Tbh it has grown on me the same way the beaver 4 did.
Its basically nothing like Rolls. Even S class is considerably more comfortable and quiet inside to a point of deal breaking for rich people and if you compare it to a Phantom, you are a total fool.

Look at the new 7 series with two tone paint you cannot sit there and tell me it doesn’t look like a rolls.
I’m honestly surprised how gaudy cars from BMW, Mercedes, etc are these days. All of the screens, lights aren’t luxurious to me. If anything it dumbs down the class of these cars significantly which is ironic.
100% agree the screens really make it look cheap. unless you hide everything behind wood or a cool looking material then seeing a bunch of fingerprints on a screen is not luxurious. 03 phantom was the pinnacle in my opinion.
Dont u think people had the same opinions back when the automatic gearbox was introduced? Or power steering and radio etc? As an owner of a E91 BMW, my next car will be a Porsche. BMW, Audi, and Mercedes have too many screens and no physical buttons. BMW is no longer the ultimate driving machine, it’s now the ultimate tech machine
I agree but if you have seen the new Cayenne and Panamera, they are available with passenger screens
It’ll be too late by the time you buy one. Only a matter of time before physical buttons are gone on the 911. Cayenne and Panamera already have touch screens.

True that there is a lot of tech in this car, but isn't the point being that one can set up the preferred driving profiles? I imagine once someone set everything to their liking, it would turn into a case of the driver not really having to fiddle with very much.

I know engine downsizing is the direction of these German car manufacturing brand going. But I just hate the way they name them

It's a cool car but everything, including the door is electronic. It's to the point where cloth seats and roll down windows would be nice. Sometimes, I just want to get in and go.
With that said, the 7 is probably the nicest current BMW.

People hating on this car cant afford it 😂 its funny how i just came from a rolls royce spectre video and it has the same exact front end and everyone was loving it. This car is the best luxury ive seen in my life. The fact hes getting messages while cruising around is insane. And it actually works? Not some one that barely does anything. Wow. Id love to be in that back seat watching netflix getting messaged😂 its a bargain rolls royce.

One of our customers has one, literally was about to be bought back but since jt depreciated sooooo much he would have lost 40,000 even with the buy back
The lines of the exterior and interior make me feel like someone came into my house, re-arranged my furniture in all fucked up ways and left the dishes in the sink.
Modern 7 series are fantastic cars to drive but are virtually un-diy-able. So if you plan on owning one out of warranty just add 50% to your monthly payment to cover repairs.
They will be worth $30k in couple year later

The design of these has grown on me. I built one in dark grey and rather liked how it looked. I think I’d still take a Mercedes S580 if I had the $ lol.
The w223 is nice,but based on my MB mechanics experience, the w223 is just too problematic, unlike this G70 which has yet to receive major issues

F BMW- and this comes from a past enthusiast. My stomach is turning upside down when I see them and I am so happy to be cured from the madness and misery that goes along with the ownership.
You didn’t put it in sport mode and use the boost on the left shifter, it will be a completely different car 👍
That's "extra", as my kids say. It would give me seizures looking at that dash for any length of time! I'm 58, and wouldn't mind rolling down my windows - and viewing analog gauges!

It’s always better to flip a switch, than to sift through a series of menus! With a switch or a knob, you don’t have to take your eyes off the road, with a touch screen, you barely have time to look at the road… What road? Seriously, the move to touch screens is unsafe.
Just make an 850CSI again.

technology is amazing.. These companies still can't make power windows last the life of a car, so i'm sure all this new tech will be reliable long term.. 😂.. but i mean it is an amazing technological achievement..
I don’t particularly like how all functions in the newer bmws require you to navigate through the touch screen. Even just to change climate control.

I love the looks of the 7. My neighbor has one and it looks far better in person than in video, or pictures. If people haven’t seen one up close and personal they should reserve comment. It is rolling modern art. Take a deep breath people.

I wonder if it has the usual BMW runflat tires, which are always noisy and ride like garbage.
This is such a controversial design, but I really love it. It looks so menacing and has a shark-ish front end that reminds me of the E38. The design language works better on a sedan vs SUV, imo.

Nothing gets better than a BMW. I really like the interior, except the iDrive, it's a shame BMW is still doubling down on that wide-ass screen.
The screen isn't so much the issue, in my opinion. I think it looks quite good. It's, again in my opinion, the fact that so many controls the previously used to be physical and tactile, moved into the screen. For instance, you used to have a slider in between the dashboard vents which enabled you to quickly increase or decrease the temperature of these vents a bit. On my car, that now requires a tap, another tap, a third tap and sliding a virtual slider left or right. It's ridiculous and completely unnecessary but of course it saves BMW a few pennies because they now don't have to design multiple versions of certain components depending on which options you have or haven't got. Same thing for the 8 shortcut buttons, a unique BMW feature that truly was fantastic to use. Now they're gone, moved into a screen that appears when you swipe down from the top. And apart from ridiculous, it's also more dangerous in my opinion, because it's hard to aim a tap on the screen while you're driving and the car is wobbling left and right (I still regularly miss a tap. I've had this vehicle for over a year) while you can find a physical button without taking your eyes off the road just by muscle memory
I do still think though that, indeed, nothing gets better than a BMW. Well, except for the infotainment that is
@@BinaryBlueBull I meant that it doesn't look like a proper dashboard anymore, putting a wide-ass screen is unnecessary. Yeah, there should be a lot more physical buttons. My rule is that if a car barely has any physical button on the dashboard then I won't buy it.

The shape of this car yes resembles an E38, but the LCI would sell well, the w223 s class is a repeat of a w220, cheaply made and unreliable, my MB mechanics think the G70 is a better car overall, if you can remember the controversial E65, the LCI version outsold very well, peak S class is just w140,w221 and w222

Warning, a random stream of thoughts...
God stop with the touch screens everywhere, don't get me wrong I like a good touch screen I even don't mind the center one that much(at least it doesn't totally look like an iPad slapped on the dashboard...) but the ones on the rear door cards, yuck. It looks like cost cutting without admitting it, why put R&D money into designing nice seat controls, with *tactile* physical dials and buttons, when you can just slam a slab of touchy glass in, make it software controlled and call it a day. BMW used to be classy yet modern and progressive, now it's just trendy flashy unicorn vomit everywhere. This unfortunate new trend is sad, but business is business and this is what generates them the most revenue. Could they do design differently, could the keep the v12, of course, but why risk it? Pouring resources into designing a more physical interface and making the v12 more eco, just to sell it once and maybe make some money out of servicing it for a few years before it depreciates into oblivion, it's just not worth the money.
Horrid looking car. Regular 3 series is the best looking car they make, followed by the 8 or suvs depending on your taste then the 2

Hideous... E38, 46, and 39 were the last pure BMW's. BMW and many other manufacturers designs are now a Gen Z woke wet dream.
