    Just started practice again. I always start with wedge launch angles.
    If I can get that dialed it’s easy to hit my numbers. 40-125

    I’d like to thank you for another great instruction session! I’ve been doing some practice with the wedge swing, then took the lesson to course. 58 degree, 60 yards to pin, par 5. Landed around 3”” to right of the cup and jumped in for an eagle!

    I find the new feeling of your golf swing is easy to achieve apart from the squatting sequence. The backward move of the ball with the chest seems contrary to all I have experienced in over 58 years of playing golf. However, I have found it does work very well, creating a great path for the club mass into the ball. If only I knew this method much earlier…

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Рік тому +1

      Right on! So happy you’re finding success with it! And the dropping sequence doesn’t need to be much for most. We simply want to see players stay in or gain a slight amount of trail hip flexion during the transitionary phase

    The back chain dominance, rotation-based swing keeps the launch angle low, but what ‘shot system’ do you advocate for controlling energy into the shot? How does one control contact and distance with the center of mass moving so far forward when rotating as advocated?

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Рік тому

      Definitely will have more drop which is part of com moving forward when looking at this in 3D space.

    Would be nice if you could overlay flightscope data w/ tracer (V Launch Angle, spin loft, spin) to show the result and correlation to feels. I'd be curious to see his various metrics as I've been working on flighting my wedges instead of trying to hulk them.. Thanks for everything. Been playing my best season since starting to follow you guys. Peace.

    Hi guys, been loving the info you've been pumping out. Was just curious when you talk about the drop and turn getting the centre of mass of the ribs in front of the ball is that the same as the float forward/rib sway idea? Or is the rib sway/float forward more a feel to encourage the rotation to bring the chest/low point forward? (Thinking more full swing irons than wedges with this)

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Рік тому

      Definitely talking in fairly same language here (rib sway and bcd/drop). Energy will help dictate how much float forward you will have in the com of the ribs into the strike 👍

    What are the Flightscope numbers for a stock 95 yd sand wedge for a good wedge player? Path. FTP, DYNAMIC LOFT, APEX

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Рік тому

      Great question, path and face relatively 0… will have to look deeper into DL, and apex will be somewhere in the 70-80 foot range

      To piggy back onto a production challenge, look to get a reflector close the camera to fill in some of the shadows. When the sun is low and sidey like it is in this video it creates deep shadows on faces. I know the content is mainly about the swings, and it’s damn good content too, but being able to see you guys clearly will help and add production value. Keep churning out the great content!!

    Since I have tried to adopt a more rotational swing which works wirh my irons, the wedge play dramatically degraded with tons of shanks. Maybe I am the only one?

    Love what you said about the problem of a 9-5 swing concept due to different outcomes. That is the reason it never worked for me. Add a little adrenalin to that (a la Dave Pell short game bible) and your 9-5 is gonna go twice the distance with what you perceive as your normal level of speed/power!😅
    I have had success with Daniel Grieve’s book however in which setup creates a natural and unforced restriction on swing size and the power which you are able/not able to exert. I’m playing to 5 hcp with a crap full swing but I kiddy constantly get up and down and putt well. 😬
    Also giving great perspective in the last comment about how stock shots are enough the majority of the time.🤙🏻

  • @OfCourseICan
    @OfCourseICan 8 місяців тому

    After the first few swings I was going to comment: there was NO rotation of the ball in the backswing.

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  8 місяців тому

      You don’t need a massive rotation of the ball for it to be effective. Some goes a long way! The difference between Mito and Homa is mostly due to what is happening in the major motor pattern in the ribs, spine, and pelvis. This is what typically effects the ‘ball rotation’ the most in the swing 👍

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  8 місяців тому

      Also, typically see that in higher energy reps, not necessarily in distance wedges
