Another foreshadowing moment from "Get Out" is that when Chris and Rose are pulled over near the beginning, Rose is quick to get the cop away before he glances at Chris' ID, so that there won't be any trace of him in the area once he vanishes.
10:24 THAT scene was one of Shyamalan's greatest ideas. I was SURE Malcolm could not be dead, because he had talked with Cole's mom too. But that's what the movie makes you belive by putting them together, although they never interact. Cole's mom can't even see Malcolm. That movie is genius
No one, I mean no one, would give away the ending of The Sixth Sense. "You have got to see Sixth Sense." That was all anyone would say. After I saw it the first time, i went and watched it again. An absolutely amazing movie. Literally right down to the ending. Thank you my friend!😊
No one believes me but I figured it out during the movie. When the kid says I see dead people the cold coming from him made it seem obvious. Probably never got any other twist ever but got that one because of that and it seemed so obvious to me. As the movie kept going I only had my thought reinforced. Sadly it’s my claim to fame.
Even if you've never seen "The Sixth Sense" before, you'd be aware of the twist. However, I love how subtle it is, especially how Malcolm never directly touches anything, is wearing variations of the same outfit, and we never see him talk to anyone besides Cole.
I do agree the major plot twist in "The Sixth Sense" is probably one of the most fantastic because I think if I had paid just a little more attention, I would've had an "aha" moment before the end. It was so obvious in the end. How many main characters are around several other characters in a movie but only have direct interaction with just one -- the little boy who sees dead people. And then there was that scene where Malcom was talking to his wife and she started to feel cold -- which most of us probably know is supposed to be a sign of the presence of spirits. Simply brilliant! 💯
I don't know how I didn't realise that about The sixth sense, how Malcolm never touches anything, doesn't talk to anyone but Cole and seems to always where the same outfit. I remember when this came out how I thought it was so strange how Cole's mother never looked or even spoke to Malcolm or how at the restaurant when Malcolm's widow just walked away without saying a word to him. I realised that after of course. But it's crazy how no one noticed until the very end.
Thank you for the update, MsMojo..!! While watching The Sixth Sense for the first time, I had no idea Malcolm was a ghost. It was interesting to watch the same movie again later, knowing he was a ghost though.
Another important moment from the Prestige is when the camera dollies along the aisle as Borden says 'we were two young magicians. We never planned on hurting anyone.' The way the scene is shot you thing that it's referring to Borden and Angier but it's actually referring to the Borden twins. I love it sooo much!
I remember when The Sixth Sense came out on DVD and they had a bonus video with all the clues in the movie. Once you know, you never watch it the same.
Time Machine Idiocracy (2006) Regardless If I figured It out early In the movie but we all knew Joe "Not Sure" Bowers was going to be stuck In the future and Rita too
The Sixth Sense has a scence of Bruce Willis and Toni Collette sitting in the same room together so you think they talked, but going back to rewatch and they never speak, that had everyone going back to rewatch because you think they did interact when they did not
I watched the sixth sense, and had no clue what was coming up. In fact, when it was revealed that Malcolm was dead, the whole time, I was still confused. I was like, but what about this anniversary scene? And then I realized his wife never spoke to him throughout that whole scene, and I just thought it was because she was mad at him.😂
"Malcolm only interacts with Cole" should have been "We see Malcolm get shot in the opening scene of the movie." 😂 I was pretty young when I saw The Sixth Sense, I didn't know the twist, and I still saw it coming a mile away just because of that.
another foreshadowing moment is when olivia is killed across the house from jill and kirby, you can see jill picking up her phone and pressing it to the window. this comes before they are in the film club going over the new rules and robbie says "the killers should be filming the murders" which they are
In Fight Club, I always thought the biggest clue (that I missed the first time around) was when Edward Norton's character beats himself up at the office and then states "I was reminded of my first fight with Tyler".
Sixth Sense's twist is so good because it doesn't distract from what is already a really good movie. I think people tend to forget that. The movie up to the twist is compelling and devastating. THe scene in the car where Cole reveals his secret to his mom still makes me ugly cry. ANd yet, as good as the rest of the movie is, it wouldn't feel complete without the twist. Very few movies can pull of a twist ending that doesn't overshadow everything else AND feels like a vital component to the story.
I think it’s left vaguely on purpose. It’s been a while since I watched it but I remember we see him giving therapy to the child there’s no scene of their introduction or his mother seeking for help or anything like that.
I remember when 6th Sense came out, my friend was telling me how her brother watched it the first time and at the beginning says "He's dead." Everyone was like "What?" "Him. Bruce Willis. His guy is dead."
I was the same 😅 I thought it was so unbelievably obvious... my family were not happy and thought I'd learned before watching it... I was like 'uh how could you NOT know?!'
@@TickleMoiPickle123 lol My friend said they all thought he was being stupid and he was just like , "Yeah, wait for it." At the end they all just looked at him all 🤨 lol
The other thing you see with Sixth Sense is that Malcolm always wears a blue shirt. On the night he is attacked, he is stabbed when he is wearing a blue shirt. All the way throughout the film, he still wears a blue shirt, but he has it covered over with his suit coat. At the end, the coat moves to reveal a blood stain, showing he is a corpse, a ghost.
The Empire Strikes Back foreshadows the famous plot twist involving Luke and Vader: in the swamp, by entering the Dark Side Cave, the 1st has to face his darkness represented by the 2nd which he defeats pretty easily by beheading him with his lightsaber but when Vader's helmet hits the ground it reveals whose head is inside, Luke's. This may be a simbol that Luke Skywalker himself might turn to the Dark Side but at the same time it represents that Vader himself is a Skywalker, Luke's father.
The bird sequence in THE PRESTIGE: That wasn't how magicians of the time could get away with operating. The big revelation of the plot twist was Angier using a double in his act, which indicated that Borden could do the same; that it would be his twin would be a possibility that Christopher Priest took care to apparently rule out in the source novel. The twin birds does indicate the Bordens' loony plan (not in the book) which involved one of them being executed.
Someone pointed out something to me i never caught onto.If i had i sould have figured out The Sixth Sense sooner. Before he is shot, you see Malcolm wearing that day a white undershirt, medium blue shirt, navy or black slacks and sweater, black shoes, and a raincoat.Throughout the ENTIRE movie (and the future years, that is telling you something folks),he NEVER wears anything besides these seven pieces of clothes.
A more accurate way of describing Malcolm is that no one interacts with _him_. He does talk to his wife, and she even says a few things "to" him, but she never looks at him. Both these two scenes, and the one with Cole's mom, are so brilliantly done that you don't realize they don't know he's there until a second watch.
The penis photo reappears in Fight Club's final obvious 4 seconds (film must be slowed down to catch it) before it cuts to black then cuts to credits at an obvious moment due to the screen suddenly blurs to repeated flashing, indistinguishable blurred images one of which (when you slow film) is the penis shot earlier shown Durdin was said to splice into kids films. Doesnt preface plot but too big easter egg not to mention
When it comes to the sixth sense, you know something is up when they show Bruce Willis writing with his right hand. I know Bruce Willis is left-handed and so am I because we wear our watches on our right hands so when I saw that he was riding with his right hand, I knew something was up.
In Black Friday 2023 when Patrick Dempsey character is given the original footage of the security camera that reveals other people involved his attitude changes and makes Laurie doubt of the others, and since that some of those people are killed 😮
In Get Out in the scene where all the auctions people are meeting Chris, the woman that is pretty much hitting on him, you can see his girlfriend behind him mouthing "stop" as if she's making it a little too obvious

@whatwouldbuffydo , I absolutely would be so mad!!! That's another great movie. Some people don't know when to just stop!! Happy Monday 😊
There was a tv late night show host in my country who did that on tv. His name is Luis Chataing

For me, it was Malcom appearing out of nowhere when Cole exposed that woman poisoning her daughter that made me realize the twist
Sadly, I'd heard what the twist is before I ever saw the movie. I wish I could go back and watch it completely fresh, and then be mindblown!
I do agree the major plot twist in "The Sixth Sense" is probably one of the most fantastic because I think if I had paid just a little more attention, I would've had an "aha" moment before the end. Love Get out, The Sixth Sense and Psycho!
The Sixth Sense is a primary example of crazy plot twists!
I don't know how I didn't realise that about The sixth sense, how Malcolm never touches anything, doesn't talk to anyone but Cole and seems to always where the same outfit. in the sixth sense, the notorious i see dead people scene. cole STARES at malcom. looks him up and down, then says, "i see dead people."
He looks straight at him he doesn't give us a clue that Malcolm is dead idk where you saw him looking him up and down

The birds in The Prestige actually foreshadow how both magicians' tricks work. One works with twins and the other with a double who dies.
Thank you for the update, MsMojo..!! While watching The Sixth Sense for the first time, I had no idea Malcolm was a ghost. It was interesting to watch the same movie again later, knowing he was a ghost though.

Shutter Island
Someone's seen Jurassic Park too many times...giggle

I was like, but what about this anniversary scene? And then I realized his wife never spoke to him throughout that whole scene, and I just thought it was because she was mad at him.😂
I've always thought the helicopter in Jurassic Park was meant to be an early hint to Ingen's lackluster safety measures.
"Malcolm only interacts with Cole" should have been "We see Malcolm get shot in the opening scene of the movie." 😂 I was pretty young when I saw The Sixth Sense, I didn't know the twist, and I still saw it coming a mile away just because of that.
Yeah same.... I thought that made it so obvious about 5 mins in
My favorite foreshadow from Jurassic Park is the seatbelt problem/solution. Both ends were “female” but he tied them together to still work.
another foreshadowing moment is when olivia is killed across the house from jill and kirby, you can see jill picking up her phone and pressing it to the window. this comes before they are in the film club going over the new rules and robbie says "the killers should be filming the murders" which they are

If Bruce Willis was dead the whole time than how was he hired to treat Haley Joel Osment?
I think it’s left vaguely on purpose. It’s been a while since I watched it but I remember we see him giving therapy to the child there’s no scene of their introduction or his mother seeking for help or anything like that.
Malcolm wasn't hired, but Cole did start seeing him.

I love Get Out such a great movie
It is awful!

I re-watched the whole of The Prestige almost immediately after watching it for the first time, just to be able to figure everything out.
Get out. I did think his girlfriend would turn out evil 😮
The prestige had so many it could have made its own list. That movie is so good

Cole is scared of ghost and when we first see him he is scared and running from Malcom.
When it comes to the sixth sense, you know something is up when they show Bruce Willis writing with his right hand. I know Bruce Willis is left-handed and so am I because we wear our watches on our right hands so when I saw that he was riding with his right hand, I knew something was up.
Saw: Amanda cut open a corpse who also turned out to be alive.
Did cole know malcolm was a ghost i wonder?

People love Get Out so much but I just can't agree, it was so boring.
Sixth Sense is pretty boring when you know the twist
Why is this in MsMojo?
Get Out is one of the worst movies that I have ever seen,I couldn’t even finish it!
