The new threaded barrel 21A's and 3032's are very collectable with all of the different finish and grip variations being produced by Beretta. These pistols are a real hoot to shoot.
Sweet. These are awesome little guns. The 32 does not have an extractor, im not sure if a 380 version does or not. Part of having the tip up barrel is that the extractor would hang up when opening the barrel. I have carried a 21a for years as a snake gun while fishing. It has killed many snakes, turtles, and muskrats.
I have a .25 950. Lots of fun. I slip it in a pocket holster when I walk through my woods. It's good for plinking. IIRC the .22 is the Minx, the .25 is the Jetfire.
What a wonderful collection. Thank you for stepping back in time for a minute. I get tired of the black plastic guns of the modern age. They all look the same and pretty much do the same thing. Older Beretta pistols are not only stylish but they were ahead of their time.
I have been collecting the 950 for years in 22 short. I have a couple in 25 ACP also. I also have a couple of more modern 21A 22 long rifle versions. I like them as you can carry them clipped inside your boot with a good holster as a backup to your normal carry, in case you've got to go to the ground. The model 21A 22 long rifle versions are more reliable though.
You mentioned the half-cock notch as a safety. I understand the later versions of the 950 had inertia type firing pins that allow the gun to be carried with the hammer down on a loaded chamber. Carrying the gun on half cock comes with the risk of the gun discharging if the gun is dropped on the hammer and the notch breaks.
I've kept a Beretta 25 with me for the last 25yrs. 950BS Jetfire, 21a Bobcat, and a model 20. The model 20 is my favorite (DA & wraparound grips) And seems to be the only one without a nickname?!?

Tip the barrel, extract the cartridge, then lower the hammer over the now unloaded chamber. There is still the possibility of an unintended discharge from cocking the hammer over a loaded chamber. The later Model 21A Bobcat solved the .22 LR problem and added the SA/DA capability. Fun video. Mouse guns make me smile. I have several larger handguns but I shoot my mouse guns just as often as the larger ones. I wish I still had my Beretta model 20 25 acp. They're just so much fun to shoot and challenging at a distance. What may be an easy target for my match grade1911 at 50 yards is a whole lot more challenging for my Beretta 81 BB
The 1954 has a problem with the ejector grabbing the round when the barrel is tipped down. I'd say cleaning and or filing the ejector would solve it. Or replacing the ejector spring.
My dad bought one about a year ago, that ejector is something, first round I fired through it threw the shell down my shirt, won’t forget that lol. Was always curious as to why the odd design, thanks for the information!
Once my grandfather died my grandmother found herself a 21a bobcat with the 25 and 22 barrel, is what made me realize I needed my 92fs,handed it too her and goes ot looks just like mine, feels good im like it is basically yours blown up hahaha
My Bobcat 21A .25 Holds 8+1 rounds and does not have an extractor. My 2nd gen 2032 Tomcat does not have an extractor either, nor does the model 96 .380 Cheetah. The flip-up breech-load feature prevents use of an extractor, and vice-versa. All the Beretta flip-up barrel pistols are blow-back ejection as such.
i have a 3032 with a crack in the frame. i have fired about 300 rounds and have had no problems. the crack has not enlarged at all. i really like the .32 acp.
Do they Minx models foul as quickly as the Bobcat? My 21 will fire about 2 magazines of mini mags with little issue. After that it gets weird. So every mag or so i have to clean the chamber and bore, then all is well again.

I have a Beretta 950 BS Jetfire 25 ACP.. I purchased in the mid 1990s.. carried it to the '90s to about 2003.. I still own it and will never part with it mine is really reliable and accurate.. too bad they discontinued that and they discontinued the bobcat in 25 ACP now.. I really do like the 25 ACP it's just as powerful as 22 long out of a short barrel pocket pistol but it has greater penetration in hard barriers Like the skull in the sternum..
Just got the 21a Covert(threaded barrel) works great!!!the manual says do not carry on half cock---carry cocked and locked or with the hammer down and safety on,,,,,r
A rather interesting fact the little .25 jetfires were popular with law enforcement as danger close backups it was not uncommon to see these in ankle holsters. Of course the small.38s like the chiefs specials were also popular yet not as comfortable. I mainly know this due to several family members who did patrol during the duty issued revolver age. If you have a .25 acp you really want to stick with fmj. Better penetration. I also own a few of these little "mouse fart problem solvers". Sights were never necessary considering if you had to pull the 950 then it was huggable close. Also the sights on these are nice because they are snag proof. Now they are more about the collectable value. People who know anything about the .25 autos know they are reliable as long as you have good magazines.
The .22 short CB or Target (7-800 fps) are no louder than a pellet gun in my Henry rifle but the stronger .22 short (1000+ fps) approach sonic and make a pretty loud pop.

@@nicktrue7915 I haven't seen a price spike on firearms at all. I buy a few a week and not even a slight increase. Now ammo on the other hand has spiked but is getting back to normal here in missouri. 7¢ a round for .22lr 40¢ a round for 9mm
@@bvancere guns, ammo, processors for computers, wood, houses, graphics cards, Bluetooth speakers, the list goes on for things that have been either impossible to find, or the price for them has increased greatly.
i have this and a bobcat threaded ... i love them. rim fire is a different ammo with the mouse guns ... and I carry a 92fs for work .. but these are still great tiny piston machines and love em
Fun video. Mouse guns make me smile. I have several larger handguns but I shoot my mouse guns just as often as the larger ones. I wish I still had my Beretta model 20 25 acp. It was smaller than the model 21 and larger than the 950. Still have 2 Baby Browning 25 autos, a keltec P32 32 acp, a Beretta 81 BB 32 acp, 2 Ruger LCPII's in 22 and 380 acp. They're just so much fun to shoot and challenging at a distance. What may be an easy target for my match grade1911 at 50 yards is a whole lot more challenging for my Beretta 81 BB
My Inox Bobcat in 22lr is ALWAYS everyone favorite to shoot
I love Berettas, and I love pocket guns. One of these is basically a holy grail for me.
ive got the bobcat and agree, its a great fun little gun. it does like hot ammo.
I have the tomcat 30-32. I love it!
It was my first beretta. Started my addiction.
The 1954 model with the medallions is beautiful work
Despensioning buckshot one pellet at a time. ✔
Good one!
The four-inch looks like a mini Walther P38.
That's Scorpio's pistol, Dirty Harry fans.
It was a favorite among the gestapo too along with the luger and ppk
this commenter looks like a miniature 19 year old. WOW NO ONE NOTICED BEFORE U
I picked up a beretta 950 bs jetfire that was unfired. Carry it quite often in a fanny pack 👍😀
I am huge fan of your page!!!! Keep making videos please, you are reason why I got a .22 rugar long rifle and .22 LR pistol for small game and defense
i have a 3032 with a crack in the frame. i have fired about 300 rounds and have had no problems. the crack has not enlarged at all. i really like the .32 acp.
I sent mine back for the same problem. They replaced the pistol.
Yessss I’ve been waiting for a New mouse gun video! You should do a giant pistol video next with some really obscure large handguns
HAVE you ever found and shot a LLama? I would love to see a review of one of the older models - Please???
I have a Beretta Bobcat 21a. I have severe arthritis in my hands and have trouble racking a slide.
I would love one of theses in .25 or .32 acp.
I would have loved to have seen the 950 in .25 shot. Maybe in the near future?!
I love my lil 6.35 browning it never jamed good lil gun
Mine have been flawless. You didn't show the double/single action in .22 L.R. ?
One of my dream guns is a satin Tomcat with a matching suppressor
Do they Minx models foul as quickly as the Bobcat? My 21 will fire about 2 magazines of mini mags with little issue. After that it gets weird. So every mag or so i have to clean the chamber and bore, then all is well again.
Yes. Clean often
Love the Beretta Bobcat!
Fun and easy to conceal.
the first time I saw a 950 jetfire in 25acp was in the movie THEY LIVE Roddy Piper had on up his sleve at te very end of the movie shoot the satelite dish I fell in love with since that moment. Got a 32 Tomcat and a 22lr 21a still need to find 950
Phoenix Arms H22a is another great and cheap mouse gun. Very reliable and Phoenix Arms sells tons of spare parts. It also has a bunch of safeties but you can mod it.
Wow I would love 1 of those beauties...with the amount of black mambas and cobras I get in my roof .I can definitely see this being a reliable tool for the house.thanks for the great content.
I used to hunt with a single shot 22 rifle and only had shorts to use. One-shot kills in the head were what I excelled at and it fed the family in the winter. I'm from 1954 too LOL. No, i ain't old yet...just well broken in :) 4" barrel, 22 LR would be the one I would like the most.
The .22 Short is the Minx. The .25 ACP is the Jetfire.
In the 70s, I saw what I believe to be a single stack 9mm with a tip up barrel. I can't remember how to spell it but I think it's a Steyer.
I really do like the 25 ACP it's just as powerful as 22 long out of a short barrel pocket pistol but it has greater penetration in hard barriers
Like the skull in the sternum..
Just got the 21a Covert(threaded barrel) works great!!!the manual says do not carry on half cock---carry cocked and locked or with the hammer down and safety on,,,,,r
There aren't enough .22 short and .25acp guns on the market!
Right nobody even carries ammo here. Gotta order it online.
@@bvancere Not like we're shooting hundreds or thousands of .25acp per year. Just need a few boxes in the safe.
@@Sizukun1 lol true I have 250+ that have lasted me years cuz I never shoot it
These are also called Jetfire. One was used in Reservoir Dogs by Tim Roth.
The 25 acp model is the jetfire
I love the unique recoil option if these and the 21a. The round count of the 21’s seem to be the same to me.
part of me want to give Eric shit for wearing ear protection with 22 but the other part is saying you should always use protection
.22 handguns are loud compared to rifles.
The .22 short CB or Target (7-800 fps) are no louder than a pellet gun in my Henry rifle but the stronger .22 short (1000+ fps) approach sonic and make a pretty loud pop.
Love these baby guns !
Wish i could find them at my local gunshops tbh. I wish they were cheaper too.
My lil Beretta 950 is the .25acp cool lil pocket pistol.
i love those tip up barrel berettas. i want one in 32 acp
I really enjoy the tomcat 3032. Great for pocket carry. Good little shooter. Easy hits at 15 yards. I never really pushed any further than that, but seeing Eric at 25 yards makes me know what I am doing at the range next week.
have thought about a 22 LR pistol for pocket/tractor carry when around the farm
Excellent video. Neat little guns. I have a 21a Covert that I like quite a bit. I wouldn’t mind trying a new 3032 Covert.
I very much want one of those long barrel 22 short only ones. Scooch00 has a good video on it as well. Would be super cool as a little bitty gallery piece
I have plenty of 25acp. In fact S&B. My father has Italian 25 he bought when he was 21 I found another one just like it. Pre-dates serial numbers.
I recently inheritied a 25 auto bs Jet fire and I am told 25 auto pistols and ammo are no longer being made. Is this true ? Is it only going to be used as a paper weight ?
Apparently it's still produced. Hang on to it.
Love mine from the 80’s
I had one of those once, but it jammed and M took it away.
Just sitting here waiting for 32acp to come back
gotta revisit this mouse gun theme with the threaded barrel covert models.
JAM-O-MATIC and SUPER JAM-O-MATIC !... Haha!... GREAT VIDEO, BUD!
Hey Eric, would it be possible for you to do a video with redoing all of the springs in one of these little guns, I have one and it’s been giving me some issues and if you could maybe point in a direction of where to get springs for one of these little guys, thanks
