    Watched this last night, just left the range. Might have missed 3 or 4 shots out of 100. I’ve tried every thought possible to “keep posture” but the way you describe the falling sensation just clicked. Speed trained afterwards and never had a swing over 125, had a 128 and 131 with that feeling - crazy results! Thank you guys!

    I think the idea of passive rotation of the pelvis finally resonated with me after watching this. Once you drop the pelvis, the idea is to maintain the space while the sternum motors, i.e., passive pelvis rotation? As a chronic pelvic thruster, i feel like i have to sit and do nothing from the belt down.

    Watch 1:35 in slow motion.
    Starts his downswing retracing his forward leaning pelvic lean ( notice belt facing ground), but as he’s coming down into impact he’s engaging his abdominals to ‘crunch’ (hollow out the stomach) which neutralizes / levels out the pelvic lean - see the finish where his belt is now up and facing the target and not at the ground facing the target direction.
    This initiation of the transition from forward to neutral or backward ward pelvic lean is a must as it would be incredibly difficult if not impossible for the pelvis to fully rotate level over the lead leg with the downward pelvic lean still present. The pelvis needs to take a ‘shortcut’ through the swing plane and not follow the clubs circular rotation to create the ‘snap’ in the upper body. The inflection of the hips through the downswing via the abdominals muscles is what creates this.

    You have great content on how the body moves for pressure, force, and power most created by the rotation of the rib cage. When will you guys start talking about arm swing and putting speed into all these power moves? Victor Hovland has all these body moves but he also has a flying right elbow that he levers down to the rib cage to create a whiping action with the arms at impact n and very quick arm speed from pulling the arms down.

    • @elitegolfschools

      Hip flexion creates arm speed 👍 gotta move the engines well otherwise all the speed in the world will not translate to efficiency of contact… hit ‘em well 🙏

    The part where the spiral line pulls on the outer band on the foot is a secret sauce. I’ve been watching other videos and artificially pick up my lead foot and drop it but it should be a passive pick up of the lead foot. The spiral line pulls it off the ground so you can drop it a little to recenter along with your ribs. Great instructions

    Great video and information. Around 8:50, you show the pelvis dropping while it looks like you’re backing into transition…no active rotation yet. So Money! From 10:15 on is where the Gold is. I have been on this line of action for years, I cringe when I would see instructors promote the GG External leg action. The more you flare the heels (Goata) the more you focus your energy on the Strike. A gentle suggestion would be to Trigger with Left Obliques and then go right leg Goata to Hurl the Club into Motion. This creates a Pelvic Oscillation that sends energy down/up the Spiral Chain. Good stuff Gents.

    I ask this because all your other videos make so much darn sense. Picking up the heel is understood, but do you really drop it so your lead foot is more closed? It doesn’t show up in the other videos, so I’m assuming it’s just an exaggeration of the point of the internal femur rotation, right? I have injured tendons on the outside ankle on the lead foot so I like to flare it out to remove the tension as I rotate through it. All good to pick up and replace at the same angle as setup?

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  11 місяців тому +1

      Certainly all good to plant on the same angle. The heel planting closes to the target is an interesting thing we see with many high level movers, but it’s not a necessity

    I have struggled with my mental image of the drop, but now it seems more clear to me that the drop does not occur when the body is in the starting position (as its commonly illustrated), but after the chest has turned quite a bit, and dragged the hips along. Thus, the drop puts the booty almost in the direction of the target. And then it struck me: the drop is the weight shift where you load the lead foot/leg for the hit.
    What makes it easier for me to put my mind around this, is to think of a baseball swing. So much easier to grasp once the upper body tilt is removed from the equation.
    Does this make any sense to you? Is my reasoning within the parameters of your system?
    PS Your material is so good. Can't stop thinking about these things.

    • @elitegolfschools

      Don’t overthink this bro - obviously good players still sometimes have the sensation of “using the hips.” Everything we provide here are ingredients to a recipe. Each player will need a different amount of each thing in order to line their own patterns up well. Go with what feels right 🙏

      I think they are missing a video on weight balance along with their weight shift. But I suspect you naturally balance your foot when you allow the spiral line to pull your foot up and recenter in the backswing. Also you might be trigger the wrong active muscle to downswing. Maybe you are using going over the top instead of using your lead spiral line.

    When replanting into the lead side with the pelvis drop and rib sway, where is the majority of the weight on the lead foot? I find my weight on the ball of my lead foot when moving into the lead side, and then moving to the heal through impact and finish. Not sure if this is correct. • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Рік тому

      We are referring to how the ‘Snead’ drill is performed. Going into active dual external rotation in transition doesn’t happen. Dropping a ball in transition between your knees does happen but not because of actively externally rotating the lead femur. It moves external in backswing and internal in forward swing, even though it appears that the opposite is happening 👍
