The fact he respects their work and input enough to make a comment like that, even if it is joking, shows that he doesn't have a huge ego just because he owns the company. I'm sure alot of his employees are happy, even with the stress of making 7 high quality videos a day like they have been between all the channels. Their setups are insane and very well thought out. All the quality of life changes that they have made to everything is a sign of Linus wanting to make that place the most effecient and comfortable enviroment for this people to pump out all that content as fast as they do. Alot of employers should follow this model. I love how Linus, the owner and boss of the company, is scared of getting in trouble from his staff for leaking things.
This sounds counter intuitive, but thats as it should be.
While joked up for the video that is sign of good management/ownership though. You might own the place but you empowered other people to keep tabs on stuff so that there is always somebody with the power to stop you from ruining things.
Id love to see the office when its fully staffed and working, just to see how all this amazing equipment and staff work together... and to see the real Linus... can any boss be this good? showing respect to employees! lol
I know its a smaller company, but for some companies to pretend they don't have th resources to get their employees necessary equipment for their jobs is pretty sad. Especially when they are making millions of dollars throughout the month. LTT really has came a long way man.
Friendly work space is the reason. They're all friends
I love how almost every employee has more than one monitor. That goes to show how good is when the bosses understand their employees work. My boss refuses to give me an extra monitor for work because he doesn't "understand" why I need a second monitor (I work with video editing).
wha- you poor thing- if I was you I would have brought my own monitor... I even remember in Terran's 4-hour video tutorial he specifically said that you need at least two monitors- I don't know whether to laugh or cry reading this.

I work in software development and we all have a second monitor at work (mostly for having google open on the side to search up code we are supposed to know). I cannot imagine the pain if I had to do my job on one monitor, it would be so frustrating.

Me listening through 1 earbud on a set I got for free on an american airlines flight: Also neat
Wow i watched it also on s7 but mine is edge. And how do you charge that 1 earbud ?
@@Modelo646 it's wired
ah, glad I'm not the only one who kept their free American Airlines earbuds. Hey, free is free!

@@Modelo646 that's adorable "how do you charge that 1 earbud" my dude. Wired buds are hardly that mythical xD
Linus looks like the opposite of the Boss that cut corners and say "deal with it" to his employees. He looks like he genuinely cares in how to make their lives and jobs easier and better
The fact he is buying a tormach when they have adequate milling tools says he puts money back for sure. Idk what machine he is getting but the HAAS unit I bought for my house cost about $40k usd i would guess he will drop a similar amount on his
He looks like he is passionate about what he is doing. He loves making this video content and everything else follows from there.
That's mainly because of Yvonne, such a kind hearted person.
@@ranjanbiswas3233 What? yes Yvonne is nice and probably helps, but "mainly because of Yvonne" is basically an insult directed at Linus.
he explicitly said before, he knows what a "normal" boss looks like, and he dosent want to be that to his employees.
Linus really has invested most of his money back into his company and it shows in this tour
A mill and CNC machine alone are a good chunk of change. Good for him, well deserved.
Unlike say a company like Amazon where Lex Luthor.. mybad.. Bezos could have gave every single employee of his a $125,000 bonus in 2020 and still make a profit...
Linus is better than most, for sure.
@@emperorgizmo3014 Ok woah now sure he is the 2nd riches man but he doesn't have much spending power than Linus since we are talking about billions not tens of thousands
I love the text on the safety metal battery locker, "If time or safety allows, take a picture for social media"
I am just really impressed how you turned a youtube channel in a full-blown company with like 50+ employees
Canada's national tresure
Agreed, crazy how well Linus has structured the company - It wouldn't surprise me if he does white label shoots as the level of equipment they have is AAA standard.
@@KeenJT Don't give Linus too much credit, he's the head, but Yvonne still makes a lot of decisions for Linus, so that he doesn't do stupid stuff alllll the time.
@@landmine36 Hi Yvonne !!
@@landmine36 euhm... isn't that anywhere in the world the same? 😁
Linus: “A proper room for colour grading, for HDR”
the twelve people with HDR monitors watching UA-cam: “noice.”
Meanwhile in New Zealand, in the middle of nowhere using a fiber line to the home.... "Whaka YEAH!"
I'll for sure save some of the more involved videos to watch on my OLED if they are uploading in HDR. The current video uploads already look great on it, so adding HDR will be pretty damn cool.
A lot more than 12 on this channel lol
Everyone with a modern phone will have a hdr display in their pocket. Even the iPhone X from like 2017 has one
Any new high range smartphone has an HDR screen now
I remeber the old days when they used to make their videos in a small house and then moved to the studio and it was a freaking mess with cables, trash and computer parts everywhere.
And now you have this sick studio and a bunch of talented people working hard everyday with you at LTT.
Congrats, to all you guys.
And Luke lived in that small house! It's crazy
Whole Room Water Cooling was one ofthe best series from that house
Just looking at this and remembering the very first days man i am out of words well i am seeing this post after i saw that other post about there new studio my English just doesn't serve me good enough to really showing my appreciation linus you are the best and thank you very much for this awesome awesome years of content creation this is no doubt the best channel ever created i learned alot i laughed alot you guys are the best ❤️❤️❤️
i couldn't fathom the scale on which your company grew until now. mad respect
The fact he build every single one of his employee's computers and knows everyone by name. Man, I have nothing but respect for Linus. He should start his own professional gaming team/league lol, the events he could make would be badass.
Probitional employee G or whatever
Except the probationary employees of course, they don’t really matter to anybody
@@victorlei82 Probationary employee *number* G. 😅
@Aditya Bhattacharya Linus explained you need to be in the company for 1 year to be in videos and longer even if you become a host. So they introduce someone first in background of a video and when someone is more known he or she will shown more.
But there are exceptions like Madison. But she was hired when she was already known on the channel.
Have to clap to how much effort they put into their employees equipment. I've been in so many jobs where you have to do so much with degrading equipment. That I feel genuinely happy that places like this exist.
This comment I believe is underrated. The thing that I like the most about Linus is that while he is demanding from his employees, he is also someone who provides them an opportunity to do what they truly can do. There's ample equipment, people seem to want to work there so I'm pretty sure they're compensated well, the guy running the show is someone who's actually done almost all the things in some capacity and so really understands what his employees going through. Props
Yep, as an IT contractor who has worked for some Fortune 500 bluechip companies that are bound by shareholder value and profit maximisation first ... this looks like heaven.
But I think Linus also asks to deliver. There is no place to hide. Especially like a place like UA-cam.
Not gonna lie, of all the people in that corporation, Alex has the coolest job ever. Not only does he get a chance to express his creativity in a ultra-technological giant of industry, he also has access to absolutely ballin workshop full of any tool he needs to create anything he wants. I'd kill for such a job, just imagine all the absolutely uber cool stuff you can make there.
always love when linus does these behind the scenes. it's great to see how passionate he is for his business and staff(family)
I remember when the "homey look" was unavoidable because the kitchen was the only part of the old house that was free for you and Luke to host videos..
So the Writers' Block is where all the OGs are. All the legends.
I mean not necessarily. Its just that most of them also appear in videos, so are “more famous”. Theres a ton OG editors and camera guys as well.
@@CURTlS The real OGs are the managers. Edzel, Nick Lite, Brandon, Colton, Yvone. and of course Luke runs his own business. The writers are just more recognizable because they show up in videos.
@@xinythi you forgot Taran
