Hey Caira! Really nice to see all these videos from you! It brings some sort of knowledge of how the market is. We would be moving to CHI 6 months from now - but did not yet contact you, will do it soon :) I just have one question - furnished apartments are not an option in Chicago? Thanks :*

Last one in River West--good transit hub. Next would be the first one in Lakeshore East only because of lake proximity--downside is that location is cut off from the rest of the city.

Apt 4 was amazing. #5 was not worth the price. I notice a lot of Chicago apartments have the old washer/ dryer combos even in newer bldgs...why? 🤔

#1 is my favorite!! My dream apartment when I graduate! It has the best view, and I like the carpet in the room and the tub/shower combo idk why people don’t but I do lol that one to me was the best! And the price was good

Such a good price! And I am definitely not as insulted by a shower tub combo as some people!

Just for your information-If an apartment is labeled ADA for a person with a disability, it should have a walk in shower. Not a bathtub you that you’d have to climb over to get into. Then to get out of the tub you’d have to find a way to pull yourself up in a slippery and unsafe environment. and doing everything in reverse to get out. Speaking myself as a person with MS who would require an ADA unit, dealing with a bathtub is just not possible. A shower chair in a walk-in shower is what’s necessary. I’m new to your channel and appreciate your non pretentious and positive personality. I’m a California girl but Chicago looks great.

Thank you for saying this!! Iy is something that actually confuses me SO much in Chicago because half of our ADA units include bathtubs, and half are walk in showers. It doesn't seem to make any sense to me, but I agree, a bathtub would be extremely difficult for certain people and yet the buildings still call then ADA!

Not to be snide-But welcome to the world of people with disabilities. My husband & I have often said before labeling any kind of unit to be ADA, we wish that builders would be required or would think to have a real live person with a disability do a walk through of their buildings, apartments, hotel rooms etc.. Btw, if you’d ever like info on the subject ( including a great travel company for people with disabilities that we’ve used to go abroad) just shoot me a text. Good luck -love your energy!

As much as I love the South Loop and soon will be looking for a place this year in that area, I love Apt 4. I have a cat who lovessss her zoomies so that long hallway would be a godsend for her

I'm just curious why you make it seem like having a tub is a negative. Do people not enjoy taking bubble baths anymore? I currently don't live in the US, and bath tubs aren't common in apartments where I reside. It's one of the things I miss most about US homes. I'd kill to soak in the bath with a glass of wine and a movie.

So many people don’t want tubs anymore!! It’s been an interesting shift.

How is it 2500? Chicago is supposed to be more expensive then other places, normally it’s 3000 plus
