Brilliant."What are you hungry for?" When we ask what our needs really are, we can meet them in ways we haven't known before. Thank you so much for speaking about food, weight, and the struggles we have when we disconnect from our true selves. So powerful.

Thank you for this important reminder of the psychology behind our food needs, wants, fears, and wishes. Food is not just a substance, but can represent so much about our inner needs and wants. Wanting comfort food can be a way of expressing the wish to be comforted. Thank you for this valuable reminder to be curious about what we're truly hungry for, so that we can nurture our souls and minds, instead of filling our stomachs.

    Bravo Adrienne! 👏👏👏
I love how insightful you are about emotional hunger and the role of self-soothing.
I’m a psychologist & specialize in eating disorders and emotional eating. More patients (and MDs) need to be aware of this pertinent information in order to stop the binge-restrict/diet hamster wheel & give themself the space and permission of self-acceptance, self-love and healing. Thank you for what you do.

Great talk and insights. I can tell that you have not heard of Anna Lembke’s book The Dopamine Nation. Your talk is missing talking about the dopamine pathway, and the importance of allowing the dopamine level to be reset. If you listened to Andrew Huberman and Anna Lembke’s video, you’d notice that the two nonJews are promoting observing Shabboth the Orthodox way to obtain mental health and more.
