And while it's true that the success of achieving those values can be (and is, IMO) an aesthetic of it's own, a chicken coop is certainly a fantastic, small project to test out new ideas and skills on because, well, if you mess it up, it's just a chicken coop, right? Fitting and matching masonry stone work is an art that can take many years to master and how better to start than with a small chicken coop? Has he ever used cedar shingles as a finish roofing material before? Seems most of this previous roof have been standing seam metal. And did anyone notice the windows in the coop were hand-built leaded glass? Did he build those windows himself rather than buying pre-built windows? Everything about this is just spectacular-the craftsmanship, the result, the editing, and most of all, you yourself Sean. As we say here in Ireland Sean, "you're some man for one man.".
Creativity, pride, and perseverance on display. Beautiful work of craftsmanship no rodents or other animals will make it through that beautiful chicken homestead 👏
It is an indication as to the depths of a man's soul and appreciation of beauty, when that man elevates what is usually slapped together utilitarian structure, into a beautiful structure that enhances and compliments the magnificent beauty of the natural setting.
