Uma Thurman - Kill Bill Vol 2 (almost got killed in a driving stunt) and Bob Hoskins - Super Mario Bros Movie (stabbed four times, got electrocuted and almost drowned on several instances)
For real like some of these not being fatal can only go down to divine intervention cos no one should’ve survived this sh*t (and obviously goes without saying the immediate aid on set + the phenomenal medical staff saving their lives therefore gifting us all more years of these stars projects some of them so SO ✨iconic✨) but you’re bang on the money its gotta be the combination of this!!
@@emmiexrose Our body's can be very resistant to dying... i.e. Kentucky Ballistics 50 cal exploding on him and he survived. Or you know, every person presented in this video.
The Wicked Witch pyrotechnic mistake gets even worse when you learn that the green makeup she was wearing, was made from a copper base. A toxic level. So when she received those burns, they couldn't just wash the paint off, because if it got into the wounds, it could cause a life threatening infection. x.x
When it comes to actors and actresses that have almost died multiple times on the sets of movies and TV shows, it's hard to top anything that Jackie Chan has done. The guy has broken probably every bone in his body throughout his film career, and has almost died multiple times, Armour of God being the one that almost took his life very early on his career. It's not only a good thing that Jackie Chan and everyone on this list survived all of their near death incidents, but God and his angels must've been watching over all of them when it happened.
Yeah - What about Buster Keaton? He managed to walk away with a broken neck after one of his silent movie stunts! Many of the silent stars did their own stunts and nearly died. They, too, need to be checked out and on some of these lists!
3:22 thank you so much showing this I own a DVD that had trailers on it and there was this one movie where Chevy Chase had a bunch of white powder on his face and I forget what he says but it's a line like he wants more and I was like that is freaking hilarious given the fact that I was going through my own addictions at the time maybe that's a little too dark for this channel I'm doing a hell of a lot better now been clean for a very long long time but I've always wanted to know the name of that movie and I wasn't going to buy every chubby Cheese movie there is out there so now I know what movie it is and now I can watch it thank you so much
Robert Helpmann on the set of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The wagon he was driving flipped over, but thanks to his dance skills, he ran over the wagon as it was turning over, jumped off and rolled to safety. Dick Van Dike said it was an amazing sight.
I think another incident worth mentioning is when the orca accidentally sank during the filming of Jaws, due to the yellow barrels smashing through the haul.of the Orca
So when you have two different spots for the same actor, then technically your list isn’t “30 actors.” It’s more like 20 something actors and 30 different incidents.
That Mummy story is an Urban Legend. Simon Crane, the stunt coordinator did the fall through the trap door on the gallows. Before he did the closeup, Brendan tightened the noose, stood on his tiptoes and fainted like the big sissy that he is. There was a large crew, other actors and all of those extras who lived in the apartment complex that served as the "prison" ,who were witnesses. Brendan thinks none of those people have computers. We do.
Buddy from the Wizard of Oz did not have an allergic reaction. The makeup he wore was aluminum powder that he inhaled so much of that it coated his lungs which could have killed him. After the tin man was recast, the powder makeup had to be turned into a paste instead.
I heard on the DVD commentary of Twilight that Robert Pattinson almost died falling from a stair balcony in a stunt during the scene where Edward tries to protect Bella from James.
I would never question Jackie Chan or Tom Cruise’s dedication to their craft. I remember Dylan O’Brien’s ‘The Death Cure’ accident. But what is with James Cameron trying to drown his actors?
Not exactly near-fatal, but during filming of The Wolf Of Wall Street the handle of a prop briefcase broke and Leonardo DiCaprio was almost hit by a car.
As I am a Big Dylan O'Brien fan I knew the story about what happened and glad he was ok he is so young and still have a great career ahead of him. He was 26 or 27 when it happened and just think of this it happened in Feb of 2016 and he had 6 months of recovery and then start working on Amercian Assassin he had to must have gone thought Hell to recover and come back like that I have mad respect for him and actors who does this and come and keep acting.
Fun Fact: Sylvester Stalone also wrote and directed Rocky 4, same with the other three movies he did before, though he only wrote and started in the first Rocky movie

Filming a movie can be dangerous sometimes, and some people lost their lives filming a movie. Safely should be a number one priority when making a movie, no matter the genre. Enough said.
Not seen Premium Rush, The Call, Aeon Flux, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Armour Of God, BlindSpot, Rocky IV, some of the Halle Berry films mentioned in this video, Breaking Bad and The Passion Of The Christ.
Jackie chan is the luckiest actor/ martial artist still alive, due to so many injuries incurred Mr chan has to pay for any injuries that happen to him or his co stars and stunt men and women because insurance companies won't insure his films,
That reference to Rome, NY is possibly inaccurate. "Gangs" was filmed both on Long Island and on a set in Rome (Italy). Unless DDL was in Rome, NY for other business, it seems unlikely he'd choose this setting to pick random fights.
Considering you filled up the list of 30 and still get to mention actress Sarah Polley on the set of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (When she was a freaking child!), that tells you the level of danger on set. Also, Terry Gilliam must have the same affliction as James Cameron that prevents a person from apologizing for getting someone killed. 😒 (To be fair, the people primarily responsible for keeping Sarah safe during filming really were her parents. They chose to defer Gilliam and staff. But he never seemed notice she nor anyone else was in danger.)
Almost paralyzed from spinal inflammation? Hardly. People don't get paralyzed from a back injury unless they sever nerves. Please. Things like this keep the film in the news & get the public to see it.

Love It WatchMojo.
Jackie Chan deserves his own dedicated list of on-set accidents.
I fully agree
hooray! a 12 hours compilation!
Definitely loving the longer videos!
Fortunately, all of these stars managed to survive their almost fatal accidents, due to quick thinking, or pure luck.

Jackie Chan almost dies in every movie he's in that's what makes him so awesome
Jackie Chan isnt afraid of death, death is afraid of him. 😂
Fun fact.. so are his children..
His injury in Armour of God wad described by Chan as "the closest he had ever come to death".
The Wicked Witch pyrotechnic mistake gets even worse when you learn that the green makeup she was wearing, was made from a copper base.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! My respect to great actors and actresses.

Daniel Day Lewis is insane. He spends so much time being in character that he doesn't know how to talk with people on a regular level.
Yeah - What about Buster Keaton? He managed to walk away with a broken neck after one of his silent movie stunts! Many of the silent stars did their own stunts and nearly died. They, too, need to be checked out and on some of these lists!
probably at least 29 of these could be Jackie Chan on his own
Numbers 30 through 1, Jackie Chan. Everything he’s ever done.
Please please give us the Jackie Chan list of near death experiences in movie set.
Thank goodness they're all right
I'm surprised last samurai and Jackie Chan. When he slid down the Pole are the only times those 2. was near death
From the thumbnail, I'm surprised it wasn't just Jackie Chan for all 30!
Or is that another episode?
James Cameron keeps almost drowning cause he the type of person that never learn their lesson
This list could've been filled w/ Hong Kong action actors.

Near-death experiences: just another reason why I don’t see pro-acting in my future.
To think that we almost lost these actors!
Jackie Chan's near fatal accident on the set of Armour of God almost got him a Darwin Award.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't have an at risk Darwin award
Yeah. This should have been the accident that topped the list. He literally has a hole in his skull now.
14:40 I still miss watching Blindspot. ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Jackie Chan's movies which almost got him killed: All of them.
Wow. You really don't ever think of things what happens behind the scenes when you watch a movie.

It’s because of things like this, that actors stunt devils, and whoever helps make these films, deserve every single penny that they earn.

And yet the actors who survived and escaped death is miraculous.
In Alien Resurrection Ron Perlman almost drowned during the underwater scene
I just came here to see the one for Dylan O'Brien. He is the true maze runner and I'm glad he survived.
