The Sea of Consciousness (at 18:50) was given a new model in the 3.1 Lem patch. Don't feel bad you never noticed until recording this, there's been more than one reddit thread asking what the deal is with the purple ocean planet. The whole thing was a literary reference to Solaris by Stanislaw Lem from the beginning, so they decided to give it a little extra flair in the patch bearing his name.
My first experience combining the Holy Covenant and the Ascensionists civic caused me to be able to convert 3 minerals into somewhere around 12 alloys, have all traditions by 2250, and be floating 4k unity by 2300 Also, the new Psionic Ascension changes are fantastic, highly recommend you try a psionic playthrough some time soon
Yeah psionic rush with teachers of the shroud is insane. Got a 15k fleetpower shroud avatar not even 20 years into the game making me by far the most powerful empire duringthis time
@@caphalor7252 those things are a bit sketchy at times bc the fleet power is very deceptive. Sometimes you'll go up against something with like a third the fleet power and you'll lose because they're so shield heavy
@dominicquist6940 jeah true. I lost it eventually while cleaning a marauders nest. Missiles are not that healthy for them. But still getting the instrument of desire not even 30 years into the game is insanely powerful
If you forgo the improved productions society tech, the ones that give 10% more production but 10% more upkeep along with the ascenscionists civic-holy covenant combo. You could push the upkeep reduction to 105% effectively just spawning alloys through the sheer will of your mind.
Shorts are trash, I'm here to strengthen my attention span. Love what you do Lath, keep doing it and keep telling us how to help you do so. We shall supply
Really enjoying this so far! Just so you know, the reason your first subject rebelled at the start is because of low loyalty, which affects acceptance but is a different value. Usually when negotiating subject terms, you want to make the deal as good for them as possible so they become loyal to you, and then renegotiate the terms in a few years to give yourself something more beneficial
I love how much you say while simultaneously omitting details about your personal life when explaining recording difficulties, very internet savvy. I'm impressed.
I'm glad you love making these full edited playthroughs, because I love watching them so much. This one in particular was just soothing, peaceful, and even wholesome, by Stellaris standards. I really appreciate the new torpedo frigates, and I have to acknowledge how funny it is that you trapped The Matrix in a system where they have no choice but to be happy and can't leave. Looking forward to seeing you take on all the endgame crises with all the gauges maxed.
I am absolutely in LOVE with the fourth Toxoid naming scheme! It’s is a bottomless pit of entertainment that I can’t believe I only just now discovered!
Lathrix you should try X4 Foundations. With mods you can really feel like you’re part of a living universe and help your favorite faction conquer the entire map. Also making and managing fleets is really fun.

Hey lathrix I’m happy to see you are back with another great stellaris video. I would love it if you did another Rogue servitor run. Also COMMENTS FOR THE ALGORITHM!
Seems like you had fun discovering the updates that came out while you were gone. And as you said, some of those do seem to substantially improve the game.
I'm just always amazed how you get to those really good tech levels before 2300. I definitivly need to step up my game there. Great vid as always, thank you sooo much!

6:30 Very well spoken! I think I'll share this video to my friends as well as recommend it to as many people as possible! Wink wink nudge nudge. In fact, this generated quite an impression on me when watching it - I was compelled to click through to the video and watch all of the ads.
"I want this arm for myself", honestly my first thought upon seeing how tha galaxy was formed was to take over that isolated arm. Just some old fashioned map painting fun.
never actually seen that galaxy type, that looks awesome also while on vacation and wishing i could finish up my last game, i appreciate these videos let me sate the craving until i'm back
Yes!!! More Stellaris with you! I love your style of videos. I usually watch them while working out on my stationary bike and the more videos you make the fitter I get:)
As expected, that was incredible! Your galaxy at the end looks like one giant alien dragon and that is just. Beautiful. Amazing video, really really makes me want to get stellaris
Lathrix, my own reckoning of the autocannon is that it's numbers are super high, but it needs to get essentially into melee before being able to do dmg, meaning most of the time the other side will not only get an alpha strike, but a beta and gamma too. Before you're able to to start dealing dmg. At which point you're probably going to destroy them - BUT you have already taken some casualties as a result of shooting days after the enemy has.
@@tagadhur_malaguld yeah, for almost every pc palyer it's bassically a free DLC. mods such as ACOT and darkspace are also pretty good, althought ACOT is more for endgame stuff and darkspace still has a few rough spots.

Nice to see that you discovered how good cruisers are with the new torpedo weapons. and sure, missiles are explosive while neutron launchers are energy weapons, but they have the same range and you can sit at max range and just barrage the enemy.
I haven't played stelaris in a while, the frigates look interesting. I've been obsessed with Total War Rome 2 recently. As always love your videos, keep it up! You're awesome!
I feel like the creative intros are a part of Lathrix. Never change.
Agreed. I do love the introductions to the videos XD
