I hope Season 4 offers a way for players to catch up on KP. Depending on the professions you chose, some are literally twice as easy to max as others. That said, one thing the video did not mention was trial characters. You can use trial characters to gain five sparks, then have that character put in up to five crafting orders with your crafting characters. That will guarantee you the ability to get your skill maxed, and also earn all the KP possible from first time crafts that require sparks. Extra mettle that you have on your alts can be used to put in crafting orders for things like random profession tools and other items that require mettle but may not be usable by the character putting in the request. As a bonus, if you are using trial characters, be sure to use a character that could equip the items being ordered so you unlock the transmog as well. Because the items are soulbound, the xmog is unlocked immediately despite the character not being 70.
Amazing video. As a new player I find it overwelming the amount of information realated to professions but your videos make it simple and understendable. Thank you!
For the first time in wow I have ditched my professions down to the over-bloated & excessive hoop-jumping. I don't even bother looking at mat lists as the order stations and the outright lunacy of the whole system just put me off crafting outright. The whole system has sucked the fun out of crafting.
I think it’s wild because it’s the first time that I actually cared about my professions. As long as I have played, there was no reason to engage with professions because gear would get outdated, no impact in dungeons, and boring as heck to level. In SL, all of my characters only had Engineering so I can use the AH and the portal thingy. In BFA, I had a couple of things but stopped leveling the professions after seeing how annoying and boring it was to level. In Legion, I only finished Blacksmithing and Leatherworking maxed because I wanted some mounts and drums. The DF version has problems but man, it feels good to use my professions for more than Alchemy or maybe Enchanting.
I've felt the same way however I recently discovered how easy it is to just spend gold getting mats and using the crafting orders system rather than craft my own stuff. It's still ridiculous and I hope they don't try this crap again
I don’t understand why it’s time gated. Rather some recipes are gotten through profession quest lines like in legion. Don’t bother with professions anymore the fun has been taken out for myself.
Another point for the darkmoon faire: even if maxed in DF professions(100/100) it gives knowledge points in for DF and skill points in a previous expansion
Also a good way to keep track of the stuff is a tracking addon. Can’t remember what it call but it track world maps thing when it near so as you’re traveling it will pop up with a loud noise saying “oh you’re near the item!” And you can click on the addon to target it for faster route.
I completely forgot about doing the stuff in Loamm, guess I know what my weekend will look like now. Finally hopefully polish off mining so I can start getting a heap of mats
Well you missed out on the weeklies, but you will catch up in time if you keep farming every week along with renowns, treasures etc. We aren’t getting a new expansion till probably next fall so you’ve got time!
@@AndrikatsGames ok thanks, that makes sense! But for me professions would be there to make gold and until i can start making gold like everyone else, i need to do weekly stuff etc. to catch up to others who already have this. Doesnt that take 2 or more months? Is there a statistic to see how long it would take to be on the same like others?
Hey I might be a bit late to answer this but get the craftssim addon and see a UA-cam video on how it works it will help show you what items are profitable to craft
It will take you about 52-54 weeks (a year) to get fully maxed out knowledge points if you do everything needed every week. By that point, we'll be nearing the end of the expansion, likely already into The War Within.
@@BakedHotdog yes but, if you are looking just to craft(only the bis) items of the patch it will take 3-4 weeks to make it all and even less for the case of a few proffs
If you talk with another player who still has it installed, they can share it with you and you can use it. I have seen a couple other trackers, but none of them appear to be fully updated or as detailed.
There's a "Haldu's Dragonflight Helper" WA now. I installed it today and it looks like it has the profession weeklies, but I don't think it's a replacement for Tama's Dragonflight Helper just yet. Also, Tama's WA works, just without the professions unfortunately.
It's a shame the knowage point books for Mettle are one off purchases... I've about 3k Mettle on all my characters that I dunno what to do with. I've bought all the point books and patterns (that I've found). I did hope that there was a way to trade them for Flight stones or something. :(
Advertise on Trade channel that you're willing to craft things with your own mettle for a competitive fee/commission. Lots of players will be very happy to supply you with all the reagents except the mettle for certain crafts, and some crafts take 300 mettle, so your 3k mettle will be pretty much finished in just 10 crafts of those!
I quit WOW at the beginning of Warlords and came back in October. I always loved professions but was lost in Dragonflight. I found many guides that were of no help, and then I found yours. It took me 3 hours to watch because your video would tell me something I didn't know, so I'd pause it and go do that. After doing it, I'd resume the video and learn something new, pause, and go do that. By the time I was done I had collected over 70 knowledge points for mining/jewelcraafting and am now armed with the knowledge to collect more every week. Many, many thanks to you!@@AndrikatsGames
SO am I correct in assuming that we get 2 profession quests per week from a pool of NPC's in Valdrakken and that the quests are random? So we might get 1 from Magnolia and then another from Gnoklin 1 week and then 2 from different npc's the next week etc?

I came back to WoW after 2 years off, & wowzers... I'm overwhelmed by how much has changed, especially having many alts. Thanks for the video
Glad I could help you ease back into wow ;)
Imagine me being back after 5 years. Being completionist doesn't help 😅
Amazing video. As a new player I find it overwelming the amount of information realated to professions but your videos make it simple and understendable. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback! 😊
Hate how its tied to weekly time gates.

100% agree. Any crafting items that get in my bags just waste space. Always liked professions but not this!

So you can keep your subscription for Bobby's new yacht

Immensely helpful....thanx!
really really good guide, very easy to understand.

How to you get Ponzo to sell stuff for dragonflight supplies?
You miss earned a sub! Thank you for this simple yet amazing guide! Keep them going! Watching more as I write this comment :-)
Thanks for the sub!
But still its time gated if i start now with profession? Im far behind others cause i can only get a certain amount per week, or am i wrong?

Amazing video. I literally took notes and made a list with everything I need to do. Thanks!!
Is there another weekly profession lootable tracker? Looks like Tama disabled their weak aura
