Fixed KTM 390 Adventure LOW end PROBLEM

- We Just REPLACED two parts on our KTM 390 Adventure and the Low End Torque Problem is fixed for ever.
The fuel pipe is a new pipe from brand itself for KTM 390 Adv, its same diameter bent pipe which was earlier forcefully bent foe which the pipe was blocking fuel supply sometimes.
The software update was just dor quick shifter.

Unfortunately KTM India is the only entity of the company that is identifying and correcting this issue. KTM is still unresponsive to the rest of its world market customers who have purchased this bike. My friend has just bought one in Southern California and we have confirmed already that this bent fuel pipe is present. It is easily noticed if you know what to look for and I thank all of you You Tubers of India for video documenting the issue so that we can find it early on our bikes and try to get KTM interested in fixing it!
I started watching your video from yesterday as I was interested in 390 Adv
The reason you were facing the issue with the stalling and stopping under 2000 rpm is bcz
When rpm drops below 2000 the fuel p/ p pressure drops as interegerated p/p drops as well and the old stock pipe which was not designed to keep that in mind, the old pipe I think has larger volume and sharper bend,further reducing fuel pres and therefore less fuel for ignition hence stopping of engine but as you rev up you Inc fuel pressure that avoids it.
So your new pipe which has less volume and less or more relaxed bends allow normal fuel pressure under low revs.
Finally! A mod that will allow me to ride my 390 ADV the way I had always hoped for. At first, I always felt a few things were off, based on my experience with the RC 390. Getting both these mods done tomorrow.

Hey Bulu, just wanted to tell you that the stalling issue because of low torque and the solution of changing the sprocket size was first showcased by Abhinav Bhatts channel 2 months back.. But good we came to know KTM guys changed the fuel pipe as well. 👍 And I have heard the KTM engineering team knew about this, but went for the 15 teeth sprocket to give better mileage...

In previous videos Adv 390 vs RE 650 Bulu bhai already mentioned this thing that installing the small sprocket could solve the low torque problem because some of the people's already made video on this..

Mileage is fine, but will it affect the performance of the bike in long run?
I changed the the sprocket in the month of February itself. Lowend torque was solved because of the front sprocket only. Still my bike did 150 kmph and still much Juice was left.

You will get higher torque in low RPM but reduced top speed. Also there would be higher fuel consumption.

KTM Bajaj engineering team must have focused in 3 features, Top Speed, heating and Mileage for this adventure model. But then who would like to see the bike stalling in off-road?
Theoretically we can lower further to 13 or 12 teeth sprocket for off-road and urban trails. But that will effect the 3 features overall.

It looks like KTM has also released a lowering kit which can reduce the seat height by 25mm. It's showcased on their website.

Stress may not be there but yes mileage slightly may be reduced

I have heard that changing the sprocket also has effect on speedometer reading. Not sure if it's true but please let us know if you notice that. Maybe a ride alongside a stock bike?

On of the video posted by dream chaser reported that after changing sprocket to 14 teeth, he started facing jerk while gearing down. Did you face the same issue?

Bulu bhai, mera KTM 390 it is just 13 month old and I see cracks on front tyre (Metzeler) side walls any idea will these be cover under warranty or any problem while crusing at highspeeds on highways.
Talk to metzeler of ktm once n see bro, I have no idea about the stock tyre warranty

Go for it. It’s a pocket friendly machine when compare to other 400cc. Also Bajaj has good service network around the country . So for touring you don’t need to be worry about service and spare parts availability.

The new duke 390 has a issue with ground clearance..if you are going to do a lot of off-roading rides go for the 390 Adv best in the segment

Sure you can I changed it to 14 teeth from the 250 Duke. I did and have been enjoying the improved torque and fewer gear changes after the sprocket change. By the way I have also changed the tyres to Apollo Alfa H2 s after the original Metzlers were worn out after 7000 kms. Great tyres. Same if not better than the OEM Metzlers that come with the bike .
