@@clintonda5976 I think the best way to start to to know what each emotion feels like for yourself.
Then to look at yourself in the mirror in a sense mirroring those emotions till you memorize what they look like in the face and in how the body reacts and feels along with that emotion.
Then try practicing identifying those emotions on others.
Slowly you should be able to read how they are feeling.
Probably not able to interpret it immediately.

When it comes to reading people, I’ve always relied on my gut for things. People’s mood, body language, expressions, tone and eye contact all come into play. @xYoshitha hi! How are you?
The fact that I'm a big empath makes me stressed when someone is stressed. They give me their emotions, and it's not really "fun" to feel that all the time.
So, stay the way you are, it's better that way. You are just ✨perfect✨ the way you are right now

Everyone really needs this!
Yeah 😁
As an empath and an hsp that is pretty good at reading people I can say it's quite accurate, but I wonder if you can learn how to read people as good as if you were gifted. I mean, I always thought that empathy can't be developed on a level that empaths have it. Because I think I use these tips when I'm trying to read someone but I do that unconsciously. For example, I don't think "mhm, she's smiling, what does it mean? is she happy? is it a generous smile? etc", I just feel that she's nervous now. And if you ask me why I think so, I'd probably answer that I noticed how she didn't move her body, just standed still showing tension. But at the exact moment I don't think about all of these but feel it. And I really don't know if it's a type of thing that can be developed.
I might be wrong, by the way, don't take my words too seriously! Thanks for reading and sorry for possible mistakes, because English isn't my native language. Have a nice day! 💕
Yea this is very interesting, I wonder also if the natural unconscious skills that an empath has can be developed by anyone
People often assume that a ton of skills are given from birth but most of the time they can be practiced and improved
As a fellow empath, you’ve described what I do, I ‘feel’ or ‘sense’ people and situations. Been doing it all my life and I cherish this ‘gift’.
I think that the only way so u can judge a person is to ask them about the reasons of their actions and trying putting ur self in his place will accually help u to understand that person even more

Actually you can. Unless you're a psychopath or narcissistic. In that case, you don't have the compassion or empathy to care

*sad INTP noises*
I feel bad because people find it difficult to "read" me.
I have a resting b face.
And, most of the time, when not around my friends (such as in class), I normally am not focusing on anything around me. I use as much energy as needed. So I usually have bad posture and have no real face expression (especially with masks nowadays). I'll just be doing homework or taking notes.
I feel bad because I have apparently intimidated a lot of people because I lack any emotion. I remember a teacher of mine, who knew I was really good at math, had a kid sit next to me. She explained how to do the work, but told him to ask me if he was confused.
With most people, this kid would talk non-stop and would be loud as hell. He asked me one question, I explained how to do the problem, then I went back to work. He nervously made a bit of small talk, and I made a small comment (I was focusing on work and my brain was still in the "use as little energy as possible and only use as necessary" mode). He very quickly stopped talking.
In any other circumstance, I would have most likely talked with him about whatever. I love talking to people, even if I didn't fully understand the topic (more to talk about, if you ask me) but in class, I just go on auto-pilot and people don't know what tips me off or how to make conversation with me.
(And I yelled at a kid for being annoying. He deserved it, absolutely (he disrupted class every single day and would make awful noises while we worked.) I normally would have just zoned out but that day, I was suffering from a massive migraine (I may have actually cought a sickness and didn't realize until later, if I am remembering correctly) and didn't want to deal with his crap. I yelled at him to shut the hell up. The whole class went silent, and for the rest of the day, if any of these classmates were in my other classes, they were particularly quiet, along with those around them. Like I said, I feel really bad because not only do they not know how to make me talk, they don't know what will make me angry either.)
It really sucks because when I am with my friends, I am pretty loud and act like a little kid occasionally. I can talk all day if you wanted me to. I rarely get angry (outside of my family) and I try to be as friendly as possible when I talk to people. With friends, I am the complete opposite than when I am at school. Just, school drains a lot out of me so I try my best not to use energy when I can and so I look very... Resting b face. It sucks but at least I can get my work done in mostly peace lol.
You're brilliant. Such complex concepts put easily

Hei
I can read people like a book. I can tell how your feeling just based on how you talk, act, and even based on your eyes. Let me explain. I can tell if someone is sad just by how their eyes are. I don't know why but when someone is sad their eyes seem dimmer. I've picked up on these signs from some stuff from my past. I could tell what someone was feeling without them even show it. I sometimes use this when I notice something off about a person. For example one girl was always causing drama and me and her never got along. After about 3 weeks I could tell she didn't have a good home life. I was right. She moved about a month ago. I'm guessing she got taken away. I hope she's doing okay. We may have not liked each other but I still want her to be safe. I've been in her place and it sucks.
Nice... Definitely worth the watch... But I can determine fake smiles
Most of these I already do strictly as a trauma response and learning to silently get a feel for those around to make sure no one seems threatening.
With these videos, you deserve a Nobel peace prize.

just a quick question , who do u ship the most ? adrianette , ladynoir , marichat or ladrien ? Just a curious cat
☺😊☺😊😄
I am awful at reading body language and people in general, but on multiple occasions I've had gut feelings and/or made a joke about someone to either the person in question or to a friend in a light-hearted manner but with dark humour, and it's turned out I predicted something awful about them (if you're from the UK, it's custom to joke with your mates calling them a "nonce" - and I have accidentally predicted someone being one on more than one occasion).
I can somewhat read when not to trust someone or when they've done an awful thing/are a bad person, but I can't tell what they've done specifically. I've had incidents where I lost friends because I didn't trust someone, and eventually it's come out that my gut instinct to not like them and avoid them was right and my friends have confirmed it. It's like David's power from Unbreakable without being able to tell exactly what it is that they've done.
Ima use this on my teachers!
This channel's videos are getting cuter every day. Also very useful. keep it up, please!! we love the info !!
Thank you! Will do!
Psyc2go Ik you have heard this a million times
But I LOVE YOU!!!
I love trying to figure out people through their body language in new places. I also mix in some basic psychoanalysis and jokes. All of a sudden an introvert made some new friends!
Be prepared when you get good at this. People will emotionally vomit all their life on you sometimes.
I think a lot of us rarely get noticed for who we want to be seen as?
I will admit, I kinda though everyone knew this. But I also know that I am a very strong empath (even too strong at times, as I will will forget about myself completely).
But I also know that for an example, people with autism can have a hard time reading other people's emotions through facial expressions, body language and tone of voice.
I have a younger sister with autism. She's 14 and she goes to a special school. But one day she asked me "What do I say when people ask me 'what do you think'"? I myself, have ADD and we both have anxiety, so I often understand her struggles more than the rest of the family. And things like this never occurred to me. Because in some cases, people will genuinely want your opinion. But in other cases they just want you to agree with them. To me it's easy to determine what they're asking of me, but when you have autism, you take everything at face value. So when people ask her what she thinks, she's gonna be honest. And sometimes that hurt her friends' feelings.
So I tried to tell her how to look at their face, their body language and how they talk. Do they look happy? Do they look unsure? Idk if it would be worth it to make a video about something like this, but think it would be kinda cool. Why do we say one thing but mean something else?
Can we please have a video on how to not be oblivious, particularly being oblivious towards signals you get from someone you are interested in.
I’m early
But instead of saying first( or anything like that) I’m going to say thanks this has helped better understand myself More and more Better because of you thank you psych2go ;)
That's right
Spot on 😊🏴☠️
i hope people remember that some people - like those with autism or social anxiety - sometimes don't have accurate representations through body language of what they're feeling. the amount of times people thought i liked them because i'm nervous and awkward is too annoying
