@@MJ-ro1gv If you're talking about Park Assist, make sure to turn the turn signal on, so your car will look for a parking spot. That's how your car knows you're looking for parking. GAS COVER SUGGESTION #2... Thanks for that great suggestion on the Gas Cover. It's so obvious, how could I not have seen it? Here's another Gas Cover related suggestion / warning for your Viewers... I make a weekly trip to Costco as they truly have lower gas prices. One cold day last year Costco was very busy and for some stupid reason, I decided to pull the car (AMG 43) a bit closer to the Pumps so that the people who needed to go around me would have a little more room. Unfortunately, I misjudged my distance and went QUITE A BIT closer to the pumps, but didn't realize how close until I came around the back of the car. I thought about moving the car, but figured I could make it work. Next I realized it was colder than I had anticipated so I grabbed my big bulky winter coat out of the back seat. Then in one uncoordinated / convoluted motion I was putting on the Coat, opening the Fuel Door and turning towards the Pump to input my credit card. I heard this odd metallic clanging sound and turned around to see.... My fuel door hanging by a thread. The back of my big winter coat has grabbed it and knocked it right off it's hinges. The Fuel Door is ONLY being held in place by a couple of small / cheap / plastic hinges. They are clearly designed to support the weight of that tiny door and no more. It wasn't like I leaned on the flap or any such thing. The tug of that winter coat, and perhaps a little bump from my oversized bottom, were enough to snap it right off. How much does it cost to fix a broken Fuel Door on and AMG Mercedes? How about ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! The dealer told me they had to replace the whole assembly and I think they said they even had to pull the fender off. The definitely told me they have to paint the fuel door and to my eyes it is not an exact match to the original paint, but I doubt that's the kind of thing anyone else would notice. Regardless, one moment of mindless stupidity and I am a thousand dollars poorer. Not that any of you folks could be as dumb as I, but thought I'd pass this along in case you loan your Mercedes to your Brother-In-Law.
Many exterior parts on Mercedes are designed to break easy on purpose. Because if there is any accident or contact with pedestrians, it's better for a flap to be broken than pedestrian's face. However, when you have something simple like replacing a gas flap, it's better to go to an independent body shop than MB dealership. There is a huge difference in cost of parts and labor.
Respectfully, I can't use all of your nice advice on my car because it's older. I have a 2008 Mercedes Benz C 300. Still, thanks for the good advice that can be useful to all Mercedes drivers who have young cars.

If the lights on all the doors work, but doesn't work only one, then probably the light inside the handle burned out or got disconnected, so it needs to be reconnected or replaced.
Could you please do a review on 2024 GLS 450 in emergency situation, specifically when power is out, ie, where is the emergency manual tailgate release button/tab/handle inside the car that allow people to get out of car in case there is no power, or which seats can be manually folded down so third row passengers can get out. There are red pull tabs in the back of the second row seat and also on the side of the 2nd row seats. Are those for emergency situation so 3rd row passengers can manually fold the seats to get out. Also in case of car accident, will all the doors, including tailgate automatically unlock so rescue crew can access car to pull people out.. again thank you so much for all the videos!
My 2018 GLC 300 has only 30,000 miles on it. The battery was dead after I was unable to drive for 3 weeks. I want to use a trickle charger to keep the battery charged up. It has a strangely shaped terminal on the red terminal. Mercedes said I need to buy a Mercedes trickle charger at $140. I got one from Costco for $40. I’m hoping I can use it. They have terminals that attach to the battery that can stay on. You detach the cord only each time. It’s better than having to use the clamps and keep the hood raised, and you don’t have to leave the hood up.But due to the weirdly shaped red terminal, I guess I have to use the clamps. I keep my key fob in another room away from the car in my garage (thanks to you!)
Active break system limited warning came up two days after purchasing 2021 GLB Mercedes. I've seen videos that mention dirt on the sensors possibly causing the problem. Where is this sensor located? Can I easily clear this?
It can be caused by water during the rain, and will come back when dry. You can still brake normally without any problems. But also, it can be a sign of worn-out brake pads.

@@williamchou5196 So, if closing button works, but not the locking button, it means there is no communication with the SmartKey. Try to bring your key closer to this button, and see if it works. Maybe your key battery is running low and needs a replacement.
I replaced new battery for the key, it still not working, it was working before I replaced car battery, and the tailgate would not unlock automatically when I go near by the gate with key. Before when I go near by the car with key, all the doors should be unlocked, is there something I need to program? Thanks

Very nice tips and tricks. But Mercedes does the most Terrible Act To Very Few MBZ Owners of later Model W211 EClass. Its Called PZE-V Fuel Tank and Duel Fuel Pumps &:Sender Units. MBZ was even Forced to Give 15 year 150,000 mile warranty which even though im under both And under 100,000 miles. But MBZ will not Honor today thx MBZ. This insane Design when it Fails 1# you cant teplace Pumps 2# the fuel lines in the Tanks Etheir melt or Disengage. You Cant replace them As they are part of Tank. 3# Both pumps are part of the Tank are NOT sold separately. they are also part of the Tank. As I stated Only few have this Tank. My Car is not a California Car but that does not Mean when MBZ is filling Order Another state womt get this Car.4# At no time can you Put in The more standard Non PZE-V tanks cause now ur ECU Can not Communicate with the Non PZE-V pumps. A Standard Pump Replacement on a non PZE-V pump or Pumps do it ur self $400 to $600 . And ur Up and rolling Again. But on a PZE-V Tank and Pumps MBZ starts at $9500. This For Most People Totals the Car with Putting a scratche on the Car. Also its a special order Item that yats weeks to get from Stuttgart. Durnimg that time To Pull the Tank out cause you can Bot replace pumps on the top Though the backseat. You must Remove differential, Trans Axel, Exhaust system, Rear Brake lines and fluid. And bolts and Fasteners hard to get to with the Car up or Down. NOW the Fun begins Trying to Fine a PZE-v Tank in Good Working Condition. BUT now He Wants $1600 to renove it and The New Total is $2500 for the Tanks with no core on mine at all. Have to come Back in 10 days and leave $1690 just to Remove it. PLUS gas both Ways Thx Joe Biden. TANK and pumps now cost $3000 after almost months qe finally dinish the Car And tank and its just now Running $6000 and its used A savings of $3500 both would only get a year warranty. You don't need your car power to open the doors from the inside because the lock is manual.

Either the switch is defective, or most likely there is some kind of obstruction on the seat rails. Inspect the rails under the seat for any blockage.

how to activate 2018 gls 450 tailgate locking button ? after replace battery it stop working
There should be 2 buttons, one closes the gate, and the second closes the gate AND locks the car. Are both buttons not working?
