying that about 2/3 of the story is ehh but that last 1/3 is amazing story wise. I do hope for a third game and hope there isn’t such a bad launch for it
Knights of the Old Republic 2 is peak Star Wars gaming and you cant convince me otherwise.
My friend... How are you capable of this madness?! Are you a vampire?? Lol
Good video as always. All best
I watched his first impressions video this morning thinking it came out today and I just see this lmao
I'm about 25 hours in and i love it. Playing on PS5, and I'm obsessed. Hopefully they patch the PC port so more people will get to experience it.
I love that the trailer seemed to suggest the utapauan senator was going to be a villain but ended up dying for no reason in the prologue
Fantastic review! This is pretty much how I felt. I feel Survivor has gone ultra heavy on platforming at the expense of difficult bosses / enemies like fallen order. The Purge Troopers in FO were more difficult than anything I've faced halfway in Survivor. But that might be because you start off with all your previous powers and I'm now used to the combat.
My other "issue" (it's more a preference) is as much as the main world's are good, Koboh feels like a discount "Lands Between." I'd swap the large size for an additional planet or two to explore. This is Star Wars, give me some galaxy hopping!
Also I saw Iron Dagger on your desktop. that game looks very interesting.
Great review
The most annoying bug I’ve encountered was that if rebind the Special Attack key the blaster from the Blaster Stance simply doesn’t shoot. Playing on PS5, I’ve seen framedrops in some cutscenes and more severe ones around water surfaces.
Awesome review for a game with a boring Lightsaber combat (if is still similar to the previous one). Immediately installed Jedi Academy for a pallet cleanser. Still, great review dude 👍
I'm really enjoying the game so far. My only issue is achievements are not working, but I can redo all that on new game plus.
I guess the force is with me since I haven't had any major PC issues so far on this and the last game's launch either.
My biggest gripes of the first one were that discoveries were largely cosmetic and didn’t actually improve your character and that exploration bits went on too long in places. Seems like they took those to the next level in this game. I suppose it’s preference, but that’s too bad. I’m sure I’ll still give it a whirl and largely enjoy it, though.
Edit: Well, I tried it, and I couldn’t take it.
Well, they had many complaints that the cosmetics were bad
I like that you find his beard in a crate
Thank you for the review, sir! You're an absolute beast!
Yes, quite disappointing... Was hoping to play it on the release weekend, but because of the technical difficulties, decided to postpone until i can get it on sale 6-12 month later, when everything is fixed and the game is normally playable on PC.
I'd say Mortismal is an AI due to his efficiency at gaming and content creation, but his taste is too good to be programmed. So, bravo and thank you again!
Seems like a bigger with more bells version of the first game, which isnt a bad thing but tempers my expectations somewhat.
Can't wait to buy this is 5 years on sale.
I like this. Thank you
Holy crap that was fast 100%!
You have gotta be insane with how fast you 100% and how many you have 100%. So I gotta ask if you are willing to 100% games like doom eternal and Nioh 2.I swear you are probably the master of all games. Great content as always
I doubt I could do Doom tbh, but Nioh 2 is on the list
December was only 35$ , Best sw game ever existed this Galaxy:))
Just completed this game on PS5, and while it was perfectly playable, I still noticed frame drops and stuttering particularly in the more open world areas. During the final encounter, the boss actually fell through the floor a couple times, forcing a reset, which was extremely frustrating.
I also agree about the navigation being too obtuse at times, and I hadn't gotten stuck this much in a game since the 90's. This was compounded by button prompts not always appearing when they should have, leading to a lot of needless backtracking and time wasted.
Still a very good game, but what should have been a knockout awesome experience just instead felt at times cheap and underdeveloped. This one just needed more time in the oven.
If it hasn't already been blatantly obvious before; the price increase for games these big publishers have been pushing for the last few years will not translate into better quality games; just more profits for their shareholders. I never played the first game in the series; but everytime someone claimed that EA had changed their ways because that game was actually good, I felt like smacking them upside the head.
Wow you’re edgy
@@jamesgratz4771 Nah, just an old jaded gamer and ex-game dev who remembered when game companies weren't complete piles of excrement... The big ones always were excrement; but they've really gone in hard on being piles in the last 2 decades or so.
@@stynkus probably true
This dude is a beast 😅👍🏼
What’s interesting is I haven’t had really any issues on ps5, currently 5 hours in I’ve only had 2 issues once camera froze and the other a slight frame rate drop. Besides the reported issues the game is amazing if you like the last game it’s that but way better and gorgeous world.
I was lucky enough to 100% this game on epic settings and ray tracing on with little to no issues. Only issue was slight frame drop when using holotable but still maintained at least 120 fps
Definitely agree with you on the number of cosmetics. I don't think I've ever been excited about picking up a new colour scheme in any game, and this game has way too many of those imo lol
The way I see it is at least they aren’t trying to charge you for them. Guess they coulda added a gear system but I hate most modern gear systems now.
Agreed.
I play on a 9990k and a 3070 in 3440x1440, all settings on high with balanced and no ray-tracing. With the exception of the start up logos being super laggy and the file optimization taking its time, I experienced only single, short lag issue in an early cutscene. Otherwise it has been a buttery smooth ride with lots of fun.
Hopefully the issues other people experience will be fixed asap.
I will wishlist it and wait maybe a year for the post launch beta phase to be done.
What i did not like much, were the layout of enemies and other stuff. When enemies are at a position that makes no sense like:"Why are you there and how did you get there?". Or for example the green energy fields. Sometimes there are in a position that makes no sense. It just there for you to jump through. It kinda kills the immersion for me.
I liked the first game. Maybe I'll get this one when they finish it
Looks great, I'll have to wait a year or two to buy it tho, unreal prices here on Brazil unfortunately, almost half a minimum salary
Awesome review. PC ports should be delayed at least 6 months as a standard rule.
This game is on my wishlist for 2 years later; once it’s optimized, bugs are fixed, has complete DLC, and it’s on sale.
But the PC port of Horizon: Zero Dawn took ages and was still buggy on release.
already 100% ? Kudos !
How did you beat me and 💯 you are amazing hats off. I’m running a 7900xtx 5800x3d maxed out ray tracing and it isn’t crashing and the stuffers are super minor It’s not enough to break it for me I’m a bit into Jedha
Kyle Katarn, Jedi Outcast & Academy... this game reminds me of them
Sweet review bro 😎
The most important aspect of any game is being able to play it.
Nothing else matters is this condition is not met.
And when the performance is shaky as this... well... yeah.
This guy does not sleep at all
Glad Pathfinder WotR led me to Mort, top quality reviews
