Thank you, Chris, for your generosity of your time and equipment. And, a huge thanks to Adam, Jenny, Zac, and Ally for all your hard work in the rain. It was a fun and productive day. You have no idea how much this meant to us.
Good morning Hey Chris I do pallets for firewood just like you have in the beginning of the video. I use to buy/use 2x4s for the support brackets. I just started using the the top support bars from the ibc totes. Only work needed is to bend the ends of them in a vise. Screw hole is already drilled😊. Hope this helps take care.
It warms my heart that communities still come together like this. I know it’s not rare is some parts of the country but I still think we need a lot more of this!
Chris, I really appreciate your site and videos. My time is pasted for a firewood business, but I encourage anyone who wants to start a fire business can learn a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work.
Great splitting session 👍 And it's awesome that you donated your time and equipment to help a neighbor. We need more of that in the world. It used to be a thing we all did called work bees.
Nice video guys. Always a good day working with friends and their families. Adam’s parents raised those kids right. Your equipment got a workout today. GNI
Just like old time splitting. Nice to have a second person to make that ultra sing! Because of your presence on UA-cam, how many ultras have you sold if you could guess.
With a 4-way, splitting goes fast, if you are not needing to make them real small. That was a bunch of wood. It is great seeing a lot of people come together and help each other.
@@joeahopelto8032 At times one can fit more wood in the firebox because the smaller pieces will fit in the voids where another large piece will not fit.
1-Adams mom will be filling it most all the time and she is tough but is in here mid seventies. 2- There is a variety of sizes and a lot of boiler people THINK bigger is better but you can actually get more wood in at a time with a variety of sizes filling the voids better with more wood for longer burns....they do have dampers to control the burn rate so more wood in (weight and space wise) lasts longer than a couple huge pieces that do not allow more huge pieces to be put in.
I've noticed you often manually clear the splits off the table or away from the blade. Why don't you just allow the next log to push those off as it splits?? It never seems efficient watching from here.
Very nice Chris! Is that YOUR baby dump trailer in person? I was getting worried that your son had "borrowed" it for too long of a stretch denying your use of it. Glad you have it back at your use. Chuck in Florida.

Thanks for letting us come and play! It was fun, I am glad we could help!
Thank you! for allowing Chris to share your day with us, perhaps it will inspire others to do the same.👍

Yes it was! Thanks!
What goes around comes around! That was great that you donated your time and equipment to help out Adam’s parents!! Good stuff Sir Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Thanks. I have always told my kids...It's not how much or what you get but how much you give and the time with family and friends that matter.
Good morning

Yup, it was a good day!

It was a good day!

Nice! You can get one from me at a firewood event.
Awesome!
Good to see that pile done.
Yup it is that!
Great day's production of firewood. 👍
Highlight reel: the Woodchuck
You got that right! It was a real surprise to see it run out of there after being there all day!
Looks like another day in Paradise. HA!
Yup, always better out than in!
All the wood chucking and all. What's with the coat and long sleeve
Cold Rain...did you watch the video?
Is someone measuring the woodpile at 4:53 LOL
Maybe so!
Well done. Just a question. Why are the splits so small? Boilers want at least slightly bigger pieces for longer burning no?
Perhaps the size has to do with handling pieces that weigh less than 75 lbs. I believe that is the limit set by shipping companies for regular rates.
The size of pieces for the boiler doesn't matter. It's also smaller, so Adams mom can handle the wood to load boiler.
@@joeahopelto8032 At times one can fit more wood in the firebox because the smaller pieces will fit in the voids where another large piece will not fit.
Exactly!

More is always the right amount 😂
Absolutely CORRECT!
👍👍👍
Thanks!!!
One of my favorite type of gatherings, nice job by everyone! 👍 You should have😁sent a DM.
Thanks, yup, team work is great!
finally found an answer to how much wood could a wood chuck chuck, none he headed for the hills lol
yup, you are correct!
Jeeze what kinda woodchuck just runs away from a wood pile!?
One that knows he is at the wrong house!
🤘
Thanks for always watching!
I am making small runs of wood similar to your long rungs
Nice, keep cuttin'!
Good Morning Woodhounds!!(--:
Good morning, Greg 😉👍
Hello!
The only way to process wood is thru alot of good help😊
Yup, team work is great!
I've noticed you often manually clear the splits off the table or away from the blade. Why don't you just allow the next log to push those off as it splits?? It never seems efficient watching from here.
Yup, mostly to keep the area from getting to jammed up and having the pile fall under our feet.
Did you see how far a chucked woodchuck can fly?
When you plink them in the noggin they don't go far 😂
No, but that would be interesting!
That's a lot in 1 day. I could do that before covid now its like all I can do is maybe 2 to 3 hours tops.
Yup, when I had it I was winded easily for a few months, it got better gradually.
Good morning all!
Good morning Kurt!!
100 bucks a facecord and most of that will have to be resplit by the customer
okay.
Very nice Chris! Is that YOUR baby dump trailer in person?

Yes it is!
We know who the real woodchucks are. You guys did a fantastic job. That's a lot of wood.
Thanks!
And on todays episode of "Wood Hoarders" we have Adam's folks place!🪵🔥🤠
Yup, they know that the right amount of wood is....MORE!
