What is Mercedes Voice Tag? Tips & Tricks!

- This is a demonstration on how to use Voice-Tags in the most Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the Voice Control. Instead of calling the contact from the address book by his first and long last name, you can call him simply by his short nickname. There is no need for spelling! That would make the voice command a lot easier, intuitive and quicker. Voice tags then are saved and recorded with your own voice.
Once voice tags are recorded, you can use your voice control to recall the nickname of your customer and for example make a call, send text or email. Perfect for people with accent and can be used in any language or sound.
Follow step by step instruction in this video tutorial demonstration on how to modify your address book, so it sounds like your preference requires.

No, you can't. If it was possible - MPG ratings of these cars would be much different and not in line with EPA guidelines... forcing manufacture to make smaller and weaker (but less fuel thirsty) engines. At first, I wanted also to disengage it permanently... but after using it for the last 3 years, I actually like it, because it saved me thousands of dollars! Plus, the more you use it - the smoother it becomes.

No. You'd need to add an accessory to your car to add more functionality. I plan to review some of those accessories soon, so stay tuned!

If you switch off the radio, what would you want to display on the screen? I recommend instead off switching off the radio, just turn the sound all the way down. When you turn off the car, the radio will turn off automatically after you stop the car and open the door.

@@danishsayang You can switch your Radio to Media. Or you can also turn the screen off, by pressing the Power button or pressing on the Volume scroller (depending on year of your model)

@@zenasbartasevicius6397 Are you saying, you changed the language to English, and everything is in English, except the Voice Control? Then you'd need to perform a software update targeted for English. Any local MB dealership should be able to do it.
How could I check my all sensors are working or not
Usually, if something is not working, you have a message on the dashboard pop up.
I was using the voice control to have text messages read back to me. The date (mo/day) read back was wrong. I went into the time menu and the only option I could see was to change the time. It showed the year as October 2000 or something crazy like that but no way to change it. Can this be changed? I have a 2016 S550.
The time should be picked up by GPS of your car automatically, however you can also change it manually (not recommended). Also remember that text messages are sitting inside your phone, not inside the car. Your car just controls your phone. So you may check if the time of your cell phone is malfunctioning. Can you call via WhatsApp or Signal or Telegram?
