This is a great video. No clue how the algorithm recommended this to me, but I watched it and enjoyed it. As a Chicago native tho (I did leave but come back regularly, only in the summer), I have some additional context for anyone considering moving to Chicago. This is in no way meant to take from the purpose of the creator's video or change her opinion of the city, I'm just providing additional context for anyone scrolling the the comments. Chicago is cheaper than other big cities like LA or NYC, but if you're coming from a regular city, Chicago is probably going to be more expensive. Yes, houses are cheaper than a lot of cities, but property taxes are pretty outrageous and the houses are old. One of my houses in Vegas cost about $350k with annual property taxes around $1,100. Same size house in Chicago I can get for probably $160-225k (depending where at in the city), but property taxes would probably be closer to $3k+/yr (depending on where at in the city) with consistent 3%+ increases every year and the house would probably be close to 100yrs old or older. If you own rentals, it's also not a very landlord friendly city. Unless you're coming from NYC or LA, rent will likely be higher too. From outsiders looking in, you gotta understand (not even including the many villages & suburbs).. there are 4 different Chicagos lol: The Black Part The White Part The Mexican Part Chinatown And you can say downtown is the middle. Chicago is historically (by design) a very segregated place, and depending on what part you live in, your experience of Chicago can be vastly different. This doesn't mean you can't go to the Mexican Part if you're a white person or you can't go to the White Part if you're a black person. I'm simply saying that LIVIING in a particular part can potentially yield a different experience and opinion of Chicago than presented in this video. With that said, if you are considering moving to Chicago, you should probably visit first and move to a neighborhood you think is sufficient for you. Also, there are good and bad neighborhoods in each "part", but if you don't make enough money for the good parts, you should probably look into getting a concealed carry permit because you're gonna be priced out of not having to deal with regularly occurring Chicago shenanigans. You'll most likely be fine if you know how to move accordingly, but you should at least learn some basic de-escalation tactics or learn how to box or something. It's tons to do and experience in Chicago, yes, but this video seems to focus on those aspects which are more touristy; and I understand that this is her actual experience living in Chicago, but your actual experience may differ... Lastly, the creator said she hails from Cali and Arizona, so she loves the winter. Imo, It's new for her, or she's discovered that she's one of those people who love the cold. As a Native who left for Vegas, and bounced around the world while in the Air Force, who also lived in Arizona... Chicago winters are absolutely hell. Ain't no way I'm trading a Southern California, Arizona, or Vegas winter for one of Chicago's. If I want snow, I'll go to Tahoe for a weekend.. point is, do not let this video make you think that the winters are worth it. If you aren't one of those people who love the cold, you're probably gonna hate Chicago in the winter, especially if you're coming from a place that does not get as cold as Chicago. With all that said, idk if it's nostalgia or it's by blood or birthplace bias, but I never feel the same love for any other city I've been to like I do for Chicago.. Best city in the whole wide world!!... never moving back tho lol
Thank you so much for this comment!! Considering moving to Chicago from New Orleans & this comment was super helpful because I need all of the nitty-gritty details to aid my decision!! Thank you
Great points! I live in Chicago, originally from AZ and I hate it here and plan to move away as soon as I’m finished grad school. Hate the 6 mo of winter, horrible vegan food scene for a big city (but it’s the Midwest so understandable I guess), and I live in South Chicago where theft, screaming at people in the streets and physical altercations are the popular pastimes.
I was born in Chicago but moved away to Seattle when I was 8. After living in Seattle for a few years we relocated to Orlando FL, after I graduated I moved to Atlanta Ga for college. Fast forward to 2022 I was able to move back home to Chicago for the first time since I was a kid. I must say I don’t plan on living anywhere else it just hits different when you’re experiencing living in your hometown as an adult for the first time.. love my city and your content! ❤️ Side note: Chicago is definitely more affordable than Atlanta surprisingly. I was paying $1500 for a studio in Midtown vs $1100 here for a one bedroom in a really nice and safe area near the CTA can’t beat it!
im a teenager who lives in illinois about an hour away from the city. i have always wanted to live in the city and this video just made me wanna live there even more!!!
There is no place quite like Chicago in the summer. All the free fests and activities just create this three month happiness vibe. I also have never heard of a food from somewhere in the world that sparked my interest that I couldn't find and try in Chicago.
The lake/Skyline/lack of industry on the waterfront! Recently moved to Dublin (Ireland) and while there is access to the water, there is still a ton of industry and honestly makes it a bit of an eyesore. I didn't realize how lucky we were in Chicago to have unobstructed water access and gorgeous views of the lake/parks/architecture! It's underrated!
I agree. I grew up on the east coast and ironically, cities like Philly, Baltimore, NYC, all of which have bodies of water bordering them, do not have ANY desireable looking swimming or recreational areas along the water front..... Chicago is the first city I've ever lived where it borders a huge body of water that is that is this beautiful.... AND you can actually swim in. Just this morning, I went jogging along the lakefront trail and kept thinking to myself "I actually live here."
I lived in Chicago for nine years and relocated to Phoenix for work two years ago. I miss it SO much, and will take the winter over 110+ degree weather ANY DAY. Trying to get back--you don't realize how special it is until you leave.
Just got back from my first trip to Chicago, and I know exactly what you mean about being inspired by the architecture of the buildings! It’s like looking at mountains from afar and just admiring them. Cannot wait to visit again!
My daughter moved to Chicago and has done very well for herself. (she doesn't own a car, either) When I went to visit her for the first time, I was bowled over by the sheer size of they city, but what impressed me even more were THE PEOPLE. I found them to be super nice, down-to-earth, and generous.
I’m from Chicago then moved to San Diego now Dallas! I’ve been thinking about Ny next but the apt are so small for the price. I really think Chicago is the best except winter.❤❤
This video is so so great! I am from Oregon, went to college in Wisconsin which shocked my system but slowly I learned to love it. By the end I was desperately craving the heat and thought i'd never want to see snow again, so I moved to scottsdale. Moving there in May, I quickly questioned my decision. The heat is never ending. And it's not just warm, it's hot at hell. Like living in an oven all the time. Plus the year just drags on since there's no variation in seasons. I didn't realize how much I love the seasons haha. I am now longing for the midwest again as it's seriously such a beautiful place. The people are SO friendly and the seasons are arguably underrated. How can we appreciate summer, spring, and fall without a treacherous winter. There's something very quiet and peaceful about the long winters. Thank you for this video!
You are young - you can go wherever you want. For me, having seasons is huge. I'm not young but I agree with much of what you say. As an ageing Midwesterner, I am sick of the cold and snow. But, our winters are getting milder and, being older, I have the money to get away. A week in Portugal can really break up the winter. The lower cost of living and an extremely well connected international airport means I can zip off to somewhere warm very easily. And, when younger, there was something about braving the cold and snow to meet friends out. It was a badge of honor.
I know how you feel about the architecture - it really is inspiring! My favorite thing about Chicago is that each of the neighborhoods is so unique and distinct.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’ve been to Chicago before. I went to my basic training for the Navy in Great Lakes and that’s around the timeframe when I fell in love with the city of Chicago. I’m a born and raised southerner, currently residing in Dallas, TX and I keep wondering how it would be to live in a city like Chicago. Dallas is a beautiful city but I’m kinda realizing that it’s not a final destination for me and my fiancé and considering that he has family in Chicago I wouldn’t mind giving the city a go. Thank you for sharing this, you provided such great insight into living there ❤️
From Thailand, I truly agree with all your 10 reasons. My top 3 are 1. Fall Season, 2. The Lake and 3. The Public Transportation. I had been in Chicago for 5 years and still in love with Chicago every time I see something like this.
@@CairaButton So glad you are enjoying Chicago! And LOVE your take on Winter hibernation....what an excellent frame. I hoped you would have listed Midwesterners as one of the Top Reasons... ;D
I love Chicago so much I fell in love with the city the first time I went with my grandparents in 2021 now im going for the 3 time this summer with my dad. I love your videos so much it helps me understand Chicago even more. I find your apartment videos so relaxing and calming they do really help me. I am thinking of being a real estate in Chicago when I graduate high school as well. I fell in love with the city so fast my grandma would say I’m a city girl at heart. Anyways I love your videos and thank you sooo much.
I've been around the country and choose to live in Chicago. I live within walking distance of Navy Pier, the lakefront and two beaches, the Riverwalk, Millennium Park, the Art Institute, The Museum of Contemporary Art, and Michigan Ave. It's great and we take advantage of these amenities and lots of excellent restaurants.
😊 I visited Chicago in May 3, 2018 to May 7, 2018. Since I lived in New York for almost 😅 52 years which from March 28, 1973 and known New York, I feel like 👍🏼 I want to move to Chicago and live there or live in LA
I agree about the seasons! I was just saying how I hate living in Nevada because I miss winter (among other reasons). It feels like Groundhog Day here because every day feels the same. Summer is my favorite season and I still don't want it every single day forever.
“Spring gives me trust issues” 😂🤣 There is no better place for me to spend winter than Chicago. I agree, if you haven’t lived there it’s hard to explain. Loved this video Caira! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chicago summers are the BEST. Everyone comes out of hibernation from Winter and False Spring and there is definitely an energy / mood. Everyone is excited to be out doing stuff. The food in Chicago is lowkey probably some of the best in the country. Slept on for sure.
@maliyafatima don’t move there. I unfortunately made the big mistake of living there for over 2 years and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. People are really rude, traffic is one of the worst in the country. Taxes are horrific for what it should be in a mid west city. Then the winter is terrible cold for 7 months out of the year. Snowdrifts blocking your car in, salt all over your pants every day. Then now wildfires every “summer” smoke 💨 everywhere. My wife goes there for meetings some times and complained about how bad the smoke is and brings on her asthma. But everyone living there pretends it’s not there. 😂
@@rubenc.5648 Calling Chicago a mini NYC will get you in trouble. For almost a hundred years Chicago was called 2nd city..which many people did not like, but did embrace ..They both are different cities ,but both share a common theme which is 20 th century urban...Check out any film of the 20, 30, 40's & 50's about NYC & they are always talking about going to Chicago esp by train. Their was a synergy between the two cities like no other.. '.The city with broad shoulders" " The bread basket of America"..
Hiiii! I’m 17 living in Israel with a big dream of living somewhere in USA and Chicago really stuck out to me, I still have 3 more years til I can move but I’d love to hear how it’s going for you???
Great video. I also hate springtime in Chicago: too wet and windy, snow one day and warm the next, then back to snow. I live in Gold Coast next to North Av. Beach.
Such a good list. One thing I'm surprised was missed, #1 and #3 are a big part of why I love living in Chicago, but they are directly related. Chicago has *two* airports that *both* have public transit running right to them. There is no getting picked up at the airport, or dealing with cabs or ubers. Blue line to O'Hare, Orange to Midway, just makes that travel situation even easier. If you have to hop around the US a lot for any reason, or even travel internationally often, Chicago is just the best.
Not really because the sky is filled with Canada wildfires every summer these days. The winters last 7 months and are grey cloudy and miserably cold and frozen. People are very rude. Traffic is the worst I have experienced after Los Angeles traffic.
Agree with your 10 but would also add Broadway! I live in the Loop in the heart of the theatre district and so many amazing shows come here before they go to NYC. This is the best city I've ever lived in (in the US) and can't imagine being anywhere else.
We go to Chicago every July for a week (Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday) and we love it. I want to move near there so I can go to a lot of the events that happen. We have gone in May, July and October. Our normal time to go is in July. I can tell you that a week is never long enough. SOOOOO Much fun.
I'm super hyped for the winter actually. I know people worry about it, but in north Carolina I feel like I haven't seen real winter in forever. I am excited to move there later in the year, still looking at where, but somewhere in the core.
I was born in Honduras , but i do look like im from the USA because i grew up there since i was a child. Since i was 5 or 4 years of age.I went to school, i have diplomas and i need a career to get a four year college degree in the US Navy. In Chicago im moving by myself.
My daughter went from NYC to a College in Chicago , she still has 3 years to go, you missed that people move there temporarily or perhaps forever base on those amazing Universities, specifically North Western or The Art Institute. One last thing how is the job market there? ☺️
Hi Caira good morning happy Friday morning and happy early memorial day weekend and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I live in Santa Cruz, Ca. and go to Chicago regularly. I love the music scene, the museums, the friendly people, the awesome food, the neighborhood culture, and so much more. I have become more concerned about safety when visiting because of gun violence and other crime. Thanks for sharing.
I literally want to live in Chicago sooo bad I went for my summer vacation last week I absolutely love it the weather it’s so fresh and cool you can walk everywhere, the food amazing , the architecture is stunning a dream 😍🫶🏻❤️
I couldn't live in Chicago, but I love visiting. If you haven't yet, get a Lou Malnati's pizza, and compare it to Giordano's. I'm a Lou fan. Also, if you're ever in Chatham or Navy Pier, stop in at Brown Sugar Bakery. My wife got me a caramel cake from there for my birthday in 2021 and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!
I am a 33 year old teacher from Germany and would like to move to Chicago because of Astrocartography and because I'd like to switch my career to interior design and architecture. Chicago also always amazed me because I am also a big fan of the basketball culture, there is something so fresh and cool about all of it.. People here in Germany are so cold, arrogant and ignorant, I never felt included here. I also have no family so I am quite flexible and free.. BUT people tell me that the crime rate is very high there (Chiraq they say, lmao) and the health care system would destroy me financially and that I would end up on the streets.
Granted this was 2 years ago in 2021, but the last few weeks I lived in the city (Uptown across Lake Shore Drive from Montrose Harbor), a woman had been wandering around for a few weeks stabbing random people in broad daylight. Crime really picked up in the Covid era. Consider moving to a suburb… it’s still very easy to commute in & out of the city
I think you should definitely give the city a go! Lived there for a couple of years and absolutely loved it. Miss it so much sometimes :( culturally vibrant, musically inclined, sports crazy, great food and warm people! Yes, there is crime but it's mostly confined to the south side, never came across any untoward incident during my stay there. All the best! Naren
I was raised in a Chicago suburb founded by German families. They were poster families for typical Americans - so don't worry. Their sons proudly wore the USA uniforms in World Wars. "Cold and arrogant" ---- not these good Americans. I became a Lutheran because of the teaching of great churches nearby.
I live near Lincoln Park and I totally agree. You can also get a Ventra monthly pass unlimited $75 per month. We ditched our car over 5 years ago. Total waste and dont need it to get around. Great point on the cost. I am a former New Yorker who lived in midtown Manhattan. This place is a bargain for a city of its size. When people complain about paying $3000 a month or more for a two bedroom I tell them that would not get you a decent studio apartment in a decent neighborhood in Manhattan!
Great video! I've lived here all my life. I know you said Top 10 but we also have a world class orchestra, opera, art scene, museums and hospitals/medical care :) Glad you love our beautiful city! Welcome!!!
Great list! I lived for 40 years down in the Gold Coast and I loved it (I'm currently off in West Ridge, which is kind of sad). One note ... you REALLY need to get on board with The Bears. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is as Chicago as Bears fandom. The city bleeds blue and orange ... go to a game (but not in the dead of winter - that's hard duty).
I just moved from Chicago to Denver and I miss home so much. I moved because I wanted a change of scenery but I want to go back one day. People talk about the violence this and that when there’s violence everywhere in the world. Chicago is genuinely a good place to live and raise a family and to retire etc. all 10 things she stated were facts Update: I moved back home to Chicago 💀
I moved from Chicago to Honolulu a couple of years ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my adult life. I will never move back to that city again. And while it is true that there is violence everywhere, but the violent crime rates in Honolulu is still much, much lower than in Chicago or the national average. Good luck to you.
@@T.S.000 Violent crime rate in Honolulu is low because it's Hawaii. Half the population is high on weed half the time. Honolulu also has a very very serious homelessness and drug problem. Hawaii is not all that great unless you have a ton of money. Half the locals are all on welfare. It's a sad place.
@@knucklehoagies : In your opinion, Hawaii/Honolulu may not be that great, but I’ll take it over Chicago. I don’t have a ton of money, but I have enough to be comfortable living here.
@@T.S.000 I'm glad that you are enjoying hawaii. Good for you though. I grew up in a dying little rust belt town on the east coast so to me Chicago feels like paradise. It's all a matter of perspective I guess.
I love Chicago. I am from East Tennessee and my heart is in Chicago. you literally named every reason why i love it there. your video was 100% accurate having just visited in the summer and then at christmas, you named everything on my top 10 list of why i will eventually live there myself. Thank u for the video
I moved here years ago because i got tired of my whole paycheck going to transportation...My car would always break down. In Chicago you really don't need a car like in other major cities.
I was born in Chicago. Need to come home. I don’t mind where I live, but it’s definitely not an inspiring place to be like Chicago. If I ever change jobs, I am moving there immediately.
I will have an Industrial Engineering degree in 2 years and I am a DUI guy, I need 18 month program, but can't afford the classes as a student. So, I will move to chicago after Uni. I want food from uptown, I heard Vietnammese food is fire.
#1 reason...my son ❤ Loved this video. I live in S Jersey near the beach and I always tell everyone how the lake reminds me of home. I was just out there visiting my son and we went to the Fire match followed by a White Sox game a few days later. Love visiting the city. My son will be bartending at one of the beach bars this summer.
Hate the cold winters and hot, humid summers. Who hates spring? You lost me! Fall is my favorite too but spring is second. I’ m from Chicago but live in the Bay Area.
Do you have any advice? I want to move to Chicago, but I cannot find time to find a job coming from Arkansas. A job would determine my relocation area.
Hey Im researching on buying rental income properties in chicago, im from cali and i just love the buildings in chicago but ppl tell me chicago has no jobs and its full of crime and all the negative stuff which i refuse to believe its any worse than Los Angeles. I was hoping to talk to a real estate agent that is familiar with the city and renovating old apt buildings.
You forgot to add: - CTA smells wonderful and people never harrass you there - Almost no crime and how wonderful people that don't live in the city treat the city - Very affordable prices that have not increased at all from rent to food to other necessities such as gas, electricity, etc - The great decline of homeless people - and more :)
She forgot to mention that there’s crazy ass people here, you walk to the beach beautiful walk until some crazy ass person starts yelling and cussing outta no where and you get uncomfortable
what's your take on the crime? someone literally told me stepping foot in Chicago guarantees I'll be shot lmao... I know there's bad areas... but no way It's bad EVERYWHERE
Yeah those people just watch the news and act like they know everything about the city without even setting foot. Most the city is safe. Just stay away from certain areas on the south side and you will be fine
@@vaishx Exactly. I just moved to Chicago recently and I'm still looking for the "crime ridden hellhole" everyone talks about. So far I've experienced nothing but a vibrant city. And no I don't just stick to the touristy areas.
I'm thinking about moving to Chicago. The only problem is that I don't have a lot of money. This means I'll probably have to rent in a pretty crappy area, and I don't want to get shot. 😒
I grew up in Chicago and moved away and I honestly miss Chicago and would love to move back but it is no longer the Chicago that I grew up in. It have be come a Liberal Cesspool just like all of the rest of the major us cities...LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Bostom and NY The last mayors that Chicago had were CLOWNS and best or at least the current is and the previous was lets face it Beatlejuice! What happened to my beloved Chicago?
Hi Caira. I've been watching your videos recently and you do a good job. I'm originally from Michigan, but have also been torn between a potential move to Germany, which I am fluent in German and have opportunities there, and I like it there. However, I also may soon end up in Chicago with some job offers. I like the city a lot and love the lake, of course. I am also a musician. I have already been there a few times in past years, and would love to try to find a good place, if that ends up being the case. We will see!
I'm from Chicago and I'm seriously thinking about living in my current city for 6 months/6 months in Chicago. I shared my thoughts with my family, and they are soooo excited about it. Coming home gives me a sense of peace, not to mention being able to take my laptop to the lakefront and work!... 🤩🧡... Luv your content!
And while you're experiencing all this great stuff make sure you watch your back or you may be enjoying the rest of your stay in Chicago from one of its many wonderful hospitals.

I loved there in 2016 when the cubs won, it was epic!!! Looking at your videos because I miss Chicago sooo much!!!
That’s so cool! I know it must’ve been wild!
I know how you feel about the architecture - it really is inspiring! My favorite thing about Chicago is that each of the neighborhoods is so unique and distinct.
This video came at a perfect time because I’m moving to Chicago soon. You really have a talent for making these videos because I am STOKED
WAHOO WELCOME TO CHICAGO!
Thank you for sharing this, you provided such great insight into living there ❤️
That’s awesome!!
From Thailand, I truly agree with all your 10 reasons. My top 3 are 1. Fall Season, 2. The Lake and 3. The Public Transportation. I had been in Chicago for 5 years and still in love with Chicago every time I see something like this.
That’s exactly how I feel too❤️
@@CairaButton So glad you are enjoying Chicago!
Awww love this so much! So much fun experiencing the city with people you love.
What an enthusiastic video! Makes me excited!!
Chicago summers are the BEST. Everyone comes out of hibernation from Winter and False Spring and there is definitely an energy / mood. Everyone is excited to be out doing stuff. The food in Chicago is lowkey probably some of the best in the country. Slept on for sure.
Moving to Chicago this summer from NYC so I really appreciate your vids and your perspectives! Looking forward to more. ❤❤
You will like it. Chicago is a mini NYC. However you don’t pay NYC prices 💰
Planning on visiting Chicago in the summer for my BDAY. Anyone's who's visited has told me the summer is the best time to visit.. Cant wait!
Not really because the sky is filled with Canada wildfires every summer these days. The winters last 7 months and are grey cloudy and miserably cold and frozen. People are very rude. Traffic is the worst I have experienced after Los Angeles traffic.
@@jasonbrodierqevermy1998 Dude stop lying
@@jasonbrodierqevermy1998 Chicago winters are not seven months. Heating is needed from some of October through some of April.
Chicago is the best!!!
Im from Mexico and Im thinking to move to Chicago after I finish university
Its so beautiful and balanced
The winters are brutal! She sounds cray! Summer can be hot and humid but also can be nice.
Museums. Theater. Comedy Improv. My top 3.
That lake❤❤❤ fell in love with it immediately
My daughter went from NYC to a College in Chicago , she still has 3 years to go, you missed that people move there temporarily or perhaps forever base on those amazing Universities, specifically North Western or The Art Institute. One last thing how is the job market there? ☺️
When you live in a 5k a month apartment its easy to find reasons to live anywhere lmao
Facts
Doubt it’s 5k
Rent is actually decent if you have a decent job.
show me where u can just get a decent job just like that?@@Estephan2013
Bro many place out there like $1500 or so! For 3 bed 2 bath. Food and going out is cheap to.
Back in like 2012 Oak street beach had real palm 🌴 trees it was so beautiful. The owner of the restaurant would order them every year from Florida.
That’s WILD!
Just found your channel,
and video.
Enjoyed your list;
and it motivates me
to really want to
visit.
I agree with you about all of that. Chicago rocks
It really does 🤘🏽
Good job, from a Chicago native 💯
I literally want to live in Chicago sooo bad I went for my summer vacation last week I absolutely love it the weather it’s so fresh and cool you can walk everywhere, the food amazing , the architecture is stunning a dream 😍🫶🏻❤️
My grandfather just got murdered outside of the loop I personally can’t wait to leave this city it’s full of violence, good luck
@rupertred7434 as a person who was born in Chicago, it has rapidly declined. I can't leave fast enough.
@@rupertred7434 my aunt’s husband he got murdered over $5 in his pocket in a parking garage in downtown Chicago. I feel for you. sorry to hear bro.
Thanks for the perspective. Im sold
Honorable mention should be the Museums. It's so many to choose from!
Yes definitely!!
i dig ya energy, very upbeat and entergetic
Thank you!!
I’m a lou fan as well!!!
I worked at navy pier and always got something from Brown Sugar Bakery. I love the red velvet cupcakes.
It's safer than DC. The media demonized Chicago, but it really is the best city. So many cultures, so much variety
Really cold people in Germany 😮😮😮? 😢
Yes yes yes to all of this!!
Great video! I've lived here all my life. I know you said Top 10 but we also have a world class orchestra, opera, art scene, museums and hospitals/medical care :) Glad you love our beautiful city! Welcome!!!
Great video!
Im moving to Chicago with my sister and im so excited
I’m a buffalo bills fan and wanted to go to the bears bills game last year but it was Christmas Eve and I was out of town 😭
I just moved from Chicago to Denver and I miss home so much. I moved because I wanted a change of scenery but I want to go back one day. People talk about the violence this and that when there’s violence everywhere in the world. Chicago is genuinely a good place to live and raise a family and to retire etc. all 10 things she stated were facts
Update: I moved back home to Chicago 💀
You’re wrong, Chicago is an extremely violent place. The new mayor they elected / selected is going to ruin the city further
I do not have a GED or a diploma, but im thinking of the best sucess in Chicago, to the Navy
I moved here years ago because i got tired of my whole paycheck going to transportation...My car would always break down. In Chicago you really don't need a car like in other major cities.
Love Chicago ❤ Studio and one bedroom apartment prices? Thanks so much! Healthcare?
2200 a month smh
I Love Chicago in Spring, Summers & Fall, White Christmas Holidays
Love Chicago ! Live from 1995
LOVE Chicago!!! Hope to live there some day
I was born in Chicago. Need to come home. I don’t mind where I live, but it’s definitely not an inspiring place to be like Chicago. If I ever change jobs, I am moving there immediately.
Let me know!! I’ll be here to help!
Ciao sai dire qualcosa sulla scena culturale della città? Biblioteche, librerie, teatri, cinema, ecc.
I'm intrigued! Exploring the opportunities over time for a possible relocation next year.
It’s beside the point but she is such a positive person
Do you have any advice? I want to move to Chicago, but I cannot find time to find a job coming from Arkansas. A job would determine my relocation area.
Do you know anything about living in Chicago as someone from the UK ? It literally ticks all of my boxes
Because you know someone who plays for the white Sox, by default you are officially a Sox fan 🙌🏽 welcome to the Southsider’s Club 😎
The sun shines in Chicago 😮
Lake Michigan is literally an ocean... :)
The English language really needs a distinct word for "freshwater inland sea".
Worlds greatest city
Hey Im researching on buying rental income properties in chicago, im from cali and i just love the buildings in chicago but ppl tell me chicago has no jobs and its full of crime and all the negative stuff which i refuse to believe its any worse than Los Angeles. I was hoping to talk to a real estate agent that is familiar with the city and renovating old apt buildings.
Lake Michigan is stunning!
6:42 aye i can see my apt !
Caira...My fav. is Navy pier, love it there!
Pretty cool City! Whats the rent like sis, is the rent ok?
✨WE LOVE CHICAGO!!!✨ Amazing city!!! 🏙️ Been here since 2017 and was a several times per year visitor prior to that!!! 🤩
Best city ever!!!
What about the weather?
I have a whole separate video on the weather!
I love the city! wish i could afford it though
You forgot to add:
- CTA smells wonderful and people never harrass you there
- Almost no crime and how wonderful people that don't live in the city treat the city
- Very affordable prices that have not increased at all from rent to food to other necessities such as gas, electricity, etc
- The great decline of homeless people
- and more :)
Was that sarcasm? 😂
@@vancouvercanucks215 🤷♂
This is sarcasm I’m assuming??
It's complete propaganda. Chicago is an affordable world class city. Just stay away from the bad areas, like every city.
You Been to Portillo's Hot Dogs & Italian Beefs?
I'm thinking about moving to Chicago. The only problem is that I don't have a lot of money. This means I'll probably have to rent in a pretty crappy area, and I don't want to get shot. 😒
What about the Arts?
I would love to move to Chicago but I don’t know if I can find a decent job and afford the living in the city.
I grew up in Chicago and moved away and I honestly miss Chicago and would love to move back but it is no longer the Chicago that I grew up in. It have be come a Liberal Cesspool just like all of the rest of the major us cities...LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Bostom and NY
The last mayors that Chicago had were CLOWNS and best or at least the current is and the previous was lets face it Beatlejuice!
What happened to my beloved Chicago?
As a miserable fan of the White Sox I am now wondering who you went to high school with that plays on the team
Thank you for calling it the sears tower and not the willis tower
I would never!
I want to move to Chicago. I’d sell my car and move there. I’m from NY so I’ll be fine with the metro
Great video-but you trppin' about that weather.
Chicago is known for it world class museums.
Some of the best!!
And while you're experiencing all this great stuff make sure you watch your back or you may be enjoying the rest of your stay in Chicago from one of its many wonderful hospitals.
Just don't move to a few neighborhoods and you're set
