Had same thing happen on a Tahoe
With 10 radiators there's plenty of opportunities for air pockets that need purging. What concerns me more is they put the effort in to swap transmissions when it only needed a new shifter.
For those who don't know, Lloyd's of London insures things line entire fleets of cargo ships, oil platforms, satellites, etc. Just shows how ridiculous the car is. They do insure some rather silly things as well, but then again, they're British.
Lloyd's is an insurance market - there are different syndicates at Lloyd's who insure different types of risks. Basically, if a risk is insurable, you'll find some syndicate at Lloyd's willing to insure it. If no one at Lloyd's will insure something, then you're in deep, deep trouble...
I really hope the $40 purge valves fix the Bugatti! If they do you are a genius Wizard and Hoovie should give you a substantial bonus! Thanks for posting.
I've been a gear head my entire life...built some amazing engines but Hoovie is correct...eventually, the engine stops pulling...Whether it's my 455 Cutlass (with a lopey cam), a Hemi 392 Jeep, or my Supercharged 3.8 Olds...they stop pulling. The surroundings in Wizard's workshop is fascinating! Next to the Veyron is a MGB, then I catch a glimpse of a Citroen XM (how did tat end up there?). On the other side there is a Renault Fuego and Wizard's Citroen DS. Next to Hoovie's Ferrari is an Alfa Romeo (Giulia?) It would be something extra to come into a European workshop and find that combination!
Use your OBD tool to override the purge valves to see if they work. Most valves are normally open, some are 0-5v and others are PWM. While you are connected, check the tank pressure transmitter to see if it is registering any pressure.
I know Wizards your go-to guy for cars, but I really think this needs Johnnys touch on it. I'm not saying exclude the Wizard, but personally this is a bit more in Ninja's wheel house. Bugattis are made to be a daily driver. one of the orders that Ferdinand Piëch gave that in addition to the Bugatti being capable of doing what they do, they are also as functional and reliable as any other VW group car (no meme)
I said it on the first video your charcoal canister is clogged those vapor valves being open wouldn't cause a misfire. They would cause a check engine light where the charcoal canister might not.
Stallantis are falling short in the UK as well - 2.0CDTi clutches / Flywheels are coming up short, for example - many cars off the road / in workshops taking up space until they pull their fingers out…
I was wondering, by percentage, how Wizard working on this Bugatti compares to other manufacturers. So if 450 were ever made, says Wikipedia, then working on this 1 car means Wizard has worked on %0.00222... of all Veyrons. That might not seem like much, but to get to the same number for, for example, the Toyota Camry, he'd need to have worked on 28,889 of them.
For reference, if you worked at a Toyota dealership for 10 years as a lube tech, you'd still need to change oil on more than 10 camrys per day to hit that 28,889 in 10 years.

This channel should be renamed to Hoovies Buyers Guide- Cars to avoid.
It should be named: how to get rich making stupid car UA-cam videos
Wait. Hasn't it ALWAYS been that???😂😂😂
I dunno, I'm warming to the Veyron, it's not too new for me and it's basically a posh VW golf.
He always says it is the stupidest channel on UA-cam
More like Hollywood Hoovie the past year. Lol
when the " bonnet" was off, the tail lights looked like 2000's Chevy Cavalier
Paying that much money for a car and then living in fear……
Especially after always saying he was afraid to drive the Coutach because it was so valuable.
Its all bs. He'll probably drive it a bit and dog tf out of it before selling it.
If you have to worry about a car you bought then you really can't afford it.
Imagine minding your business
Hoovie is loaded with cash! Don't believe his whining. He's worth at least 5 million usd
Imagine getting charged $10k for a service and they don’t check the coolant levels.
With 10 radiators there's plenty of opportunities for air pockets that need purging. What concerns me more is they put the effort in to swap transmissions when it only needed a new shifter.
That’s extra
Thanks to this video, my desire for a Bugatti has dropped to zero.
For those who don't know, Lloyd's of London insures things line entire fleets of cargo ships, oil platforms, satellites, etc. Just shows how ridiculous the car is. They do insure some rather silly things as well, but then again, they're British.
Like Nick Cannon has his balls insured for 10 million with Lloyd's.
I'd never considered the fact that satellites get insured until now. Of course it's perfectly logical but still funny to think about
@@xiouee yeap rockets blow up or fail to reach correct orbit every now and then.
They used to insure WWF and WCW guys until the Rick Rude incident.
But I've recently acquired an AMG Mercedes and I gotta say, I've had it up to 130 and it pulls at all speeds and just doesn't give up! Those turbos just don't know when to say when!
That alfa 75 is absolutely gorgeous, maybe the last real alfa romeo. It is actually my dream car
I clocked that one too! I've been fortunate enough to have owned 4 over the years, including a Turbo America. Love them and miss them.
Is it wrong that I'm more interested in the citroen xm in the background? One of the best riding cars I ever had.
And is that a Renault Fuego on the other side of the shop? I thought that the Americans were spared those.
@@philipsarchet9486are they that bad?
When they first came out I remember they had a major 30k mile service, they would send a team to you, they put a big tent around it, spent a week taking most of the car apart and back together. The wheels themselves were required replacement.
Cost was something like couple hundred grand...
That may not be exact but it was craaaaazzzyyyyyy money back then
I was sad to hear that you sold the Countach to get the Veyron, but now it's starting to grow on me. Best of lucks in your endeavors. Keep up the great content.
It was a mistake to sell that car
@@jjlpinct Not that 25th anniversary edition one. It's considered the least appealing of the countach's and also the least valued of them. The American standard bumpers, rectangle rear lights and extra side vents, just away too much from how '87 or earlier Countach looked. The American regulations were just dumb(now a days you can have a Countach look more like the European Style original).
I still cant get over the fact you actually got a Veyron!!!! Grats Tyler. You earned it!
I love Tyler so much, his fleet is wild, Going over the Bugatti, then they detour int he shop to his Challenger taking forever, then his 2 other Ferrari's. The dream Hooptie fleet....
🤣🤣🤣
It's really special, but is it as special (not to mention as easy to maintain) than a Countach?
@@boilerhousegarage Im around Tyler's age and I dont understand the love for the Countach. I would also say that the market for them is near all time peak
@@andrewbaskett8581I remember selling my first house in 2014 for 180k and thinking it was at an all time high. House sold for 1.2 million a few months ago.
Its a £10-15 Bosch Evap Purge Valve. VW/Audi common issue. Its still a VW at heart.
The Veyron is truly the most impressive car you have or could ever have but after seeing what it takes to operate one, I am now so excited to own since new 2004 Chevy Tahoe with everything and no issues at all. It was paid off 18 years ago so whatever it needs I give it with original GM parts (except for the Sony head unit upgrade). Same with my 2010 Toyota Rav4 Limited (paid cash).
So my garage only has those two and a 2013 BMW R1200GS Rallye. All paid for is exciting, but it is so much fun to see what you got going on! The Veyron! How are you ever going to top that!
goes to show you that just because a shop is expensive, does not mean that they know how to do the job. car wizard is the best. and also the car ninja.
No Fear! I watched my grandfather totally take apart a Ferrari 308 engine... Measure everything... Order new camshafts with a hot grind, custom heads, and really wake up that beautiful machine. It's just metal work by an Italian, was what he told me...
wow, that sounds like something my 04 Tacoma is doing, there is a rollover valve that engages when you fill it up. the first start after a fillup always stalls. I Get P0442 and P0446 codes, probably going to replace the charcoal canister since it's there and pulling the bed off it a bit of work.
Good luck with your
Hovie has a super car and a super model and a farm and a shop ! Mission complete !
Not quite. Where is his big boat?
He has patterned his life after Jeremy Clarkson.
@@KenWilcox-b5cwhere is his helicopter, jet,cruise ship 😒😉
Man, i was wondering who the lady was. I took a break from UA-cam. Came back to some changes with a few UA-camrs separating from their spouses. That's unfortunate.
Hoovie is still missing the mistress, boat, airplane, helicopter, and Knighthood.
My Bentley Continental GT had same issue. If I filled up to the brim, it would misfire for the first few miles. Fortunately the GT V12 was so thirsty it would quickly deplete the overfill and the problem would go away.
W12
HAHAHA
The surroundings in Wizard's workshop is fascinating! Next to the Veyron is a MGB, then I catch a glimpse of a Citroen XM (how did tat end up there?). On the other side there is a Renault Fuego and Wizard's Citroen DS. Next to Hoovie's Ferrari is an Alfa Romeo (Giulia?) It would be something extra to come into a European workshop and find that combination!
Wiz, Dan, and Hoovie handling that bonnet better than 95% of Bugatti techs 😂
30:06 wizard at his finest.
Daniel son at his finest 10:58
Use your OBD tool to override the purge valves to see if they work. Most valves are normally open, some are 0-5v and others are PWM. While you are connected, check the tank pressure transmitter to see if it is registering any pressure.
I know Wizards your go-to guy for cars, but I really think this needs Johnnys touch on it. I'm not saying exclude the Wizard, but personally this is a bit more in Ninja's wheel house. But either way, I don't think either would have the insurance to cover it for more than just a quick visit. Little things you don't think about with cars like that.
Ninja $$$$ too wizard is his buddy buddy
Funnily enough, I've never had to worry about little things like insurance on a car like this. Nice problem to have though.
I feel that Tyler's bank account is in so much jeopardy that I actually didn't skip the ads on this one. He'll need every cent!
Ninja probably didn't want to take the insurance risk, Wizard was willing to.
Awesome car, an amazing piece of sports car design, the 1971 MGB Roadster
Formed the basis of the Mazda MX5.
@@wayland7150 Lotus Elan was the basis but the thought of all those British roadsters of the past was there in spirit too.
First car I ever drove when I was a kid. My dad was in the passenger seat, we were on a campsite somewhere. I kept stalling it because I couldn't reach the pedals properly. Good times.
Hoovie is the best most thankful youtuber ever. will never stop watching this channel.
Wizard is now one of only a handful of people in the world to work on a Bugatti that isn’t a Bugatti employee.
Waiting for Hoovie to Order Wizard to drill a hole through Floor to reach a forgotten Rod that needs adjusted.
You'd also find your missing 10mm socket if you did that.
Oetiker crimped ear clamps can be replaced using German fuel injection clamps.
Harley Davidson & Polaris use Oetiker clamps on oil lines.
You can buy Oetiker clamp crimp tools & clamps from McMaster Carr.
I love it when Wizard reacts to a pull. Its priceless. Its like 2 boys in middle school under the cheerleader's bleachers. Something you will never forget.
That's creepy
Wizzard's humor is proof positive he was in the Army!
Ridiculous that the dealership sells you an insanely expensive exotic car... then trys to charge you an insane $4500 for an issue they shouldve found themselves... even if they never found it themselves the expense should be coming out of THEIR pocket. They sold you a faulty car. Unacceptable
Car Wizard has caught his unicorn.Gonna be very interesting getting his honest mechanics oppinion of the engineering.
Tyler, thank you for bringing this halo car among halo cars to us common folk, taking us behind the curtain to see something very special in a way we never have before.
More of this is needed!!!
Hovie is a Legend breaking out the Night at The Roxbury!
Anyone else catch the subtle response to uncle Ramon over on DDE saying (paraphrased) “All these UA-camrs buying Bugattis… they don’t really love them.”
Hoovie - “What is love?”
DDE?
The guys whose vids consist of them tuning supercars really badly and breaking them?
Your relationship with the wizard is legendary. 👍
He really is a wizard. Nice job diagnosing that valve leak
So wild to think an inspection at the dealership costs more than my car
There is a Mercury Cougar based Bugatti Veyron replica available now, for $4500 Wizard could replace the entire powertrain.
After six months of insanely costly ownership Hoovie should get one, it would be the most Hoovie move that Hoovie could possibly Hoovie.
Google "bugatti veyron mercury cougar" and you'll find one for sale. No joke. And yes, it's being sold by a man in Florida. Suprised?
It was first sale several years ago, unless you have a current link?
Ive known a couple guys like car wizard as a apprentice. These guys are gold if we loose them we loose it all.
One of the common things on these is it’s VW and it’s designed to never fully work right
The Citroen DS feels happy now that another FRENCH car is in the shop
The Fuego was there too!
Citroen XM 😉
@GuillaumePugnet quite the neat car
I guess even though it very much looks like a german car under the skin.
Its an XM
This is so cool! I’m sure the wizard was equally nervous and excited to be working on the Bugatti
The hourly rate.....Its $10 to turn the wrench and $390 to know how far to turn it.😉👍
9:06 gave me MAJOR anxiety
It is that 😂😂😂
Wizard is in heaven working on this
Bugattis are made to be a daily driver. one of the orders that Ferdinand Piëch gave that in addition to the Bugatti being capable of doing what they do, they are also as functional and reliable as any other VW group car (no meme)
Daily driver but it has a built in socket for putting the battery on charge while it sits?
Garage queen.
@ that doesn't mean anything. Bugatti making the car to be used as a daily driver does not mean that the owners would use it as such and it knows that
I said it on the first video your charcoal canister is clogged those vapor valves being open wouldn't cause a misfire. They would cause a check engine light where the charcoal canister might not.
We will come back to see if you were right
Stallantis are falling short in the UK as well - 2.0CDTi clutches / Flywheels are coming up short, for example - many cars off the road / in workshops taking up space until they pull their fingers out…
The reverb in wizards office is crazy on headphones. 3:18 between that and the audio being stereo, he sounds a mile away on headphones.
1 of 450 is .222%, not .0022%
@davidv6959 What do you expect from a chud who puts the percent symbol before the number?
For reference, if you worked at a Toyota dealership for 10 years as a lube tech, you'd still need to change oil on more than 10 camrys per day to hit that 28,889 in 10 years.
