  • What an interesting video we have today! Understanding the Sphenoid and how it relates to proper rib cage and pelvis movement is a relatively new and unexplored area in previous videos. But it is a GREAT focal point for elite movement in golf swings!

    A true blend of art and science. So glad I found this team....time to get to work. Ironically, I have a solid background in Kinesiology but was not smart enough to apply it to my golf swing. More Please!! 🙏

    I ignored this video when you originally released it as it seemed so removed from actually swinging a club. I had it all wrong.
    This video: 1.) is a cheat code for letting your body know how it should move; and 2.) revealed to me that my overly rigid head was actually resisting my spiral.
    Great work once again.

    So cool that someone has finally brought some attention to this topic. Something I noticed a while back but not much on the topic. It really does free up some movements

    The sphenoid is the hip bone of the skull. It is such an important bone in functional medicine. When you look at it separately from the other bones in the skull it is remarkably similar to the shape as the hip bone.

    I just like how you keep the swing athletic. And moving
    Micro managing positions for amateurs is a never ending bad battle

    People trash me for watching the club head go back but I never stopped because I felt what you guys are talking about here. I do need to add the pelvic drop and eyes out on the downswing, but to start backswing feels so good.

    This falls into something I found and learned a long time ago. David Duval back in the day is my inspiration and how I imagine it. Eyes fixed on the ball is so restrictive. Trust in your body’s ability to spot the ball when required I.e impact

    Funny I have developed a habit from practicing a lot that I always look back at my back swing to make sure my path is good. I hated that I always do it but now it seems to be a good thing lol no more being self conscious about it anymore cause it always felt comfortable

      lol! Let’s just agree that the ball consistently performing for the player is the true tell of a good golf swing

    During the backswing, with this move, can you still see the ball with your right eye. I have minimal vision with my left eye, so I only have the ability to see the ball with the right eye. Thanks!

    Been doing it for years,im 60 years old off +2 H/C people have to try making the movement for 15 minutes a day before hitting a ball. it works guys........

  • @ReSourceEnergetics
    @ReSourceEnergetics 5 місяців тому +1

    I’m pretty sure the players that do that move do it because of eye dominance. The eyes lead the way. You can try to relate it to fascial lines, but you should consider the eyes first because they precede movement.

    I was wondering why I would feel it in my neck when I swung a little more aggressively now that I am using this type of swing. I wasn’t letting the flow include my head, lol.

    I'm certainly not the expert here, but went right to a compilation of pro golfer slow motion swings and quite literally NONE of them do this. Head is a rock until after impact. (shrug)

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  8 місяців тому +1

      Definitely not saying that all so this, but definitely can’t say that none do this. It’s also a way for people to feel spine bend higher in the t and c spine which makes it healthy for the player. I’ll make up a compilation of a few players and put it on the gram so you can see this…

  • @PC-pd7hl

    Very confusing video. Couldn't understand the exact movements of the head and neck throughout the whole swing. Should it be a combination of head turn and side bend of the neck on both sides back and through? Should have first demonstrated step by step the turning of the head and side bend of the neck RELATIVE TO THE SHOULDERS whilst standing straight up, then add in the posture and other body movements afterwards. Also, are there any tilting movements of the head up and/or down throughout?

  • @grahamjones7371
    @grahamjones7371 8 місяців тому

    Not a criticism, im told my head moves like this But the JN head move is a lot easier to do with confidence if like him and many tour pros you are left eye dominant.
    Most of us unfortunately are right eye dom and are scared shitless of not keeping that eye on the ball!

      @@elitegolfschools I learnt to overcome it by learning to hit a ball with my eyes shut! starting off by clipping a range peg
      Plus like every good golfer that ever lived i learnt to bounce a ball on a wedge
