Even when she strove to secure their survival, it was only in order to prevent her eternal damnation by having them be her 'bulwark against the infinite'. And even if she really DID care about her people's future, I don't think that absolves her of the callous and brutal actions she committed during Warcraft 3 - wanting to protect your people is good, but not if you put everyone else on the chopping block to do so.

He died on alt draenor. Even the mythic only phase that isn't where he dies. He dies in the cinematic that plays upon his defeat.
Hey man I doubt you will see this but I thought something while watching your latest video. With the upcoming shadowlands expansion isn’t it very likely that the jailor is linked to the old gods or even the void/ shadow itself. We don’t know how long sylvannas has been in contact with him so isn’t it reasonable for her to have been in contact from the start. She is the one who is pivotal for ruining many of the burning legions plans. She has powers which no other banshee has, I mean she literally possessed her dead body and has been able to sustain it completely and then she starts using shadows itself. She has been in contact with the jailor since her death and has no doubt planned many times to free him or further his influence. There is so much that his involvement in her story would fill.
A weird question,if he was tryin to summon the big boss in undercity without books or wells or anything, does that mean some strong dreadlord can go in some corner noone cares about and summon sargeras or an army without a care?
why would Varimathras try summoning Sargeras if he was on Denathrius and the Jailer's side all along, wouldn't it make more sense for him to wait until Sylvanas became warchief and side with her once she started working for the jailer ?? i honestly don't think he's defected from Denathrius but w/e .. i know Blizzard is pulling all the story moving forward out of their .... creativity

I want to hear ner'zul talking to the dreadlords about malganis Lich king voice:No please dont punish me master,it won't happen again, ill be a good boy
I feel like they used the titan soul to resurrect demons that died in the twisting neather or areas infused with fell. That's why despite killing so many on Argus, they would keep poring out of antorous. Then any that don't die in those areas just resurrect like normal. That's how I like to think about it.
i hope they dont kill her make her un killable villian i mean she has the very big built up as lore wise after illidan she is my favorite specially with her war tacts in bfa xD
WHEN does Varimathras give that speech in Antorus?? I've ran that dungeon several times on all difficulties and have NEVER heard him say that speech. I only know it exists from data mining. Has anyone actually heard it in-game??
Which one? The one from the alliance seeds of downfall is the audio i grabbed during recording him in antorus on alliance char. Haven't gone in on horde char but imagine hide of bones plays when they engage him.
It plays whenever you approach his room. Both Alliance and Horde lines play there once you jump down to his prison. It might not play if you are using stuff like stealth or invisibility but I am pretty sure it still works!
Arthas was a death knight then. When he got the helm, he was together with nerz'hul and then the lich king. :D At that time were he killed sylvanas, he got only frostmourne.
"When your holy places burn" (teldrassil) "when the shattered mask hangs above your hearth" maybe the shattered mask refers to Helm of Domination and hearth (home).. actually azeroth ? this was planned al along as a passage for shadowlands ?
The script for shadowlands has been in dev since early mop i assume. 2014-2015ish. Just like wrath of the lich king story was in dev when vanilla wow went live. Blizzard kinda wrap a story for years before going live
Cautiously optimistic is my approach to Shadowlands. Try not to hope for anything, because that's just more potential for disappointment. Wait and see what the alpha and beta brings. I'd even advise you not to preorder if you haven't yet.
Same here! With the Lich King's helmet destroyed, what will the scourge do? Rebuild their army piece by piece until they take over everything and wipe out all of azeroth? I fear Blizz will turn the scourge into the weakest looking army ever and just say "oh the armies of azeroth are just stronger now than before and they can take care of the scourge easily now." -.-; The story made it seem so important to keep the scourge controlled and make sure there is always a lich king holding them back, but now the king is defeated... sooo... yeah!
I use to love Sylvanas. She was so strong and willing to do anything for her new and old people. I know she's got a deeper plan to mess with the jailer but... I dunno.. her evilness has just gotten too evil
You think the holy places didn't burn in battle for azeroth? I seem to recall a really big really important tree being burned to the ground. Pretty sure the night elves thought it was quite significant to them culturally. Otherwise I'm not sure what Tyrande is all butthurt about.
BTW, did illidan bring argus next to azeroth or azeroth to argus. If latter the demons were killed in twisting nether and they are dead, if he brought argust next to azeroth they are not dead since azeroth isn't in the twisting nether. Am I right?
Despite the dubious graphical effect that makes it look like Argus and Azeroth was brought close together, it's actually just a giant portal in the sky. They should've kept the red outline in the sky to clarify that. When the portal was closed a small red "star" remained in the sky, the one we can still see now.
Holy shit I just realized this. Varaimathus was betraying the Forsaken to kill the Lich King. Most likely to destroy the Helmet right then and there for his Master. Damn another easter egg hint RIGHT IN FRONT US. Damnit Blizz I love the Shadowlands Lore so much lol
does anyone know where the twisting neather is? is it just the name for outer space? is it a planet called the twisting neather. that always confused me and i feel like iv never been able to get an answer...
I really genuinely think they excluded Varimathras from Legion on purpose. I think Sargeras placed Varimathras somewhere, OR the Nathrezim have always been double agents for the Void, seeing as how it was a Nathrezim, on an Old God dominated planet that corrupted Sargeras. Hopefully he shows up in Shadowlands.
Correction: he wasn't excluded from Legion; the Antorus raid is what Legion ended on. And also Sargeras wasn't "corrupted" in the way the term is used in Warcraft, it was in full control of himself the entire time.
That makes way more sense. ^^ Mal'Ganis WAS summoned to Azeroth on the Broken Shore, though (when Gul'dan piled up all the baddies so we had to flee). Anything after that is fair game for speculation.
I wonder how Varimathras would interact with Nathanos. Him being the love interest of Sylvanas while Varimathras was with her from early on. He would probably troll him by saying "I know her better then you ever will. All those years of going over plans, among other things. She has a lot of spirit that one." He'll probably come back if the fans want it enough, Blizzard already ruined the lore with Light Undead so having a Dreadlord soul in Shadowlands wouldn't be too much stretch nowadays.
@@Amandor2011 True but Varimathras was with her when she was at her most vengeful. Nathanos knew her when she was alive and mellow and from Cata onwards when she became what we know her as now. The time when she and Varimathras were partners was when she was at her most raw, who knows how many plans they made together before his betrayal. Varimathras would use that to troll Nathanos and his love for Sylvanas.
What I don’t get is why varathras is a coward on Azeroth, he’s not in the twisting nether so he wouldn’t die and the dreadlord world isn’t blown up yet

They been talking since the end of Wrath
man,I forgot Varimathras' lines about Sylvanas,it gives me the chills
”the shattered mask” well we know what that is now, we know what the betrayal thing is now, we know what ”holy places burning” means now
''Yes, hello? No I- for the last time, I am a DREADlord not a DRUGlord!''
Wait, I never knew that Varimanthas gave us hints already?
LMAO?!
Especially that word Throne of Hide and Skull=Orgrimmar's Warchief Throne.
A weird question,if he was tryin to summon the big boss in undercity without books or wells or anything, does that mean some strong dreadlord can go in some corner noone cares about and summon sargeras or an army without a care?
I applaud you for refusing to use Reforged cutscenes.
why would Varimathras try summoning Sargeras if he was on Denathrius and the Jailer's side all along, wouldn't it make more sense for him to wait until Sylvanas became warchief and side with her once she started working for the jailer ?? i honestly don't think he's defected from Denathrius but w/e .. i know Blizzard is pulling all the story moving forward out of their .... creativity
Yep, this hapoens when you throw out all og blizz metalhead employees and replace them with gen z people who don't know which toilet to choose and never understood vanilla lore. Kek
I want to hear ner'zul talking to the dreadlords about malganis
Lich king voice:No please dont punish me master,it won't happen again, ill be a good boy
19:41 Is this Tobirama's voice actor or?
Nice vid.
Also WC3 Refunded PTSD. Pls Nobbel
Where does Varimathras say those lines at 24:00? I've done Antorus a hundred times and never heard that before.
The demon’s source of resurrection being unclear is a shitty cop out. The nether either respawns them or Argus did not “feel free to speculate.”
i just figured out who the jailer reminds me of in the trailer!
he looks something like the Father of Arthas only a little more decked out in gear
I feel like they used the titan soul to resurrect demons that died in the twisting neather or areas infused with fell. That's why despite killing so many on Argus, they would keep poring out of antorous. Then any that don't die in those areas just resurrect like normal. That's how I like to think about it.
That makes a lot of sense.
I hope we see Mal'ganis in Shadowlands. His fate was never confirmed ;)
He was on the Burning Shore
25:09 only now I realized she did not just upgrade her powers.
Varimathras surely new that his brothers will get reborn in the nether.
Is Teldrissal considered a holy place? :O "Your holy places will burn..."
yes, to the Night Elves. Also, Zul did set fire to Stormwind Cathedral, although there was no permanent damage.
Sylvannas’s cutscenes are so iconic it’s a shame we didn’t get to see them in their new glory for reforged :(
i hope they dont kill her make her un killable villian i mean she has the very big built up as lore wise after illidan she is my favorite specially with her war tacts in bfa xD
@@ahmedsiddique2998 fuck her she's getting old and annoying as fuck.
I'm confused. When Arthas killed Sylvanas, he wasn't the Lich King yet??
Arthas was a death knight then. When he got the helm, he was together with nerz'hul and then the lich king. :D At that time were he killed sylvanas, he got only frostmourne.
Thrones run with blood -Rastakan
Holy places burn- Teldrassil
Broken mask- Helm of Domination
I think Blizz will retcon Dreadlords, them being from Shadowlands.
Lekker filmpie hoor
What happened with the part about the alliance, who betrayed who??
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer... Lady Sylvanas in TBCC.
Triple agent Varimathras
Not sure if it is the accent but I thought the video speed was on 1.25x. I keep checking my options every few minutes
"When your holy places burn" (teldrassil)
"when the shattered mask hangs above your hearth" maybe the shattered mask refers to Helm of Domination and hearth (home).. actually azeroth ? this was planned al along as a passage for shadowlands ?
Or perhaps voljins mask which is shown hanging by some braziers in grommash hold
Shattered mask is just Sylvanas' or Forsaken sigil anyway.
The script for shadowlands has been in dev since early mop i assume. 2014-2015ish. Just like wrath of the lich king story was in dev when vanilla wow went live. Blizzard kinda wrap a story for years before going live
What is that animation at 2:50 ? I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Where can I find that?
Shadowlands better be worth all the this build up.
It won't be.
I'd start lowering your expectations now honey.
Cautiously optimistic is my approach to Shadowlands. Try not to hope for anything, because that's just more potential for disappointment. Wait and see what the alpha and beta brings. I'd even advise you not to preorder if you haven't yet.
just 1 i wanna see in the next Exp. that is motherf** Broxxigar!!!
Broxigar is already done I think
Don't you think the Nathrezim have relations to the Venthyr and Castle Nathria? Maybe that race originated from the Shadowlands.
Not bad.
Still wondering how they are going to handle the scourge going out of control.
Same here! With the Lich King's helmet destroyed, what will the scourge do? Rebuild their army piece by piece until they take over everything and wipe out all of azeroth?
I fear Blizz will turn the scourge into the weakest looking army ever and just say "oh the armies of azeroth are just stronger now than before and they can take care of the scourge easily now." -.-;
The story made it seem so important to keep the scourge controlled and make sure there is always a lich king holding them back, but now the king is defeated... sooo... yeah!
I use to love Sylvanas. She was so strong and willing to do anything for her new and old people. I know she's got a deeper plan to mess with the jailer but... I dunno.. her evilness has just gotten too evil
5:38 inhale at it’s finest timing.
Am I the only one that "watches" these while playing WoW and pretty much no other time? **edited, bit of dyslexia there
I watch whilie playing but i also put Nobbel on in the backround while i sleep
@@castin7918 well at least you don't watch him while touching yourself :P
@@jaratt85 bold of you too assume my life choices
@@castin7918 well, fuck
Oh yes, these make mountfarming (running through old raids) fly by. :)
You think the holy places didn't burn in battle for azeroth?
I seem to recall a really big really important tree being burned to the ground.
Pretty sure the night elves thought it was quite significant to them culturally.
Otherwise I'm not sure what Tyrande is all butthurt about.
The World Tree, Nordrassil?
BTW, did illidan bring argus next to azeroth or azeroth to argus. If latter the demons were killed in twisting nether and they are dead, if he brought argust next to azeroth they are not dead since azeroth isn't in the twisting nether. Am I right?
Despite the dubious graphical effect that makes it look like Argus and Azeroth was brought close together, it's actually just a giant portal in the sky. They should've kept the red outline in the sky to clarify that. When the portal was closed a small red "star" remained in the sky, the one we can still see now.
@@RileyRivalle2 Oooh, so Ol'Varrie is dead, duh duh duuuh
He should be! But I don't trust the writing team to be consistent anymore. :D
Any idea when Shadowlands will come to the PTR?
Holy shit I just realized this. Varaimathus was betraying the Forsaken to kill the Lich King. Most likely to destroy the Helmet right then and there for his Master. Damn another easter egg hint RIGHT IN FRONT US. Damnit Blizz I love the Shadowlands Lore so much lol
Sylvanas’s loa is pretty cool
does anyone know where the twisting neather is? is it just the name for outer space? is it a planet called the twisting neather. that always confused me and i feel like iv never been able to get an answer...
Sir nobbel can you make a full lore on Thrall?
I really genuinely think they excluded Varimathras from Legion on purpose. I think Sargeras placed Varimathras somewhere, OR the Nathrezim have always been double agents for the Void, seeing as how it was a Nathrezim, on an Old God dominated planet that corrupted Sargeras. Hopefully he shows up in Shadowlands.
Correction: he wasn't excluded from Legion; the Antorus raid is what Legion ended on. And also Sargeras wasn't "corrupted" in the way the term is used in Warcraft, it was in full control of himself the entire time.
@@RileyRivalle2 whoops, wrong Nathrezim. I totally meant to say Mal'ganis!
Nathanos already has been with her for much longer time, he went to the Undercity in Cata so it's like 5 expantions compared to 3 with Varimathras
Amandor that’s not even including the time they spent together when they were both alive either. Nathanos knows slyvanas fairly well
@@Amandor2011 True but Varimathras was with her when she was at her most vengeful.
Great video!
I wish you would use the Reforged cutscenes instead of these old pixelfests though.
What I don’t get is why varathras is a coward on Azeroth, he’s not in the twisting nether so he wouldn’t die and the dreadlord world isn’t blown up yet
