    Yeonmi Park, who defected from North Korea, talks to Schulz on Flagrant about what it's like to live in North Korea, Kim Jong Un's pleasure squad harem, the prevelance of propaganda, and why China is still propping up the brutally oppressive regime.
    Flagrant is a comedy show that delivers unfiltered, unapologetic, and unruly hot takes directly to your dome piece. In an era dictated by political correctness, hosts Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, along with AlexxMedia and Mark Gagnon, could care less about sensitivities. If it’s funny and flagrant it flies. If you are sensitive this podcast is not for you. But if you miss the days of comedians actually being funny instead of preaching to a choir then welcome to The Flagrancy.

    Great clip and Andrew's point at 8:27 about " it seems like as long as we're getting something from them or we need something from them that we just kind of look the other way with the Civil Rights situation" - yeah sadly this is a truth about humanity in general and it's a big part of why it took so long to end slavery or how any other atrocities happen or even homelessness and other poverty: if you don't see it affecting you and your family personally every day - then it's really easy for the brain to just ignore it - it takes a conscious effort and work and commitment to values and willingness to put in your own time, effort, and resources to actually effect those things, and that's sadly too high a price for most people, especially those that are just barely getting by in society to begin with. When we look back at history and are dumbfounded by how people could have let slavery or the holocaust or anything else happen - well, it's exactly the same way we all let horrible things happen today, we all look the other way b/c we don't want to make ourselves a target or risk instability in our own lives. Hopefully one day we'll mature enough as a species where we don't do that anymore, but it sure as hell won't be in my lifetime unfortunately.

      End slavery? Blacks still enslave blacks to this day in Africa. Slavery is completely different. Soon as blacks understand that they themselves are the problem that's when their situation would completely change. Soon as they understand that the biggest killer of black men is other black men. No cops no white guys. Soon as they come together to get a better situation they will be as good as anyone. The problem is they will get mad about white cops shooting an ARMED man or 1 or 2 killings. When In 1 city in America Chicago black kids kills more Black kids in 1 weekend than all cops combined. The problem is they hate to see one of thier brothers doing better and ask for advice or how to work hard for something. They just wanna go take what you got. That's why the diamond mines in Sierra Leon are stronger blacks enslaving other weaker blacks just like when whites came and bought them on the coast. Never did any white guys go to Africa and go hunting the land for slaves. North Korea is a terrible person in charge of making his entire population starve to death. North Koreans got it worse than any slaves in America had it.

    • @colonelb
      @colonelb Рік тому +2

      @@ScottProductions843 Oh absolutely. Being horrible to each other is a centuries old human universal. And here's a thought I've had, if the situation had played out the opposite way - had africans had superior weapons and built ships, sailed to euope and the americas, bought whites, and brought them back to africa so that the transatlantic slave trade went the other direction, and had they had the opportunity to do so, would they have? And my vote is "of course they would", because it's not about one race is morally superior than the other, it's just luck of the draw how the cards were dealt who invented ships and guns first.
      Something to think about

    My family fled the former Soviet Union. I wish there were more Americans could see conversations like this. I am sometimes shocked at how Americans are so willing to give away their freedom. My family fought for that freedom, we understand how easily it can be lost. Listen to her, she speaks the truth.

    So living in upper middle class in North Korea is like being poor everywhere else. I am guessing average people there are basically homeless. I grew up in a village in Eastern Europe and we were poor but we had water(once a week we could go in bath, other wise it would be too expensive) and we had electricity and we had cars and bikes. Used old ones but they worked. I am guessing in North Korea my family would be considered wealthy.
