    That a fine building and the crew was amazing. I’m glad hurricanes aren’t too common up there, lol. From personal experience hurricanes laugh at “hurricane straps”. 💪

    Adam, I really think you hit it out of the park with the design of the barn, lean-to, and saw mill area. It is a very efficient and practical design. The crew is outstanding and you should be thrilled!!

    Great Adam. Isn't it great to watch a crew that knows what they are doing. It goes so smoothly.
    It took my wife and I nearly 2 weeks to do our bubble insulation and siding on our shop after the builders left.
    i like the two-tone color a lot.

    I really like that these workers have neat hair and clean clothes. A good business practice for a builder. We already know that they keep the site clean and neat. How about an interview of the crew at the end of the build.

      And no stupid useless tattoos either. Anymore you can't find anyone not inked up. I ask any contractor coming on my compound if they have workers sporting neck tattoos. They look at me like I'm nuts. And maybe so. But they are forbidden. Case closed end of conversation. I have my reasons believe me.

    Love watching efficient workers. When they are throwing the blocks for the rafters up to the guy and he doesnt have to vary his position while balancing on the top plate, bravo. That takes practice and repetition. And good training.

    Good morning Adam, they are impressive with the skillset, fit and finish. The amount of background planning, training and management is to be commended as well. I’m smiling and just watching it being constructed, if you’re ever sent to the Dog House you’ll be pretty comfortable. 😀👍👍👍

    I haul an Amish crew who frame houses and do pole barns. I am used to seeing buildings be built this size in about a week.
    What I am not used to is seeing boys dressed as these boys were doing this kind of work. Were these boys maybe dressed down Amish?

    Since 30 to 40% of the comments were on how unsafe the workers were, I would have liked to have seen adam address it to think if he feels the same way or not.

      As Would I. I see they heard some of the safety violation callouts. In this vid you see Somebody brought in an all-terrain Boomlift work platform. At least they went from safety last upgraded to Safety 3rd.

      @JohnSmith-tv5ep putting a ladder in the boom lift would have been much better. The boom lift platform has solid cage structure where a rubber footed ladder can be lashed down securely at the bottom and midway of the ladder.
      The bucket does Not have any safe way of lashing a ladder down.

    One thing i saw that i did not like. You can actually shoot too many nails into the end of a board. Counted 18 in one rafter alone. Splinters the board up so bad there isnt any holding power left.

    After watching this I wish I had gone with bookshelf framing on my building!!
    Any concerns about the posts rotting over time with being straight in the ground? In my area it seems most people use concrete piers to mount the posts above ground

    5:05 (Just as a camera nerd) if you lower your f/stop (eg, increase the number) you can eliminate that blurring effect. Though, this will decrease the amount of light the camera sensor will receive, so you will have to compensate with either increasing your ISO, which may give you slightly grainier video, or decrease your shutter speed, this can start to introduce motion blur. Or obviously a combination of the two.
    Personally I would go with the increased ISO before shutter speed. With it being in daylight, I don't believe you would have to change it by much.

      I dare say this is actually filmed on an iPhone in cinematic mode. It uses AI to try and determine foreground/background, and then it applies a fake DOF blur. Might be wrong though.

    Adam, just a question, did the crew add any joist hangers from the header board on the lean-to rafters or just toe-nail them on? Just think a few (every 3rd rafter) would help for wind lift and snow load over the years. Course I overbuild stuff, may not be necessary.
    The project looks great!

    Those scissor trusses. Either cut wood on the sawmill for the bottom side or do tin.... otherwise the birds will make that their home... and they will poop on everything!

      @@daveklein2826I had a brother in law that lost a 75 foot leanto on a 100 foot barn. When the snow slid off the upper roof, it took down the lower roof because of no rafter brackets.

    One thing I notice is their general lack of safety equipment. Glasses, ear pro, chainsaw chaps and most of all falling protection when just holding onto the building or on the skidsteer.

    i bet those young men are paid by the job and not the hour/ that would explain the efficiency. All young tradesman, I love to see that. I noticed nicer trucks and trailers. They didnt roll up in your typical young kid " beater" . Earning their money, and doing it right out of the gate. college isnt for everyone

    I would rather them make it in 8-10 days and have a lot less risk of death or serious injury. I know it’s their perogative but I don’t think it’s great to praise them on how fast they are considering how reckless they are at times.
    At least they finally have a proper cage lift though.

    So 6-6.5 days but with little or no Health & Safety consideration at all. Maybe 12 days with fully compliant access/fall arrest systems and safety equipment in place. As impressive as the speed of construction may appear, it is clear that the profit margin is perhaps achieved by adopting a high risk site set up. Can you put a price on a human life? I fear your contractor has. Especially the guy gas nailing towards his own face.....
