    You should have used a FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER with the two middle pins connected to the wires coming from the motor/generator and a DC capacitor connected to the output of the FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER with +to+ and -to- so you get full DC voltage plus you won't risk burning anything up that requires a DC input such as your phone/tablet or anything else.

    • @jclowe735
      @jclowe735 Рік тому +2

      @Anirban Sen IF the voltage is high enough it will backbfeed through a zener diode which is why silicon diodes are used to make full bridge rectifiers or 4 silicon diodes in a dimond (square) can be used to make a full bridge rectifier with a DC capasitor on the + and - to change he AC voltage output to DC voltage.

      @@jclowe735 That rectification is just Full AC Wave to DC, right? What about voltage control?

    • @jclowe735
      @jclowe735 Рік тому +1

      @Anirban Sen yes and after the AC to DC rectification add a voltage regulator to keep a stable 5 to 12 volts output so what you are supplying power to doesn't burn up (phone, tablet, laptop computer, GPS or anything that's sensitive to voltage spikes).

    it had so much potential but with the other comments absolutely debunking everything about this video, the max power output is only really 2w at most, if you actually built this well, it would definitely need a new motor or even a completely redesigned diy motor for generating power, ideally brushless to increase lifespan, id love to a see a better execution of this video without the fakery

    I noticed when cut the shaft to place the magnets you label the magnet north and south by their poles the north are then next one south is just flipping the poles right. How did you get the slots so even ? Making passes with grinder the depth of the magnet? I have that same motor you used. What wires did you cut at. end of build? Were they the wires for a capacitor. Did that start out as an induction motor? I'm teaching myself but at the beginning of my journey. Great idea and video though.

    Well, for starters, your placing the magnets they way you did say there is no way you connected that directly to a set of LEDs and charging your phone because it was generating AC so would need a rectifier to convert it to DC. Also if you wanted DC output, al you had to do was place the magnets all with the North or South pole facing out. This would make it a DC generator.

      @@essamtal4333 2 ways. 1) If you place the magnets so the the magnetic field is the same (i.e. all North facing out) all the way around it would be similar to a permanent magnet DC motor (except the magnets are rotating rather then the armature), as the polarity would NOT be flipping with each pole. 2) You could add a rectifier to the output thereby changing it to a constant DC current

    • @cyberlizardcouk
      @cyberlizardcouk Рік тому +1

      there are only three wires if you configure the generator coils in a three phase setup. There are such things as single phase electrical generators. The latter is much simpler with less wiring and less diodes being used to rectify the output.

    • @paradiselost9946
      @paradiselost9946 Рік тому

      the "coils" are the diagonal slots. a laminated steel rotor with slots filled with conductor. single "turns". they make these little ones by simply casting aluminum around the steel discs and turning it down to expose the steel.
      so yeah, its a squirrel cage two phase induction motor. uses a single phase supply with a capacitor to create a phase difference. as its only small, it has no switching gear, so its capacitor run and technically... two phase as theyre always in circuit.
      versus the larger capacitor start motor using a switched winding for that "extra" phase. draws more current so it makes more torque for starting... has to be switched out or it burns out.

    Also at the end of the video what is powering that fan with your cell phone and blinking LED lights attached because that ISN'T the wind blowing those blades that fast indoors and definitely not those magnets doing it either ... Most likely its with the aid of Adobe premiere

    Two wiring problems .... 1st , ALL the cut wires should have insulated ends , they might short out randomly otherwise .... 2nd , the twisted output wires should be SOLDERED prior to fitting the heat shrink ... these little tweaks will ensure a MUCH more reliable product ................... Почему в выпрямителе один диод? Что за схема подключения обмоток? Почему так мало магнитов?

    Do all electric motors already have this... alternator parts like the magnets and copper coils already inside them? How do you know which ones have this inside them already and which you'd need to actually go out and install it onto?
    These kinds of videos make you think that the electric motors all have the magnets and copper already inside them.

      You need to be clear about the motives when you want to do something. I made a video with the AC motor of an electric fan. It's very specific

    Please has anyone tried this, I tried it, it produced up to 20volts max which is enough for my project but the current was poor about 10mA, I am suspecting it's the resistance of the winding not sure though, I wanted to know if anyone succeeded with it, if you did please reply.
