    I lived in Nigeria in Port Harcourt in the south way back in the late 80s and I have experienced the go slow - also went to Yankari game reserve, Jos, Kano and Kaduna on a road trip. Glad your children are experiencing this it will really help in years to come for them. Love your videos Ludo, keep up the great work!

    The bus driver at the 26:00 mark was asking if the road ahead was clear of police checkpoints. He didn't want to take a shortcut through an unpaved rural area especially because he has some 'Oyinbos' a.k.a white people in the vehicle. He didn't want to make you guys feel uncomfortable.

    views from the mountain. Fantastic drone shots! The drive in the rain at dusk was refreshing. Ludo your daughters' comments brought me a much needed smile: Lia "Buy me a coffee!" and LouLou "My daddy doesn't drink coffee. He drinks beer."🙂

    Hi ludo greetings!!! I have been watching some of your nigeria videos and i like it, I would like to ask you some few questions if you don't mind. What motivates you and what did you see or likes about nigeria that made you to settle in with your family? And now that you have been in nigeria do you like the country? Are you enjoying the country? What are the things that you like about the country? I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

    • @Ludo_Liu
      @Ludo_Liu  11 місяців тому +1

      hey,, thanks a lot for joining on the channel. these are not simple questions ... very open, very hard to answer without writing a book... And I am afraid i won't have the energy to explain everything here.
      what motivates me : I always loved to travel, discover, meet people... and then share what i saw, before with website, Blogs, etc...
      What's makes us settle and stay there ? firstly work, and then we all feel good here. we have been in some other places on Earth before where me or my wife were not feeling good. We both enjoy it. why. cause of the culture, people, life. if you know Lagos or Africa , you probably know why some people love it (and also why some hate it).. I know this is ot a very terrible answer....
      What I like here : i think first is Nigerian people and culture, art, musik.... indescriptible the art scene here is so rich ! the rythm of life, the weather, my friends, close circle etc, anything you need to feel like at home...then profesionnaly also, i mean it is very harsh for millions of people, but I also think for those who have some competences there are thousand of options and possibilities

    What a family adventure and what an informative vlog. You all need serious energy boost, which is why I'll be buying you TWO drinks apiece!!!
    That lake must be VERY deep. Probably just the right size for the Loch Ness monster - although it'd have to sleep standing up!!! Jokes apart, spiritual and mystical places, of which Naija has oodles, are VERY fascinating, so MORE like this one s'il vous plait - without endangerment to self of course.

      yes i will bring you to more places like that, this is also what i like a lot to discover, the deep and original culture. To tell the truth i am a beat frustrated, cause i feel this video needs more cultural info about the religion and about the legends in this cave, stone and lake...
      I think there will be another episode in this place in the coming months/years. not a vlog but more like a documentary covering the beliefs and religion, something more informative
      thanks so much for the huge boost ! I have seen it on buymeamalitnia :)

    Merci encore Maestro pour le partage de cette belle expérience en pays Yorouba, j'ai adoré. Mais une question, depuis quand es-tu devenu agent d'immigration des Usa pour que ces deux jeunes filles, dans le bus retour vers Ibadan, s'exclament: "il nous enverra en Amérique!!!"🤣🤣. J'ai aussi adoré la réaction du conducteur de ce bus, qui a voulu emprunté un raccourci pour vite arriver à Ibadan, mais à cause de votre présence à bord et pour ne pas que vous vous fassiez de fausses idées sur son initiative a préféré continuer sur la voie normale, malgré le fait qu'il avait été confronté à un embouteillage sur son chemin aller, c'est la raison il a demandé à son collègue si la voie était dégagée. Vivement que la fée magique exauce les vœux de ta fille quand sa dent prendra congé de sa bouche. Ce fut un plaisir de faire ce bout de route avec la famille Liu.

    • @TopeA8
      @TopeA8 10 місяців тому

      @@Ludo_Liu I think you are correct. The audio was not that clear for me. She said mu mi lo America. I thought she said wo mi l'america. My Yoruba is basic-intermediate at best (watching some shows now to try to get it up to intermediate). See I come from a mixed background in the South (Yoruba and Itsekiri) but grew up in the North, as a baby I heard 2-3 Yoruba dialects, the nannies language, English, and Itsekiri) and just went into meltdown and didn't speak ANY language (though I was processing). So that scared my dad who now only wanted English spoken in the household, so he never spoke Yoruba or Itsekiri to me. From the age of five My mum did speak Yoruba to me, but only basic yoruba. So I grew up basically only speaking English (and the occasional Yoruba). Even then my Uncles didn't like that I spoke Yoruba mixed with some English, so they dissuaded me from even speaking the basic Yoruba that I knew. Then I left Nigeria at the age of 9. So I listened to basic Yoruba for about four years or so and my Yoruba remained at that level.
      The ladies on the bus are indeed speaking basic Yoruba, but at low audio levels even that can get past me :P It should not be too difficult to fix my Yoruba though, since I already understand it naturally. I just need to boost my vocabulary and tighten up the grammar a bit.
