North Korean Defector Yeonmi Park goes through her story of escaping North Korea through China, Mongolia and South Korea, how she crossed a mountain into China, was trafficked by farmers, escaped through the freezing Gobi Desert in Mongolia and eventually ended up in South Korea where she was able to gain an education but faced major discrimination.
Flagrant is a comedy show that delivers unfiltered, unapologetic, and unruly hot takes directly to your dome piece. In an era dictated by political correctness, hosts Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, along with AlexxMedia and Mark Gagnon, could care less about sensitivities. If it’s funny and flagrant it flies. If you are sensitive this podcast is not for you. But if you miss the days of comedians actually being funny instead of preaching to a choir then welcome to The Flagrancy.

Seriously? unnamed "american" and "european" documentarists devoted time and effort for inconsistencies in her story?
Nice try bud. The only inconsistencies I've found with her and other defectors are circumstantial which is due to location and subcultures within NK. Other than that when it comes to governance, law enforcement, the judicial process, they all say the same thing. Which means it's all true.

How can people be so cold and uncaring? I'm disabled and close to being homeless and have noone, nothing, etc...I cry in pain, but to think of this young lady and their country, I can't fathom this.
I'm not very smart I'll admit, especially as I get older my diseases eat away at my mental capacity, but united States went into places for war to get things like oil or other resources, leave troops and do things, but somehow the world allows this to go on?
I'm so confused how this world works and how it seems everywhere just ignores the weak and sick or those unable to stand up for themselves, and let's them suffer and die. Where is humanity, empathy, kindness...love?

Some people smile or laugh as a reaction to hearing terrible things. Humans are often instinctive when it comes to diffusing tension as a survival mechanism. These things are horrible to talk about, so it can trigger a smile or mild laughing when people are uncomfortable with what they are hearing.

@@michaeldebree4870 well that’s simply not what happened. If you would read her book, the process of getting out of China to South Korea was slow, so they didn’t “test” them to see how much they new, rather they taught the defectors about the Bible during their months there. The conditions weren’t luxury obviously because what they were doing was illegal, but these people were risking heir lives to help people escape. Of course they WANTED them to stay faithful, but they would let them go regardless of how much they know about the Bible. Stop assuming the worst just because they’re Christians

She knew if she escaped 3-8 generations of her lineage will be wiped out but yet she escaped. When she was asked why didn’t her father escape with her she said he was sick and it was better that he doesn’t know because if he got caught escaping he would be killed, yet she escaped with her mother ( who will also be killed if caught escaping ) and her father got a 10 year prison sentence.
I can’t help but think of these facts when I see her speaking, yes, she survived , that’s awesome, but at what cost? A hundred people dying? That’s cruel and selfishness.
She is 13 when she escaped, the accusations can be told to her mother.

What bothers me about this interview, so far I've seen nothing but men surrounding her. Also, who chose her outfit to wear on the show? It's very revealing. For a young lady just coming out of her situation, surely any person with any sense at all would have chosen her to wear something less sexy and revealing. Who chose her outfit, I wonder? I think a woman would have made a much better interviewer. I hope she still isn't around men calling the shots for her. She needs to be surrounded by women, NOT men. This whole interview made me a bit nausha. Poor young lady. I can't imagine what she went through. Hearing her story made me feel such sympathy for her. I do hope she is in a good place, now. Lord help her!!
