I like the handle on this much better than either one of those Bark River knives. But straight out of the box I did not care for the V ground edge. But after I put a convex on it I like it much better. And for the price I would probably buy this over the Bark River knives.
@@shane4176 Thank you for responding back to me on this. I have two Bark River Knives (Bravo 1 LT in magnacut and Mini-gunny in magnacut- I have really been impressed with both. I have the Cold Steel Master Hunter, I love everything about it except how think it is and with it was a convex grind as you mention. I also have a a benchmade Adamas 375 in Cru-wear (I like this one too but wish all these companies would do a convex grind. I have some spydercos (folders) that I rally like, ecellent heat treat and awesome steels, I jsut wish they would do more fixed blades. All this to say I think of all the knives I have I like my Bark Rivers the most.
@user-sb3bw1ct5r Bark river knives are hard to beat. Great knives with amazing heat treat and good ergonomics. If you are in the states, you could mail me your master hunter I'll convex it for you free of charge.
I have the Aurora and the handle feels extremely comfortable, But, the grip is vastly less sure than the Coldsteel krayex rubber grips. I just feel like the krayex offers a more confidence inspiring grip that can be used with or without a lanyard. Where as the Bark River has that slippery component to it.

Nice wood pile, oh and great video
Buck 619 had a great handle, too. But 3V is a much better steel.
I got the srk and master hunter both in 3v steel l like the steel and those handles are great
Man those handles definitely are!
I have double extra large hands that it fits my hand perfect
What do you think about this knife as you compare it to the Bark River EX-1 or Bark River EX-2 you reviewed in the past?

Yes 100%
