I love these apartment tour videos! They are so well done. Have you ever thought about filming the surrounding area, e.g. grocery stores, restaurants nearby, walk to transit, etc. (kinda how Cash Jordan does it in NYC)?
I thought about that but I feel like a 20 minute video would just be way too long!! But maybe I’ll try it.

We are living on West Devon Avenue in Chicago Illinois paying $750 for 1 bedroom . It's nothing close to luxury but everything is available down stairs like salons Asian grocery boutique worship areas parks school and downtown is little bit ride which we go once in a while to see all the buildings

Facts.
how tf you supposed to own anything when a $100,000 house 15 years ago is now being sold at $200,000 ?(hypothetical numbers but probably close) the only people who can own are the ones who did before covid/one’s able to save money living rent free with parents.
Is it set for 4K? Well I bet down payment is way too high for most people which leaves them with one option left

I've been addicted to these apartment videos. I have a home I love with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a pool, huge deck, basement, etc. I'm only a little over an hour from Chicago and only 40 min from Milwaukee. The lake is even a short drive away but, part of me thinks how cool it would be to live in one of these apartments in the middle of the city. For now, I guess I'll stick to taking the train down for a day now and then, but maybe someday? Are there any retirement buildings? lol. I wouldn't be up for Chicago nightlife--unless it happens before 8pm. Yeah. I'm old.

I still kick myself for not chosing this apartment when I first toured it last summer. It is really an incredible building with amenities in the city are suitable for the price. Plus location is great! literally steps from the Chicago Brown Line and near interior design firms + showrooms - also I love how this tour was filmed! Loved the cinematic color grade and b-roll! Great job 🎉

Amli buildings are the best! I live in the River North Amli and it’s just as beautiful. I may need to make the switch though because that gym is STUNNING 🤩

No weight limit!! There are breed restrictions and you are only able to have two pets, so you would be fine!

My apartment is just nearby and I am always curious what this apartment looks like cuz the outside looks nice. The only thing I complain live on chicago Avenue is the night the sirens needs time to adjust
True! It’s hard to find anywhere downtown where you won’t get some noise, but the building is double paned windows so it blocks a lot of sound!

Hi I am very curious to know why in Chicago you guys advertise the net rent (after concession) as being within the budget when it’s a one time applicable discount that can be used up front or spread out on the prospects terms. I’m a leasing consultant on the west coast and am moving to Chicago but one thing we were told to do was never advertise the concession as the rent price especially since it’s subject to change and is not the actual price. I believe it could be confusing to those who don’t know that the net will end and when they renew it will be 100s of dollars more and that’s not including a rent increase if the building adds one. Also if your income qualifies you for a certain amount and you advertise the net as although being in their budget they won’t qualify for the apartment. I’ve come across this a lot and genuinely want to know if this is common and why they do that in Chicago ? I’m considering continuing my leasing career there and I feel like this would be such an important thing to tell people.
Notice how she's first giving the market rate and then telling the net effective rate after. It would be pretty misleading to not mention the concessions as sometimes buildings leave their market rates high (so their books look better) but remain price competitive with the market by offering concessions. As a renter, I certainly am interested in hearing both numbers.
It is also incredibly common for people to move after one year. I always fully explain the situation to my clients but typically people are interested in getting the nicer place with the concession, knowing they renewal will be based off of market after their lease is up.

One of the reasons why I didn’t move back to the city. I signed another year lease in my current apartment out in the western suburbs. Beautiful apartments with great views but nope! I pass!
@@alism9162 I grew up in the western suburbs. But it's alarming that even Oakbrook Mall feels unsafe now after several incidents. Sad how times have changed.
And what do you suggest that we do??? Some of us have never lived in the suburbs. We are city people, so we live where we love to live. If you take precautions, you should be fine, but yes, the crime is out of control. Hoping that the next mayor does a better job of it.
