Thats funny I think the same thing. This is easily one of their most underrated songs. I seen this originally about 10 years ago and still look it up just to get the only version of this live we will probably ever have.
After all these years and more modern metal drumming to compare it to this video still absolutely blows my mind every single time. It’s a sublime and terrifyingly beautiful performance.
0:08 - i love how the Tempo that he hi-hats out is much slower than the actual tempo...but, maybe because theyre brothers, maybe because theyre bandmates, they still got in-sync and up to speed within the first Played beat... Lamb of God is one of the few bands that can sound EXACTLY like the studio version, on a live stage
I think it is really just a countdown and they know the actual speed from years of experience playing the song. If he counted in at the speed of the song it would just give the guitarist a split second to jump in 😂
By far one of the most challenging LOG songs of all time And the Brothers decided to play it at a faster Tempo than the original version. Fuckin nuts. Wish LOG would play this Live😢
As far as the difficulty the ride is fast for nonblasters. If you haven't warmed up u start cramping BEFORE the end double kick. There's a lot of parts and sitting on the floor tom sections. I'm amazing at dkick so I can do the cut to the bone section but that could be challenging to nail. The ending dkick is fast if ur taking it easy but slower than speeding thru it which means u have to get in your leg muscles to be accurate. The ride snare work is fun but probably not very hard. Iconic song. Probably the best LOG
@@BzechuanInteractivemaybe not each part individually but there's a lot of key parts of the groove that need just the right kinda swing and timing to make the song sound right and they probably never felt like it would coalesce properly consistently.
Why they never played this live I will never know. One of their best if you ask me.

@@theaceofspades485 I think it’s like the technicality is so great probably why it’s hard as hell to play on guitar hand burner.
Probably because it's absolutely solid to play.
@@totc6196i thought that at first but they have plenty of songs that are way harder than this that they play live. Still Echoes for example.
so you guys are saying lamb of god never played blood of the scribe on any
of their concerts?
Dime and Vinnie..
Chris and Willie...
There will never be a brother duo like these two..
Eddie and Alex
Joe and Mario Duplantier
The calvalera brothers from sepultura
there are surprisingly many actually, all unique in their own ways. It's a beautiful thing for sure
Dude imagine growing up in that house...
it'd be fucking heavy 😂
And THAT is how floor toms should sound. Good lord.
To get that sound it will take entire salary
Mind blowing. Been a fan for well over a decade and still can't wrap my mind around this guy.
This never gets old❤🎉
The soul of Lamb of God. Art is the best they could hope for but he will never be what Chris was in that band.
The Rev and Chris Adler and the drummer from Dying Fetus are the Top 3 best drummers ive ever heard
Gotta check out el estapario
@TheThreeCount Trey Williams that guy saw them live once and thought Dying Fetus had the old singer from the uk band Kasabian as their drummer lmfao
@TheThreeCount Man Kevin Talley was something else. His work in Destroy The Opposition is fantastic and he's inspired me so much as a drummer
This guy is so under rated. He can give so much energy to a songs musicality without even trying. His name really belongs among the greats

I always loved how willy implemeneted those pull offs.
That riff at 1:45 is so fucking sick. LOG is forever legendary
In the comments to make sure the guitarist doesn't get lost in this either. Not sure who it is but he murdered as well.
That's Willy adler bro, his picking hand is unmistakable
That’s his brother, Willy
Not only his brother but one of the two guitarists of the band
I miss Chris in L.O.G.

He's a monster
snare sound so "chris"
at the moments it sounds like Death
willie was playing the guitar??
Yup
Such a great drummer. Shame he left Lamb Of God. Props for the hq video and sound
edit: lmao i watched it at 666 views
how is there not a clip of this song played live?!
It's hard af on guitar
They don't play it live, like ever
The song is too hard to play live
I dont accept the "it's too hard to play live" the closest thing to being remotely difficult to play is the chorus.
