*What thickness of thermal pad did you use?*
On vrm or the chips around the heat sink use 1.5mm, rest 0.5mm thermal pads. I usually recommend buying an assortment, they are cheap and not bad to have some laying around for future jobs!

Can I use 2mm on everything? Where I live they're kind of expensive
2mm might be a bit too big for the parts that need 0.5mm. If the thermal pads are making good contact with the VRMs and memory it should be OK.

I would think 1.5mm would be the smallest you can go there. You can try the 1mm to see if they squish down a little. I am thinking they will not.
Wouldnt it be better to put the pads on the chips themselfs rather then the cooler?
Either or. Just as long as they are lined up correctly (can see once on)
Does the 960 2b windforce share the same size of thermal pad ?
Not 100% sure, but they seem to be the same. Even if its a little thicker it would be ok! If you can purchase a variety pack of sizes is usually the best!

They seem to be the same, but always good to check when you take the old ones off! Also buying a variety pack of sizes for thermal pads is always a good idea!

Always good to match up with what your taking off, some revisions of the same card use slightly different pads, heatsinks etc. This is why we recommend a variety pack. On the one we are working on in this video, if you look in the description of the video all the info is there for you.
