I’ve just returned back home to Perth, Western Australia from my first trip to New Zealand. Here in WA is sand, sand and more sand. But NZ is rocks, rock and mor3 rocks. Fascinating geological soup, riverbeds, on the beach. I spent many happy hours just sifting through rocks, looking for gold. I didn’t find any gold, but I found gold fever. Thanks for the video. I can learn from things like this.
Thank you, Tom! We're in it for the fun, and think everyone should get a taste. We've been fortunate enough to live close to gold, and have more to explore!
I'm paitiently "barely" waiting for part 2 Joe..hope everything is alright with you and your family friends...dont leave us hanging bubby wes gots the gold fever!
sometimes life things call real loud, and gold waits a bit. but gold whispers real loud, too, and calls usback. Family s fine, thank you, and i hope yours is as well.
I would dig the area, get rid of the big stuff and make sure there is just sand and gold and a few pebbles in the pan and throw it in a 5 gallon bucket to finish at home, time along that river is too valuable to pan it down to perfect and messing around with it in my mind.
Well that was absolutely amazing, I'll tell you one thing you know what you're doing, when you can look at the land, until how it's formed, to track a vein, very impressive keep up the good work will be waiting for part 2
A couple of weeks ago I hit a beautiful spot that was a bowl of sorts in the bedrock near the vertical wall of the gorge that I like to work. It was about 3 feet by 3 feet and about 6 to 8 inches deep in the middle and it was filled with stones, soil, and had a couple of weeds growing in it. I almost passed it by but decided just to sample it... too many colors to count in every pan. I cleaned that entire spot out and did great, by NW Wyoming standards that is. I got almost 2/10ths of a gram from it. The stuff here is really fine, nothing like that beautiful chunky stuff you are finding. Confederate Gulch made a reputation for that area and it looks like it's still producing nicely.
There is a bit of good gold around here, but same as you, I wish I was where the real good gold is. Maybe one day, it'll happen, but until then, prospecting and finding gold is just plain fun! Always good digs to ya.
Hello Joe & Justin! Joseph in Vermont here. Man, I'd love to drop one of my gold traps in there!! GREAT Find you guys. Joe, love your hat! Hope you guys found a bunch there, I'm sure you did. P.S. Subscribed and liked!
That red rock you found in the pan may have been a garnet if it was a bit translucent. I have found them prospecting in the San Gabriel river in California.
cowofthemonth and bang you have just fell for they’re trap and can consider your self the “actual pay dirt” cmon if you believe that then you are gullible. Watch the whole thing again and ask your self some questions like “ why only one pan each of ya got so much in it” “why leave after one pan ?” And so on and so forth.
I don't understand why you pan it all the way .... I would pan it to where the black sand begins showing and if there's color ... bag it and go to another batch. That way you can spend more time getting more loads and spend those rainy days at home getting the gold ....
haaaa thats nice panfuls lads.... I tell you for camera-men you make pretty good prospectors :D Im in Australia near Beechworth and hoping to head out this weekend with my Highbanker and my pans n be as fortunate :)
Wow Guys, like your video's, i would love to mine with you guys and find some nuggets :D Very nice to find it in a river bed not far from your house i suppose! In belgium there i propably not even enough to pay back the fuel ..haha Keep on doing the good work! greetings from belgium
I hope when I get to go out i can find a spot or a hundred spots like that...lol where ya at? I am in Amarillo Texas ...I am gonna try going to Colorado next spring looks like,.
How far are you guys from your prospecting dig sight ? I'm an hour and a half from mine here in Virginia but it's still worth it just to get out for a day and dig for some of that yellow stuff that gives us that raging fever to keep us going in life !!!
9.19 he says never again in the whole unireerere . What language is this guy speaking wtf did he say ? I couldn't understand his accent. That is a lot of gold in one pan that is awsome !!

East Fork ?
There's so much iron ore in my neck of the woods a detector would not work. Gonna have to get a pan and strainer for the next time I head west.
I've seen enough. Subscribed!

Great job guys!
good gold good job
Kewl! I would think you would set up some kind of portable sluice box with that much gold rather than hand panning.
I don't understand why you pan it all the way .... I would pan it to where the black sand begins showing and if there's color ... bag it and go to another batch. That way you can spend more time getting more loads and spend those rainy days at home getting the gold ....
That makes sense to me... and easier on the back.
He's doing it so you can see done
You just sold me. Thanks!!
