2000hp and not an LS! In fact, aside from the turbos and engine management, the engine and tranny are pretty old school! This car is pretty awesome, and so are those Polish dudes... hope to see them back again.
That dyno footage was insane such watching the whole car shift upwards and then relax as soon as it lets off , v8s are not my preference but this is what I love is absolutely amazing builds and the owners standing beside them 💪🏼
YES! More videos of these guys' operation!! If you can have them answer in Polish, and have a translator translate their answers given from Polish to the scientifically exact English, we will surely get better details of their setup and their trials and tribulations with this super cool car. Excellent video!
My favorite part about this whole video is when Kyle casually walks past and films the HST Audi TT, which has the record of the fastest AWD Audi in the world.
The 67/68 Camaros are my favorite. Used to have a 68 with a 402BBC and a T-10 4SPD. That car was putting down so much tq... I miss it. This is a wild build... I wonder if the car would fare better on a harder tire in the street though? It seems like the ultimate no prep setup to hurt some feelings. Great video KYLE and the rest of 1320... You guys keep me in the loop! Any chance you could do some VE content with some G8s, SSs, Caprice PPVs?? I have only seen a couple in your guys vids. Full FEATURE!!
@@RollinTwentySix Yeah it was a torquey engine. It came from a 1972 Monte Carlo SE which was limited production. But we had some MSD goodies, roller rockers, a nice cam and billet distributor on it, so it was a little more power than stock. The car went down on 29x10.5 bias plies and made some really good 1/4mile passes. It was a beast, especially that 4.56 eaton 12bolt rear. I had a lot of fun cutting my teeth on how to work on cars with that one.
Even though I read the title and deliberately clicked on this video, I still made an audible, “oh, shit!” when the front tires stared spinning in the beginning.
Awesome job, Kyle and co:) I am from Poland and VTG is a stone throw from me, so this is just awesome and I have been watching 1320videos almost from the beginning when you had like 20.000 subs. BTW: Today there were new records set in Poland at Pila, I believe the record now belongs to a Monte Carlo or TransAm Pro Mod. You are welcome to Poland, Kyle and co. You could for example combine Warsaw Street Racing meets which are just CRAZY and also see Pila where the fastest cars in Poland run and also a lot of fast cars from other countries (Norway, Lithuania, Germany etc). Today was the last race of the season at Pila though. And btw: VTG also built a Crazy 4x4 Lada Niva with 1250 Awhp (LSX single turbo) which deserve it's own movie:D
SRC was just saying in their last video it was a matter of time before someone builds a AWD hotrod like this and here you guys are posting a video on one. Would love to see this car on the streets.
This is gonna be a problem. Like he was saying it’s simple math. 40 inches of grip vs 20. Someone will figure it out and then all the “no prep street racers” will try to ban them
I saw the wheel have sort of a wobble. Well at least this fella and his car made it through the pass. Definitely rooting for him to get the time he wants. What a interesting setup .
Bardzo dobrze! I’m an American living in the Aug and I run at Santa Pod when the weather cooperates (not much this last summer). I haven’t seen this car yet in person but hopefully they’ll be back next summer. Thanks for covering some good stuff from “The Pod.” Santa Pod used to be an old airfield during WW2 called, RAF Podington. The strip itself is located on what was the main runway. The 92d Bomb Group was stationed there flying 4 squadrons of B-17s. It was converted to the drag strip post-war and opened up officially in 1966. There’s a lot of history at this location.
I was waiting for something to break with all that traction. And the weight transfer really took the traction off the front. They did all they could - no shame in that. This thing is probably a beast for what it was meant for-closer to No Prep as he mentioned.
Yup, they just need a good bit less traction to run that on prep, I think they could get out of the hole pretty solid with skinnier tires, something that will give them a bigger window to get a little wheel speed out of the hole.
