- Patch 10.0.5 gave us the 'Primalist Tomorrow", an event that takes place in the timeline in which the primalists won. This got me thinking...what do we know about the primalists so far? How come they knew so much about the incarnates and basically we ended up with a recap of the story of Dragonflight so far... I HOPE YOU ENJOY!

PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER
>itty bitty living space
"The forbidden bathwater" made me break down mid-fighting (doing the Primalist assault on the Ruby Life Pools quests on an alt, fittingly). Good thing I hadn't pulled too much, cause wow, that was hard to get through
6:54 - "THE FORBIDDEN BATHWATER" That is such a CURSED STATEMENT, nearly killed me!! LMFAO
Just as Zovaal planned!
Argh! Zovaal is poor man’s Aizen.
You could have saved so much time in this video if you just said "It was all part of the Jailer's plan".
I hope there is no Dreadlords involved ……. those jerks are so unbearable
@@MrJara1018 them acting like the smartest person in the room despite one of them getting found out and tortured by the one guy they were trying to manipulate. Most indubitably so.
om emote
Maybe theyll surprise us and reveal that the jailors plan was all part of the primalists plan
“He knew he would be defeated in the sepulcher and set events in motion that would cause his revival”
I would not be surprised if that mind control glove was fashioned from the hand that Tyr lost in the battle against galakrond.
So far I don't think the primalists have much going for them other than being a diet watered down version of the twilight's hammer.Twilight's hammer had a lot more going for them so you wonder why they don't just use that. They may use the void but they had access to the elements to.
I think as players, or as our characters, we actually have an interest to weaken the titan's position. If we presume it to still be correct, that once a titan soul wakes up they effectively destory the planet, well we NEVER want to see Azeroth wake up. It would be cool if the primalists argue along those lines, but I somehow doubt it.
Clear, sticks to the facts, points out gaps in a sensible way, and speculating carefully only using loose ends. Thank you, and congratulations on the new video.
First fan choices in which i agree with all of them, Nice Edit 🔥
Not that this is groundbreaking or if whatever reason you just overlooked it. But inthe Primalist cinematic in the Conflux, if youre a Drac, and youre in your humanoid visage, the bronze dragon(forgetting name atm) will also be in their visage form. Just noticed cause youre in Drac form and so was she. But I clearly remember her being in her human form
I’ll be honest… I woulda preferred the Twilights Hammer over the Primalists. They have more established lore and make more sense. We never got an explanation as to how and when these primalists formed there army.
I think the Twilight's Hammer might factor in later on, but for now they're playing coy about this chain of events eventually resurrecting the Old Gods
The primalists are just a means to an end. Yall can see how dragons are being used to tell a greater cosmological story yea?
Cus fuck it, right?
There is the *very minor* involvement of the Twilight's Hammer in the Waking Shores, basically being behind the formation of the Worldbreaker faction, which is kinda neat imo. Though I guess it also makes sense that they're not much involved with anything since the end of Cataclysm... or BfA for that matter.
Maybe they could show that some Primalists are former members of the Twilight's Hammer Clan, thinking themselves redeemed of their crimes against the elements and now "defending" them in a fundamentalist way, after 5 years of peacefully preaching in favor of Azeroth and the elements (and against the element of order/Titans), but now tired/angry after having been ignored or cast out.
The Primalists are the weakest part of the story. They make no sense, they came out of nowhere, have a huge army and just somehow knew where the Primal Incarnates had been imprisoned for the last 10,000 years on this continent that the Mortals didn't know existed until now.
I'm hoping that there is another big bad (Old God maybe?) behind some of this. Alexstrasza did mention after the raid that Iridikron struck bargins but didn't say with whom those bargins were struck.
Theory: I believe that Iridikron with his affinity towards old gods, will tap into the Yog’saron power and with its connection to Galekrond try and resurrect Raszageth into some form of undeath.
This will shake the trust of other primalists, as they will see him for what he truly is. This might make Iridikron to go even further into madness and force his own kin into service as well.
Possibly similar to how Garrosh went more more mad and against horde ideals, at some point killing those who belong to it.
( Sry for possible name butchering)
Far as we know, unless they do timeywimey stuff with Murozond, Yogg's dead. All of the OGs are currently dead according to current lore; not sure how since two weren't taken out by an Origination Ray nor a Titan directly, but canon's canon
I really want undead Raszageth to join our side. She's too cool to waste so early into the expansion.
@@RrowdyBeast Old Gods canonically cannot be killed. Or at least they couldn't be.
@@MarkoArillius They retcon'd it with the newest (as of now) take. Apparently Yogg and C'thun were taken care of by us, and we used the Reorigination Ray on G'huun and N'zoth
Trust me, I remember the lore beforehand and it made more sense; C'thun and Yogg should still be alive, just pushed back into their prisons. And it could be a lie, a retcon to a retcon that people paid $30+ for because Blizzard just does that these days. And it's most likely the case that the whole traveling to the past and seeing the Old Gods in Ny'alotha during the Black Empire triggered some sort of loop since Void creatures (randomly) live outside of space-time
Like, I'm sure a Black Empire 2: Void Boogaloo's in the works, but it's so messy getting there with so many of the steps not making any sense. But yeah, they were originally too powerful to get killed, but then we went Super Saiyan and the Champion can do whatever, so~
Theory I have: The reason Nozdormu couldn't see the corruption of Deathwing, is because he is the corrupter of Deathwing as Murozond, but because he hasn't done it yet, he couldn't see he will do it.
nah
id prefer to keep the corruption of DW as it is let the old gods have this one lol
From what we know Nozdormu becomes Murozond because he has seen his own future death, so I don't think that theory holds up.
@@dwarfheadhun2482 - Murozond and the Infinite dragonflight are also meant to be aligned with the Old Gods, so while I don't ascribe to the idea it would still work.
@@mokarokas-1727 based on what? the only time i have seen them together is in the end times dungeon where murozond ackowledges that it's horrible but it is better than the alternative.
which just asks the question what is the horrible future so bad that the end of azeroth is preferable.
The Elementals are going crazy. Why can't my Farseer call up the various Elemental Lords on the speed dial he has with them?
the back story of Dragonflights reminds me so much of Thousand Years Blood War arc back story...
Good, we didn't lose you!
Thral is coming back with his powers
Why are there so many Night Elves Primalists anyway? They haven't exactly dabbled in elemental magics like the Tauren have.
Propably blizz intends to make the shaman class available for night elves soon and this is a way for some story background. That NE got involved with shamanism in the last few years.
@@dawoifee I always wondered why there weren't any Night Elves that picked up shamanism (as it, like druidism, is learned). They had close ties with at least 1 race that is shown to be very shamanistic (the furbolgs), so I would assume there were those among them that learned it from them.
EDIT: I do believe that at some point the Primalist faction will splinter, with a bunch of them even becoming allies. This would tie in with getting Night Elves as Shamans.
@@kayschut9327 Largely because of druidism, actually. Druidism is the worship of nature and most animal spirits tend to lean toward nature in story, these days. Shamans are, more and more, elemental only in the story.
@@MarkoArillius Which timeline wise doesn't make for a compelling argument though. The Night Elves were already friendly with the furbolgs before the Sundering if I remember correctly. After the Sundering druidism became more of a thing after arcane magic was shunned (which is why there are high elves and blood elves, as the high elves were basically Highborne night elves that physically changed over generations because of the Sunwell). This would not interfere with the study of shamanism in my opinion, especially if there were those among the night elves that wanted something other than the druidism they were very sceptical of up until that point.
Also I wouldn't wonder to much of kurog grimtotem. He may have died rather abruptly but I'm pretty sure he has the credit of being magatha's student for us to wonder how powerful magatha is without her being in the story.
Like how space marine chapters master are to represent their lost primarch and to wonder what kind of person they must've hailed from.
she was bad compared to kurog lol
considering fyrakk iridikron raszageth and vyranoth are primal primalist elemental air earth fire and water proto-dragon incarnates.
yeah since fyrakk as the primal incarnate of fire control fire heat and lava while iridikron as the primal incarnate of earth control earth raszageth as the primal incarnate of air control wind lightning and storms and vyranoth as the primal incarnate of water control ice and water.
So Alexstrasza didn't have the heart to finish off the Incarnates because they were as close as clutch mates 20 000 years ago, yet she had no problem in finishing off Malygos and Deathwing whome she's been even closer with all those years after the Incarnates were imprisoned and even before....
I mean, she was 20k years older, and hopefully wiser but this point.
Gonna say you are missing the fact this was a fresh Alex lol .
she was probably like a teen in a dragon's life span
By that point the Malygos she was close with really didn't exist anymore
Awesome video I love the narration, keep up the great work 😊
I didnt actually play in legion, and learning about this really makes me mad.
Remember the "Thrall's wild bachelor party" storyline In Cataclysm where he gets abducted from his wedding ceremony and then split into emotional aspects matched with elements? His fire quest had him flipping out, too angry to be reasoned with because "Cairne was like a brother to me."
So you're trying to tell me that the leader of the Earthen ring at the start of the expansion (until it becomes the shaman player character) was just "fine" with the woman who murdered his close friend and ally, the first true friends and guides to the fragile "nobility era" of the Horde as they stepped onto the shores of Kalimdor, would allow she who killed Cairne with subterfuge and tried to storm thunder bluff into their inner circle? Handed the ability to disrupt important events with her esoteric schemes? Gave her full access to the horde and an easy recon method
People who say "blizzard employees dont even play wow" are probably wrong. But they DEFINITELY have not mastered object permanence yet. I mean its only a story involving the cornerstones of the horde in WC3, nothing important or anything. And to spit on that even further, Cairne and Baine never met up in the shadowlands. They had so much material to work with and just botched everything.
Finish your vegetables kids, so you can grow up big and strong and not get stuck working for blizzard.
_Cairne Bloodhoof, Children's week 2007
I do like the idea of the Incarnates starting at a place of "just" disagreeing.
And it is true that the question of who is the villain often comes with what are they doing to reach their goal or preserve their ideas.
So far, the story is interesting and well done overall. I am curious if it will hold up in the future patches.
I prefer the villains have some reasoning. Evil just vor evils sake, in my opinion, is not enough.
@@dawoifee Evil for evils sake can be fun if done right, but in a world with as much lore it is way better to have grey~ish tones.
@@Rakshiir It can be done well I assume, but it is not my cup of tea tough.
But I don't want to trash this conept entirly, for those who like it anf find joy in it I'm happy for.
10.1 - we will come full circle with the aspects and likely deal with, but not kill, fire and ice dragons. Somehow, they will be swayed. Which will then lead to the earth dragon and his hunger, Eben potentially big Gally too (somehow). Which will then lead into 10.2 and dealing with the start of the void invasion through shadow deathwing as the anchor to azeroth for the void. Leading to world of warcraft: void zone
Because they didn't fail hard enough with the Void in 8.3, I guess...
Calling it now, the writing forgot or are choosing to ignore the Shaman story from Legion.
Yeah, like where the hell is the Earthen Ring during all of this? You'd think they would be the first ones called up to deal with elemental shenanigans.
@@Dannihilate A bunch of Earthen npcs are on the isle if you find em , but its the dragons story not theres tbh
And more importantly
WHERE THE HELL ARE THE ELEMENTAL LORDS!?
Argh! You would also think thrall, THE MOST KNOWN shaman in WoW, would also lend some aid, seeing as he still has his elemental connection after shadowlands (which I still find dumb that he lost his connection, but just suddenly had it back with no explanation)
@@Cook-by-the-book Imagine if the Scions forgot they had an airship or how tempering worked. Thats the kind of writing we are dealing with.
I love when you say "Hello everyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeee" xD
What kind of idiot thinks locking a rival up for thousands of years will bring peace between themselves and the rival they locked up.... W...T...F...?!?!
But heres where im torn and i dont think the creative team would delve this deep, but what if every planet was "capable" of being a "titan". Meaning that all planets were all susceptible to being corrupted, whether old god/titan/etc. Now 1 of 2 things could be said. Either Azeroth is truly some hidden gem to these greater forces. OR 2, We just so happen to be this middle ground, this infusion of borrowing elements/aspects/affinities, who are not only a middle ground for these bigger opposing factions, but we ourselves are proving to be an upcoming force of our own. And no what the different interpretations we see of the cosmology map, were always speculating bout this "5th/6th(minds blanking rn) Force". But what's always consistent? We are at the center of the map ALWAYS. Could Azeroth might just be the embodiment of this 5th force?
"Most likely a tree" I damn well hope so
i kinda stumbeled accros the experiments and the different types of elements.
The major point why i text you on this way, is the question about the elemental Plain and lords of Spirit and decay.
4 out of 6 elements listed on the cosmic spreadsheet already got those. Ragnaros and the firelands, therazane and deepholm.. do you know what i mean? therefore we're missing 2 major elements and right now were starting to explore those too more ingame. Maybe this is a thought or idea for a video of yours, i thought its a very intersting thought.
My standing theory about the elements on Azeroth is that Xalatath was the "elemental lord" of spirit but was drained of her power by Azeroth (albeit unintentionally). She spent years basically being a punching bag to the other 4 lords and joined the Old Gods in hope of gaining power to get back at them, and perhaps even Azeroth. Of course, this wild ass theory i pulled outta my hind-quarters and will probably NEVER be true.
I think you missed a huge history changing line between the Razigath and Alextraza where Razigath blames lifebinder for calling the Titans in the first place
? I sure did, where does she say this?
Notice how Iridicrond didn’t care that Razagath was dead.
"Many of you will die. But that is a sacrifice...
Im willing to make.
~Iridikron maybe 🤷♀️
Dang he's harsh
5th element you say? Muuuuuullllttttiiiiiipaaaaassssss?
So how to the Primalists feel about drawing their strength from a giant Titan egg? Are they like FlatEarthers?
So how do* Darnit lol
Basic physics proves the earth is stationary. If the earth was a spinning ball no plane would be able to land on a n/s runway. It would rip the plane apart.
Not to mention NASA and the air industry do not take into account the earth moving in their math
@@deusvult6920 Not sure if serious
@@Nagoragama must be a joke
The elements exist independently from the Titan inside the planet, and they draw strength from those elements.
*primalist talking to buddy* "bro remember when the elements controlled the world and we had perpetual war? man those were the days this peace thing aint for me"
Didn't they say we should know the final boss of DF by the end of Vault of the Titans? Does that mean it will be Iridikron?
If so, I hope they step up developing him. Right now all we have is characters saying he's really dangerous and bad but not giving us any examples.
We don't know yet, most likely Iridikron at his most powerful will be a penultimate adversary, maybe evolved into another Galakrond. Which seems like it'd be a big deal, but they might do like some xpacs and spring something new and crazy to lead into the next expansion, and it's seeming to be something Old God-related (if some general speculation turns out right)
they said during the expension never they said we will know by the end of the vault lol
Am I the only one who can't find Neptulon in the Black Empire part? I was even looking for him when I did the quest xD
Didn't Alex and Ysera have a brother, too? Another dragon aspect in the oceans or something like that?
So what you're basically saying is that RAFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM THE SUPREME ARCHEOLOGIST was like...15 steps ahead of any of these chumps by just reviving Galakrond itself to cleanse the world?
I do like the start here but, knowing what Blizzard is now, I will not trust it or pay for it. I am glad you are watching and still making story videos though, the only thread I had extreme difficult time weaving into any sort of usable story was Galakgrond and the aspects as we knew so little about them.
It actually fits incredibly well now with my own story because Yogg'Saron was the first being on Azeroth to open the path to death and get in contact with the Jailer in my version as he took a heavy loss and was searching for a power beyond the void to better aid him. All I need to do is move his experimenting from where I had him in Northrend to the dragon isles. I'm also overjoyed because his humanoid race that I was building when I still was trying to integrate it with Blizzard's works even better as, although Yogg'Saron cannot connect to the Shadowlands, he could have experimented with modified mortal souls to figure out where they were going which allows me to better explain why he would have humanoid beings leading his followers as the Shath'Yar in my story.
Still, how I'm going to get the story out there is gonna be a problem, not that I wouldn't love to but I am an awful visual artist so I can't show what I picture in my mind and I know little of how to create content like this. I also have new schooling that will likely take up time and a career after that. Still, thank you Nobbel, without you and your content I would never have become invested in the world of Azeroth as I had and none of this experience, even bittersweet as it is, would be possible.
Thank you, I'll never stop watching
The problem is that Death and Void are direct enemies (the Sylvanas comic back in BfA touched on it, and some of the SL questlines has Void interfering with the Shadowlands directly as enemies). Granted it could be an undercover alliance, but the OGs and the Shadowlands wouldn't work together off of general principle because of their grand scheme anti-relationship
@@RrowdyBeast Yes I am very aware of that. I am also aware that Yogg was one of the most deceptive and least faithful to the void's mission. The narubians were the only Aqir descendants who held no allegiance to the void and actually aborhored the faceless ones sealing them away and instead focused on art and culture. On to of that, Saronite, his own blood has deep connections with the scourge and undead on Azeroth to the point where Icecrown Citadel which was revealed to be designed after torgast which makes it the Jailer's was literally constructed of almost pure saronite. Also, one of his taunts was showing us the torment of Bovar at the hands of the Lich King indicating he was at least party to it.
If any of the four old gods of Azeroth, Yogg would be the one who would both see the merit in diversifying power and possibly even betraying the void itself if it meant him gaining more power. Also, the Yogg I have doing this research is one who recently lost a great battle and was seriously wounded, he made this connection to the Jailer at this point in time but only drew on his power. It was only after he witnessed Y'shiraaj's death by the hand of Amanthul that he actually moved from a transactional to a more allied position with him. This, by the way, is also how the void became aware of Zovaal's true plans ahead of schedule and why they were able to warn Alleria with such certainty. The void can see all possible futures but never know which is happening specifically until they reach it.
just realized that wow its reciling same plot but with different npc names, so sad to see wow go for me

What's the point, when Blizard will remake or fully ignore it in next expansion ? Plus "It was all part of the Jailer's plan".
… primalist are all about that primal power, they don’t like Titans power …. They are drawing from the natural forces of the planet, the same planet which is in fact a Titan. Possibly the most titan, Titan to ever titan……
It's so hard to be invested in wow's story when we barely know some things about these new villains, why can't we have a short story line expanding on the currently released dragons instead of having to wait 6 months until we get a long story line shedding detail on the current raid and the final boss.
Imagine if blizz did another round of the stylistic cinematics like they did in WoD for these 3 (maybe 4 with Razzageth too)
I would feel for the primalists if they werent playing right into old god hands... or, uh. Tentacles, rather.
Am I the only one who finds it weird that Neltharion's visage form was a human even all the way back then? Humans shouldn't have existed yet, only their Vrykul ancestors. So maybe Nozdormu had a bigger part to play in how Neltharion's fate turned out, dealing with time and all.
Actually they got those form exactly for Nozdormu telling them the races that will live on Azeroth in the future or something
By their own lore in Dawn of the Aspects the protodragons were too stupid to form complex sentences and were much smaller then the reformed aspects. They were too dumb and weak to pose a threat to the dragonflights, let alone the world, how did sitting in jail for thousands of years change that?.
Certainly the Pandren who have made peace with such horrible destructive forces in their history will aid us with their wisdom. No? Well okay then. We'll just put them with Baine sitting on the floor for another expansion.
Where are our shamans in this? Where is the earthern Ring?
Where was the Element of Decay?
Propably was Galakrond, so he is already dead.
So many questions? Will they be answered? Will the dragons learn the truth? or will Blizzard $h!t the bed?
Didn’t the elements were killing the planet with there war? I thought it said something about that in Warcraft before World of Warcraft.
Multiple eyes is a old god thing so im wonderin what plans the old gods have for the dragons? And that Sire Denathrius and his peopel have in planed sins they and the old gods want everything to unfold in a verry specific way.

Im kinda rooting for both sides lol
I really would have dug this had the last two expansions not happened. You tell it well but too late for me. Blizzard broke what good will and trust they had. Expect this to go south as well sooner or later with some really contrived telling.
Theory: the elements are empowered BECAUSE of the jolt of Spirit energy that surged through the land when the rift into the shadowlands was opened. This could also explain why Razegath was the first to awaken since here element of Air was probably the most quickly affected with spirit energy.
This also ties into my next theory: the element of Decay also received an enormous amount, if not the most, of the spirit energy that ebbed out of control both from the rift and from the millions of souls that likely perished int eh aftermath of the Lich King’s armies rampaging on Azeroth.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Agatha, and that Matriarch Gnoll shaman from the new dungeon, make an appearance at some point as major shamans that follow the edicts of Decay
Also, since we know that Decay, comes from Undead, and Spirit comes from Life, then it stands to reason that Life would oppose and be used to correct this imbalance on Azeroth. In other words: in order to restore Order more life must exist to ‘consume’ the spirit energies that are surging throughout Azeroth and to stop placate the elements who are being overwhelmed with all that energy seeping into the world, and by extension the world Soul.
I can see this playing out with us restoring a massive world tree. The seed is a bond between Undead and Spirit so if we where to plant it then it would likely restore balance to the energies on Azeroth as it grows, since it will consume massive amounts of spirit energy and be a massive boon towards correcting all the life lost in the BfA’s aftermath.
This could also tie into the green Dragonflight’s story and why the Primalists where so keen on making sure that seed did not take root, they would have probably liked to use it to create a world tree aligned with Undeath/Decay or see it’s power drained of Soul-energy to further their powers.
On the subject of the Drgonflights: it’s likely that the end-story for the Green’s will end with Ysera returning to the afterlife, and the Night elves taking up their new tree, and thus Merithra will be the new aspect and in defending the world from Undeath and in defense of Life the Green’s new purpose under their New Aspect will likely shift focous away from the Dream and towards correcting the balance of the land through nature and healing magic.
We also know that 2 Incarnates releases are those of Fire and Ice, so, isn’t it convenient how we have 2 massive towers, one in a volcano and one in a frozen tundra, and 2 aspects still coming into their own? I suspect that 2 of these incarnates will be story Fodder to see the Blues and the black dragon flights’ new aspects regain their strength, they will either seal away or destroy these incarnates and empower themselves using these towers somehow.
All of this is jsut speculation and a layman’s hypothesis but I would love to see what you all think about my theories.
Also wanted to add that I wouldn’t be surprised if the benefactor of the incarnates newfound powers is actually an old god using the energies of undeath and the corpse of Galakrond as some macabre puppet to whisper into the ears of the primals. This old God could be one of the ones we thought we dealt with just also empowered with spirit or reanimated through Undead/decay magics.
It could also be some sort of quasi void-lord and Sire Denathrius shenanigans as they use the all these energies violently flowing into Azeroth to speed up her awakening or to suppress it for their own goals, one thinking they’re tricking the other all while Silvanas/Jailer 2 Electic-boogaloo are playing fifth dimensional chess with all of us from some Originator rogue robot 4th wall break story hole Ai expansion we’ll have to deal with in the future.
Can we really be sure that azeroth is a baby titan? Imo that is perhaps another titan propaganda. I have a suspicion that azeroth is a potential... powerful thing. Its just that the titans were able to eradicate all other forces trying to take control and are pushing for it to go the titan path. Instead of say, the void lord path.
Ugh, the tonality is a bit annoying 😭 kinda hard to hold out.
Did they ever explain why razegeth was not locked up with the others. I mean kinda odd three of them were locked up way more secure than one of them
Because the writing for the Dracthyr starting zone demanded it, I imagine.
@@HiddenEvilStudios I mean like an actual reason. Don't get me wrong they had to start the expansion somehow. But still seems off that one of the primalists are just chilling by themselves in a pretty easy place to be released when the other 3 are essentially in a high security prison

The Titans have been lying about everything!
The Primalists make really no sense. How did they form? Where did they come from? How long have they been building? And how is it that they got to the Isle so fast? And I know we're just seeing the Incarnates at the tail end of their conflict but it just looks like they are acting more like they are out of jealously than anything else.
Argh! Wheres the earthen rings or the shamans of the order hall, or even the elemental lords are at during all this?
Shouldn’t they be concerned about a group of fanatic using the elements to reshape the land to a more primalistic and savage place?
