I grew up in Northwest of Montana, in the crown of the Rockies. I'm actually baffled why there isn't more efforts to find more mineral deposits. I know the geology in that part of the Rockies is very conducive to mineralization which usually leads to quartz, pyrite and of course gold formations.

I'm in one of the area's of the UK with a LITTLE Gold (Wales), never given panning a go but I might have a crack in some of the streams I know with obvious Quartz veins.

#Tank Soldier, You can't get out any more honey? I'm so sorry to hear that. I was bed ridden for 5 years. Had my hip replaced. What's going on with you? If you don't mind me asking? About 4 months ago I was in a coma from double pneumonia. I came out of the coma after a couple weeks. I couldn't move from my neck down. Had a machine breathing for me. I'm still learning how to physically do everything again. I was like a new baby with an adult mind. Couldn't talk or nothing. I spent 2 months in a special hospital where they worked me 6 hours a day to get me functioning again. The hardest part was sitting up by myself. The worse part was having to be fed like a baby, and walking with a walker for a month. If you need to talk you can come to my channel and leave me a message in one of my playlists. Just remember to use a hash tag and my name, so I will get a notification. Okay I'm on here every day. We can chat anytime you need someone to talk too. 🐘 🤝 😊

Good video, but I think you need to work a bit on your panning technique. In the beginning its wayyyy to vigorous and you are probably losing a big % of gold out of the pan. Stratify does NOT mean shaking all the water out of the pan. It means get everything very very wet. Just FYI. Lucky to get a huge piece like that. Every prospectors dream.

Thanks for the gold and the chance to watch you get it. My father made a gas operated sluce bed for going through quanities of river sand and rock it would probably work fine on what your doing it had a pump and a shaker box it shook in two directions. powered by a briggs and stratton lawn mower engine I have the plans for it which I could find. I have never gotten the gold fever myself but for a few months he sure loved to run through the sand and black sand got himself about 2 oz of flower from about 2/3 rds of a 55 gallon drum that they got from the marias river south of shelby. I'll sub to you and if your interested maybe i'll find the plans duplicate them for you and if your a aluminum welder you can copy it and use it to find alot more gold.

Pssst, use a drop or three of "jet dry" in your pan to keep the surface tension down.

    • @Cambpro

The fines will actually float out of the pan. Breaking the surface tension keeps your fines in the pan. Dawn also works

get an exact container say a gallon size, fill it with worthless sand, small rocks, weigh it on a good scale, do this a few times for an average weight. Now go searching with that container and scale keep weighing spots, find a spot that that gallon weighs considerably more start panning

Yeah I"m sorry but I don't buy this for one second. If he was actually getting that much gold just in a pan, then there's millions of dollars right under his feet without a doubt cause you don't find gold like that ( and that easy ) without there being a ton of it.

if you ever prospected a lot you'll know not believe much that other diggers tell you, its almost 100% fantasy land out there

he likely prospected all his life to finally find a spot like this...it's called paying your dues. There are spots like this, and yes they are hard to find. And the time spent total hours working for it pays about $5.00 hr in the end. One good find makes up for months of nuthin and it all kinda equals out..............to about 5 bucks an hour.

I have never panned for gold yet, some of these youtube videos seem to be too hard to believe...One man gets way too excited as if he has some ulterior motive to sell his gadgets and stuff.
If you could find the stuff that easy, you would just be digging and not making any videos.!!
