That was a great video, keep up the good work. As a Rwandan I only have one wish for you, please educate your kids/descendants to have the same good behaviors like you, you're a good person, God bless you... the issue in Rwanda is one, meeting someone who can speak the same language as you, if you happen to find one, you will never have an issue. And i liked how you seem to understand the word " muzungu" many white foreigners thing it's a bad word, but the truth is that it just means a white person with no racist and bad meaning attached to it. You notice they say Muzungu and want to great you with smiles and happy faces.

was very kind to offer you a round trip around the village. An edible village - so green.
They all indeed looked young for their age, both Jean and oldest brother Jevenal at 70.
Not because of the banana beer, but the Cassava leaves and fresh vegetables :^)....
the way I was welcome was indeed really nice, i spent an amazing time with them ! and looking forward to meet them again when i'll be back in Rwanda
Only six months since I left it after I have been there for only one month and I already miss it. God bless Rwanda and it's people 🇷🇼.

I had a similar experience in Rwanda. I met a man who worked at the hotel that invited me into his family. Of course I had to have dinner with them in their house. Rwanda is just an amazing country and I've been all over the world. When you first arrive you can feel that this place is different. Kigali is the cleanest city in the world I believe. The people are so genuinely warm and friendly. I needed to make a large purchase and it required a huge quantity of their currency. I started to count the money on the street and I would never do this in my own country. I told my friend we needed to go somewhere private and he told me it wasn't necessary. People walked by and were curious, but there was no danger. About 25 years ago the country switched from teaching French in the schools to teaching English. In general the older people speak French and the younger people speak English. Although they are not as familiar with the American version of English and it tends to baffle them. I tried to use the translator on my phone to describe a lily (flower) and my friend laughed as the translator described a female body part when translating to Kinyarwanda. I was terrified but yet found the motorcycle taxis exhilarating. I feel as Ludo does that you have to get out of the tourist areas and hotels and really meet the local people. That for me is a much more satisfying travel experience. My Rwandan friend invited me back in 1 year for his wedding, and I will be there.

I have watchewd 'Itchy Boots' for years and I love her videos. But I find that your videos seem to bring another fresh angle to the expereince, which is more down to earth and gives viewers the opportunity to see more of how real life is for many where you drive. Keep the good work up.

je dois dire que oui c'était très émouvant de revoir Mr evenal sur la route en repartant. Ces vidéos sont aussi pour moi des moments réels que je vis au fur et à mesure de mes voyages plus ou moins longs depuis maintenant plus de 12 ou 13 ans. Ces moments sont souvent pour moi de vraies leçons de vie qui m'ont forgées .

Dear Ludo, as I already mentioned in the comments of a previous video, I'm going to Rwanda in September. I was wondering if you could do a kind of "tipps" video for travelling in Rwanda? I guess that this would be of great interest overall as there is not that much detailed information about it accept very view blogs and 1-2 travel-book-guides. I would really like to see such a video - Maybe just you talking freely about what to expect, what to do and maybe what to avoid doing in Rwanda based on your real experience. E. g. you mentioned your hotel in the last video and that it was terrible. But you didn't go into details what was bad about it and what you conclude out of it concerning what kind of accomodations to book in Rwanda. Thank you very much, would love to hear from you. hello, I wish I could do that, but i won't be able to do such a video. However, I don't know what to answer. For me Rwanda was like many other country on earth, really simple to travel, with many hotel I found on the road or just on google, I have few addresses in some places i can give you if you write an email we can talk about it in more details if that's okay for you . you can find my email in the description of the videos. The hotel was bad because it was very noisy, music all the time, very loud, and pretty dirty... all the other hotel I had were very clean, in different ranges from 8 euros to 20 euros.

Remember when i was on way to malawi river. Halt in a muddy village eating in improvised Restaurant with a pig in living room. The drunk bus driver wanted me to drive. So many things going on. Good times...eventhough think different about development aid now.

Try visit a place called Ngorolelo it's also off kibuye heading to the Congo border nice place lovely banana beer the best I have ever drank in Rwanda
