I do call nonsense on the fact you removed the "For This List..." gag. It makes no sense why you removed it

How about the top 20 movies that have no survivors
Great idea very apocalyptic.
The thing 1 and 2.
And cabin in the woods are a start.
And Jacobs ladder.
And I could go on but go watch those if you haven't
Knowing of Nick Cage. Technically, everyone on earth die.
70s invasion of the body snatchers
😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
You missed the biggest twist in Get Out?!
“Where are the keys Rose?!”
Yes that is the BIGGEST twist in Get Out. Rose is the recruiter this whole time, also another twist is the sunken hole where the real souls are but repressed by the shoplifters of their bodies. This movie is THE master of plot twists.
How could they have forgotten that?!
i called every single one of these twist. I may not have gotten them all the first viewing, or the second time, but by the third time watching each movie, I had them all down.
Not gonna lie, had me in the first half. Lol. I was soooo gonna give you some when I started reading. Cheers.
The bigger plot twist of "The Mist" is that they were driving away from help the entire time. And on another note the psycho lady in the grocery store was possibly right that it was all a curse that would be lifted once the boy was sacrificed. Since after he kills his son is when the mist leaves and help arrives.
Utter nonsense on that last part
Meet The Robinsons has 3 maybe 4 . I saw one coming but the other 2 wow I just did not see them coming . Very overlooked movie
The Mist and Buried still makes me mad til this day lol
Yeah Buried is always hard to watch for me
I can’t watch buried . No thanks
The final Gone Baby Gone “twist” of Amanda being neglected all over again despite the mom saying she would change hurt so badly
I never forgave Casey Affleck’s character for that one. “But they’re not her faaaaamily” no shit man her family was awful.
@@MistyWarden exactly!! I was screaming at my TV cause nobody changes that quickly and he had no proof that things were actually going to work out better for her back home
I think Glass Onion deserved a spot on this list. I can name three plot twists from the movie right off the bat:
1. Miles poisoned Duke and made everyone believe that he was the initial target.
2. Cassandra Brand was impersonating her twin sister and was secretly working with Blanc to find her killer.
3. Miles Bron was a fraud the whole time.
I was amazed by those twists, too.
Yes glass onion was good and full of plot twists
I used to work at a video store where the Shutter Island trailer played three times an hour, so I figured out the twist from the trailer!
3 times an hour. Must not have had the spelling of the movie title in the trailer. *Shutter Island.
@@OttoByOgraffey Thank you for catching the autocorrect typo that I missed.
blockbuster ?
@@loladiaz3534 Indeed!
I'm so glad I finally got to watch the Wicker Man last night. It was so good. The twist was carefully planned, well crafted and immaculate. Christopher Lee as Lord summerisle was an impeccable performance. It's too bad they don't make movies like this anymore
Left out:
1) Eddie and the Cruisers. In this 1983 story, we find out about how a band hit the big time, and then, just as the second album is finished, the lead singer/band lead (Eddie) mysteriously vanishes. The tapes from the studio sessions also vanish, the day after Eddie disappeared. Reporter Maggie Foley (Ellen Barkin) investigates and finds that the band has other secrets. When Eddie's girlfriend reveals that she hid the tapes twenty years earlier, we also find the identity of who has been stalking and harassing former band members.
2) Casablanca. Rick owns the most popular nightclub in Casablanca, on the northwest African coast in January 1942, just after Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. We think Rick is a bitter patriot with a heart of gold, but then his ex-girlfriend (and her husband) come to town. Ilsa's husband is the leader of the anti nazi party movement in Europe and needs to escape to the US and only Rick has the means to get him out of Casablanca. Rick briefly rekindles his love affair and he briefly double crosses his best friend to make sure that Ilsa and Victor get out of Casablanca, but Rick also has to kill the lead German, to make sure that Ilsa and Victor aren't pursued.
What about Glass ? There're 3 plot twists in this one
I love Shutter Island. It’s overly complicated but in terms of repeat viewings? Yeah I love that movie.
A very underrated and unknown film is "The Thirteenth Floor"(1999), at least two major twists that really caught me at the time
I adore plot twists, especially when there's multiple of them. My favourite is from "Vertigo", I definitely didn't see them coming.
What other movies with plot twists do you enjoy? It's always fun to discuss the twists and turns of our favorite films!
@@WatchMojo It's a tough call, but probably Gone Girl, Get Out, Arrival, Fight Club, Psycho or Coco.
Sixth Sense
Secret Window
@@ItzMzJulez2U Sixth Sense, Secret Window, and The Skeleton Key are my 3 favorites.
@@xkirax2997 Those are the two I remember my jaw literally hit the floor at the plot twist! 😳😉
Snatch wasn't a plot twist, it was a revenge killing for killing Mickey's Mom. There is literally two storylines in the movie that converge on one another. I think you guys missed that part....
And it was clear the dog had the diamond…he ate everything. The plot was more so “Daisy” being found by Tommy and Turkish instead of running off with Mickey
Another good one Mojo!
‘Frailty’ was such a good movie.
Plus seeing Robert Redford in this made my day!🥰
Psycho is... the Mother of Triple Twist.
Frailty and Identity are two of my favorites. Amazing job WatchMojo and Rebecca. ❤
You missed the plot twist on Get out when the maid and the groundsman were really the grandparents
The FNAF movie has 2 plot twists (Not surprising for true fans, but is surprising for newcomers). First twist, Vanessa revealing to be the daughter of serial killer, Williams Afton. Second twist, Mike's boss is William Afton. Again, not surprising for true fans, but surprising for newcomers.
I would consider Memento as having multiple plot twists. One being that Leonard killed his wife, and the other being he is stuck in a cycle of investigating and killing the imaginary killer called John G. Than there's also the twist that Leonard lied to himself to make him believe that Teddy killed his wife, just so Leonard could kill him.
Not since the _Star Wars_ Prequel Trilogy did I know Natalie Portman had massive talent when she played Padmé Amidala. _Black Swan_ is on my movie bucket list and see how far Portman’s Nina Sayers fell.
Nick Cage, Matchstick men, plot twist 1. Roy is not sick, 2. The con was really about Roy 3. Frank his partner is the mastermind 4. Angela is not Roy's child, matter of fact, she is not a child at all. 5. The Psychiatrist is part of the con.
I love plot twists
🥈
Plot Twist: you actually hate them
Scream -Two Friends
Scream 2 -Billy’s Mom & Mickey
Scream 3 -Sidney’s Brother
Scream 4 -Sidney’s Cousin & Her Twisted Partner
Scream (2022) -Boyfriend & Crazy Girl
Scream VI -Father, Sister and Brother of the Killer
If I were y'all I would've added Across The Spider-Verse to the list as it has A LOT of twists (and good ones too)
Peter turning down being in the Avengers is not a plot twist. Anyone who knows Peter Parker and who he is knows damn well he would never have accepted it.
just realized Snatch is loosely based on a novel by Jules Verne called The Vanished Diamond or The Southern Star
I figured out "Moon" early in the movie. However, "The Sixth Sense" had me thinking something was wrong, but only realizing what it was at the very end. One of the best multiple plots was "The Maltese Falcon" when the item is shown to be fake, and Miss O'Shaughnessy is revealed to be the killer. 🤔👍👍
I remember when the kid visited the house & then Bruce Willis just goes on inside with him but no one acknowledged him being present.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! 29:43 Yup, "Shutter Island (201)" was an amazing movie to watch..!! 🥶
Predestination better be number one 😂😂😂
Sheez, The Mist movie ends better in the film than the book then. Somehow, this one escaped me. Fantastic film!
The entire second act of Parasite was so unexpected, litterally didn't know how it would end...
The 6th Sense should have been on the list
It doesn't have more than one twist
why oh why
OCEAN'S TRILOGY didn't make the list??? It has the twist like SOOOOOO MANY
I am not a fan of those movies, I don't know why. It has all the right ingredients....buuuut something is off, FOR ME that is
Actually, no one thought "Friday the 13th" was about Jason until after the sequels came out. For viewers with no preconceptions, it unspools as kind of a knockoff of John Carpenter's "Halloween" with an added whodunit element.
I always thought him jumping out of the lake was part of her dream. After all she wakes up in the hospital after that, not dead.
Thanks for meaningful and valuable video as always ❤❤❤
I got a Ryan Reynolds AD at the Ryan Reynolds’s part lol
As an Indian, no industry can beat the amount of plot twists in an ABBAS-MASTAN film.
imagine the plot twists in Fast and Furious films just 20-30 times more than that 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I think Watchmen from 2009 should've been included in the list. Ozymandias's plot was insane. + it had story inside a story with another twist.
Most of these I can watch more than once.... but not The Mist.... that movie ending messed me up
Personally I would have put The Prestige at the top. That movie is a masterpiece. The twist was incredible.
Thing is… I knew that weird quiet guy was Christian Bale, kinda hard not to spot him, I just didn’t see what was to come of it (the wife swap, which was heartbreaking).
The unskippable ads makes it hard to enjoy the video. Plus it drags out the video, never ends
YT added them in at the new year (or so one content creator said on Jan. 1st (2024).
@@LLynneM they have had ads for a while though
One great thing about these count downs is you give us a good idea of which movies to watch, if you haven’t.
Images if UA-cam actually has moderation/filters that actually exist
The pornographic bots would be terminated before they even make a single comment, much less blocked from UA-cam
This list uses 'twist' very loosely. Many of these are just unexpected or unusual story developments. A twist occurs when a piece of information is revealed that twists the perceived meaning of previous events.
Like the biggest twisty movie ever. *The Sixth Sense.* This list is meaningless w/o it (it should be #1). Its a total sham. 😂
@@LLynneM It's certainly a huge twist. I can't remember if that film has a second twist, though, which is what this list is about.
Lucky number slevin? Seven Pounds? Along came a spider? The usual suspects?
Feel free to make your own list and post it on YT. let me know when you do thanks. Should be great.
@@MW-us3sv Thank you.
The Usual Suspects is one of the few that got me. I completely second guessed myself on that one.
@@MW-us3svyou're free to have a point next time you post a reply. Let us know when you manage that.
@@f1jones544 Apologies if my ''point'' was too subtle for you to understand bud. Sadly I can't use crayons here. Maybe get a grown up to explain it to you.
"No Way Out" deserves an honorable mention.
But it's a total, heinous crime that Deathtrap isn't on the list. It seems like every scene is a twist.
The guy in the mist was out of bullets, he couldn't have turned the gun on himself, that was awful part
Great plot twists! Black Swan,SawThe Departed,Moon,Sting,The Arrival,Mist(very heartwrenching),Identity,Wild Things,Scream,Get Out,The Others(great plot twist),Gone Girl. Psycho deserving number 1😀Great video!😀
First one I thought of was Wild Things.
Yes. I watched it for the first time less than a year ago, and I was quite surprised by all the twists and turns. Honestly, I don't know how that movie wasn't spoiled for me ages ago. I watch a lot of videos like this, but weirdly, I never see Wild Things on these lists
26:51 If anyone is interested in what group is singing in this particular soundtrack, they are called the 'Bulgarian State Women's Choir.' They always sing a capella (without accompanying instruments) I found them in a different movie long ago and they have made many albums since. Werner Herzog has used them in his movies also. I am posting it here in case you don't have 'Shazam.' They have a very haunting beauty, although it is unusual because the western ear isn't quite used to the music and singing style.
Spider-Man Homecoming has a 3rd that you missed: Vulture finding out that Peter was Spider-Man through simple deduction, then not giving him up in an end credit scene.
two of my favorite movies with plot twists are very often forgotten, No Way Out and Mr. Brooks both staring a very talented Keven Costner.
You forgot about Wicker Park. Great twists!
Joker is also another one, is Arthur playing this whole thing in his mind or did these things really happen? I mean, how did he get to the hospital in the end. Its very clear that he lives in an altered reality from that woman he hallucinated an entire relationship with. Are we listening to a story he is fabricating? Did Arthur try to buy the gun from his colleague ?
Why is the Tall Man not on this list? Two utterly insane twists
The Empire Strikes Back had two plot twists as well: Lando betraying his friends and then helping them, and the other one involved some daddy-issues...
I'm really intrigued by the old films, i am gonna check them out!
Psycho has the best ending 🎉 it was so shocking back then!
WATCH PREDESTINATION.....
ONE OF THE MOST COMPLEX MOVIES OF ALL TIME❤❤❤❤❤❤
Spiderman Homecoming was imo THE great plot twist of the MCU. I'm not a comic book buff but that one wasn't in the comics as far as I ever heard. Fun reveal in the premiere night showing I went to lol
You should rank found footage films next! there are so many out there!
Another movie with multiple plot twists is Perfect Stranger, Halle Berry is the killer all this time AND her journalist friend is the perv she has been talking to online NOT Bruce Willis, one last one, Halley's Mom killed her dad when she was little and asked Halle to help her burry the body but Halle's young friend sees this and uses it to blackmail Halle for years , and Halle finally kills her, and then frames Bruce Willis for it, this is what sets off this entire movie.
do one for tv series plz?
Colin Sullivan does not work for the Boston PD. He’s a State Police Detective. He says it a couple times, but a key line from the film- “This is not the regular police! This is the State Police! Your training will illustrate the difference!”
The old people thing in Mulholland Drive is one of the most horrifying depictions of mental illness. Any of the people who say it’s selfish to commit suicide would shut up if they went through that shit for 5 minutes
Very nice
I remember watching From Dawn till Dusk at the pictures. The twist was weird and unexpected.
Arrival hurted me so much! How can you spare anybody the sadness and loss???
The Mist novella ends with them in a hotel getting a faint radio signal. Nice try Watch Mojo
Further, they say in the movie, the father is about to turn the gun on himself. No, he's not. He's out of bullets and gets out of the car to surrender himself to the monsters in the mist, THEN the mist clears and he sees the woman who he refused to help from the store in the beginning. Even more heartbreaking, imo.
Actually Bruce Willis loves these kinds of movies, Lucky Number Slevin is another one with many twists that'll shake you. 1. The kid did not die 2. The Cop killed the kids parents 3. Bruce Willis was playing the two bosses this whole time 4. Nick Fischer is NOT Nick Fischer 5. The real Nick Fischer died in the beggining of the movie and Slevin is posing as him 6. Slevin is the real killer 8. Slevin is the kid that didnt die 9. Bruce Willis did not kill the kid in the very beggining and helped him get revenge on the people who killed his patents.
Another great film with two (or 3?) twists is "Dead Again". Reincarnation, murder, vengence all twisted around :)
"Abbott is death process" was surprisingly sad.
He really was in a safe place
The Mist is actually even worse - he was going to off himself last, but ran out of ammunition. THEN the mist clears and the army arrives.

I was thinking about THE STING as a number one option ever since I started watching thr clip
I’m surprised the usual suspect didn’t make it in the list.
Predestination was a good one too!
Buried really fcked me up😂😂😂😊
How do you not include Sixth Sense? Totally never saw it coming!
Because it's just one plot twist, maybe? A multi layered one, with hints spread out over the movie, but still just one.
26:30 assignment 1, read The Mist, in an abandoned hotel , getting ready to hit the road....
Great movies with great plot twists👍👍.
I'll take one Sam Wockwell, but would love so many more of him🖤🎬🎥🎞📽🖤
11:56 finally a actual good movie on this list besides saw 2
I dont see how "us" is classed a twist, it was clear from the moment the camera cut away that the girls had been switched, i knew it immediately after they found her and she refused to speak, it was so obvious it was almost boring
Peter Parker wants just one day of normalcy. What every Spidey fan wishes for Peter !!!!!!
That Mist twist was depressing
Meet the Robinsons, Meet the Robinsons. Fingers crossed
Maybe you should watch Race starring Saif Ali Khan
Wild things was bonkers. Surprised its not higher.
Shutter Island - I think Rachel was based on Teddy's daughter who was drowned by his wife / her mother.
