They increased it from 5 points a kill to 100 so they can then break up the rest of your contribution and dole out rewards incrementally on top of just the kill score alone....I.E if it's 100 points for a kill then you can split that to give a player 50 points for an assist or 10-20 points each for a scorestreak kill. Its a little hard to split it up or have lots of rewards when your starting point is a low number like 5 points a kill. The higher number system is what allows you to get points for medals etc....and have that feel like it means something. It allows them to give us more things to do, and for us to do more, and have it all still be meaningful. That's why they made the change and that's why it's a good thing!

The numbers got bigger to add more possibilities into the game like +10 and plus +25 for assists as well as in a Dom you have +10 assists +25 for better assists +50 for kills +100 for neutral caps and +200 for capturing enemy flags. There's also other score streak little points possibilities.

This is a concern I have that many might not even have. In the older games like Modern Warfare you could go into a room and go a desk in the corner and jump on it to get that little extra bit of hiding but in the newer games especially BO3, they removed this with invisible barriers not letting you jump on debris/furniture. Will they still have this on MW Remastered?

I agree and disagree. The community was actually asking for something new, especially after MW3 and around that time. But they changed their minds very quickly, leaving the developers in a bad spot. But MW remastered should be available separately.
'Separating' the playerbase, with higher numbers, is really a smart move. Instead of seeing someone with i.e. 500 score compared to someone with 600, that doesn't seem like a massive difference, hence people thinking the top person didn't do that much. Seeing something like 1000 score compared to a 3000 score, makes you think that this person actually did something for the game. Might just be me - but that's how I see it now. I like it before (as you did), but I feel this is an improvement, without a doubt.
First of all I would like to say thank you Activision and Raven for bringing us our beloved COD4 back, However, there are some minor details that i would like to address that I think it will improve the game. This is coming from a long-time COD fan who has been playing it ever since COD4. - HUD : it looks HUGE and it takes a lot of space and it will be a huge pain to play it on a gaming monitor. - Medals : I wish if I could take these off as an option but I don't think they are going to make it so, in my opinion I think it would look better if they made it smaller in size and a bit higher in terms of position. - FOV : They definitely should increase to FOV. - Gun Sound : This one is quite obvious.
The lower points per kill made sense back when COD4 first came out. Just as the higher points per kill make sense now. In the end, does it really matter?

Leveling them up I don't feel is game breaking. Besides after playing so many call of dutys that constantly reward you, I've really grown attached to that feature .-.
the remake of this is probably one of the best cod's released, but it'll never be the same as the original. Just wish we could all go back to the old times 😔.

I prefer the scrolling text as oppose to the medals. I also agree that they should have kept the numbers smaller.
MW2 had medals, but they didn't pop up on screen. They were viewable in the barracks.

3. Keep the originals wepons layout just improve graphics
4. Keep the medal thing and the ground gun info out.

I like all of these changes. Most of them are small quality of life changes that add features that were added to COD games after MW came out.

I think what they will do is sell the four maps as dlc yes. But I think they will do it like this, call of duty lately does four dlc packs right? So what they might do is make it where you get one map per map pack. This is just my thought though and I can be wrong.
