IMPORTANT TIP: I think you should exercise much more caution when cleaning the old paste from the chip itself around 14:21, especially with some older, harder thermal paste. There are many VERY small capacitors surrounding the die, you should be much slower and more careful when cleaning these as it is easy to knock one off if you're not careful. Easy enough when they are the size of a grain of salt, or LESS.... just keep this is mind everyone. Please pin this if you see it, many thanks

My Windforce GV-N970G1 GAMING-4D Rev 1.1 has MODEL PLD08010S12H fans. Found these on Aliexpress, a complete set of 3 fans with a common connector. To connect this connector, you will need to completely disassemble the video card, as in this video. This means that you need to additionally buy a not cheap set of thermal pads and thermal paste. It would be possible to replace each of the fans of this kit separately, but there are two obstacles: 1. The black metal frame on which the fans are fixed is screwed to the cooling radiator with four screws, of which only three can be unscrewed, access to the fourth is blocked by output connectors that cannot be dismantled. I had to break off this part of the frame and I was able to separate the frame from the radiator. In this video, the frame structure is slightly different from mine, probably because I have Rev 1.1. 2. Separating the new fans from the wire connecting them, I was surprised to find that the connector of the new fan has a male contact, and the connector of my old one is female. Therefore, when buying, you should pay attention to this and talk to the seller, because in the photo it is not always possible to make out which connectors. In this video, the connectors are the same, but the author has a Rev 1.0 board, I have Rev 1.1. I'll have to cut off the connectors and solder the wires.

Rev 1.1. Hey. Me again xD. So I finally got my TS-100 a while ago and your video reminded me I still need to get new resistors for my 970 windforce. Any chance to get some ohm readings on R637 and R638 below the CE logo?
I used 1mm for the VRM and 0.5 mm for the VRAM. Measured it beforehand before buying. After receiving, and comparing to existing, the measurements seem correct.
@@rickstechrepairs i think it will good if u show the result after the maintenance activity, for making sure to everyone that what are ur repaired are working well,,, :D
First, that ammount of thermal paste on the gpu procressor lol. And second, you might as well want to change the thermal pads anytime you open the card to apply new paste (every two years more or less). Did you also know that the thermal pads vary in these cards?, in this case the thickness varies from the one used for the VRM and the separated memories. You need 1mm thick on the vram, and 0'5 on the memories. And if you'd truly like to do a maxed out maintenance of your gpu, although I agree these would be a bit far fetched, but hey fans also begin to fail and do noise if not maintained as well, I'd also recommend adding special oil for these fans, previous dissasembly of the fan above of it engine of course. After all these you rightfully have a full maintained/resurrected gpu. And man please, just use a tiny dot for the thermal on the processor. That's just..., laughable.
