Brook trout are monsters. I was cleaning the trout I caiught one time and in the biggest one, I found a 6 inch power worm, 2 little crawfish, a little perch and a ball bearing in its gut.
I caught a lake trout in Flathead Lake Montana and in its guts I retrieved my lure from earlier that year! And proceeded to catch another one with my old lure! Awesome!
@zap2747 ,I Was living there. Haven't been for a while now, but I still have the "Lost Lure" and have caught several fish with it since! And if curious, it was a 3/8 ounce Kastmaster in rainbow trout.
You have inspired me to make my own lures my .041" stainless wire just arrived today, while making lures I watch your videos all the time. Thank you for getting me into this amazing hobby
Marling baits seems to never run out of ideas for what to make. Just when I think he has made every possible lure imaginable, he comes up with something he hasn’t made yet. Amazing!! 👍
This is by far my favorite bait you've ever made. Such a cool feature, such a sick action, my favorite species color scheme. I've been watching your videos for almost as long as your channel has been on UA-cam and I've really loved so many baits, but this one exceeds all others in my mind. Awesome job Nate
It's such an amazing paint job. I can easily see how easy it is to get caught up in the paint scheme. Knowing when to step back is crucial . I'm also so glad you decided to stop fishing with it , also giving it an A rating. The paint scheme is beautiful.
Maybe your best creation ever ! I've been following your videos for years now, tons of ideas and great building and paintings, but this one gets it all : functionality, design, looks realistic, swimming motion... GREAT LURE !!
I will one day make baits and you are my inspiration. I even tried to start but since I live in an apt, wood is dusty, so I'm trying to make plastic ones using a custom mold/frame
4:26 in the morning, not even the birds are up, but the coffe is hot, the Marln bait's video is fresh and here I am rigging up poles for some perch when the sun comes up. Thank you for being a vital part of this perfect morning. :)
The video is fantastic! Now I realize that I really need a tank or even a pool at home to test my lures during winter. It would really speed up my hobby. Thanks for the inspiration-I’ll definitely try to set something up! 🙏😀 Is there perhaps a video showing how to do it in the easiest and most budget-friendly way? It would really help with lure testing. You’re doing a great job 😀👊🍀
What an absolutely beautiful work of art. I've said it before and always will- thank you for sharing your talent, skills, entertainment and freaking awesome marling baits. Thanks again
Love it. We have a fresh water fish called a murray cod here in Australia, they grow over 100lb and over a meter in length, they love eating topwater baits that thing would get eatin for sure. Thanks for sharing.
You make such amazing baits....so realistic and functional....im curious if you could make a water strider or water bug....they could have awesome action...and look cool.
Brook trout may be my favorite fish to catch. Seeing you make one with such perfection was awesome. The detail you put even down to the white edges of their fins is sweet! A beautiful bait representing a pretty fish! I wouldn’t want to fish with that bait cause it’s too nice 😂
Down here in the Texas Gulf Coast the saltwater fishing turns on. The trout come into the bayous and the flounder are coming out of the bayous at the same time and the redfish are going out to sea. It’s the best time actually to fish inshore for a variety of fish. I have always used live bait in saltwater because I simply don’t know how to fish with artificial bait. That’s why I started watching your channel and I got caught up in how enjoyable you are to watch. I still have not been fishing with artificial bait but I don’t get to go fishing much anymore because I am paralyzed. I have to wait for someone to be able to take me.
This is just another amazing project you have completed! I enjoy your content. I like when your baits are super realistic. You could have a side play list of you recreating real life like fish into baits.
Some 1:1 scale baits of adult fish with detailed paint schemes would be very cool Mr. Nate. Especially like some salt water fish or bigger fresh water. Probably wouldn’t catch much but they would be A-fish-all. Could also fix them in positions and sell them as center pieces for man caves or wall art for bars or bait shops
Looking at that backwards cut joint got me thinking... you really should try to make a jointed lure that swims backwards! With the tailfin being the tie-off and the head going side-to-side. Would be interesting to see for sure! Love the vids, greetings from Finland!

Beautiful. Nice to see one make it home to the wall.
That’s a good looking brook trout just like the ones in the pit river and hat creek north California. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's a beautiful lure. If it catches fish or not! Great job, Nate.

Gorgeous Bait!
This bait is insane. You’ve taken most of your tricks and put them all to use in this bait.
a beautifull work. love the jaw action
Finn has gotten so big. I started watching when Mrs. Marling was preggers with him. Doesn't seem like that long ago.
Seriously! Crazy how time flies
This was excellent. Thank you.

No, that's a wall hanger. Beautiful. Cheers
Great job Nate, that looks awesome. I wouldn’t fish with it, just hang it up to look at it
Thought this was gonna be goofy but actually turned out really neat. Worked great also!
Cool bait concept! I was wondering if you could make a Vampire bat for Halloween and do fun facts on them? Thanks
This is just another amazing project you have completed! I enjoy your content. I like when your baits are super realistic. You could have a side play list of you recreating real life like fish into baits.
That was cool lure
Jaw dropping episode!!
You can cut up old silicone molds to make chunks to fill space in the box
Making fictional art is no easy task, that piece is SWEET, nice work boss…can’t wait for the next.
Jaw dropping action!
Some days your work is epic. This is one of those days.
Always the best bait ideas
Holy moly that looks so rad
Great lure! "On to the next bait!"

Man this lure looks so tough! That is way way cool dude.
Can you make a video show casing how to install barrel swivels as hook hangers? I am a member of your "fish with your masterpiece"
Beauty bait Nate
My favorite fish to catch
