good morning from Italy I would like information about this system you documented how much could it cost to build a room of 27 mt 2? Thanks for the reply
I'd like some advice. I'm starting my theater next month and I will have a marantz 8012 (11.2) receiver 7 power recliners with rumble seats on all seating, projector, Bluray player, and Xbox one/PS4. I'm planning on running two 20 amp circuits One for the equipment and the other for the seating. And a 15amp circuit for the lighting all on the same phase. Do you think this is suffecient or is this over kill? Would appreciate your advice. Thanks
Step 2, me brings out calculator for measurements to European ones. Step 1, 3-8, checks my EuroMillions coupon. Anyway, thanks for an inspiring video. I am gonna do this small scale. Closest I come to this, a friend of mine's daughter was a nanny at Spielbergs (long time ago)
The gap between wall and chairs needs to be 36" minimum by building code. Something else to consider is blasting sound in the closest seat if your chairs are close to the wall. I'd recommend planning a good size gap between every seat and wall at least 5 feet between ear and speaker would be ideal. Many rooms have to compromise, but it's something that needs to be considered when designing.
Very nice information. But it seems way over the top in cost and design. Or maybe that's the point of this particular video. Are the other more budget friendly suggestions/video(s) along the line? Thx
I'm just in the process of building a theater room. My question is towards power. I'm planning on running 2 independent circuits of 12 gauge 20 amp circuits. 1 for the equipment which include projector reciever Blu-ray player xbox and playstaion and 2 subwoofers. The other circuit would be for 6 motorized recliners with sound shakers and lighting in the theater room. Would this be enough or should I add a third circuit? Any help would be appreciated.
Like most installers. You've left out the 1st and most important step...the cost of the structure of the room (e.g. framing + sound proofing (pointless IMHO to have a HT room if you're forced to keep the volume below a certain level because you have family and your neighbours are close by) and in-room acoustic treatment. Too many people skip over those steps and just spend all their money on electronics...with some money left over for seating.
How can we hear the sounds of the mobile phones, pets (dogs & cats), dolphins, babies crying, earthquakes, so on, come from the ground up in the movies? I think we should make the ground speakers for those sounds. 🔊 🔊 🔊
Top 10 Reasons I Watch Movies at Home: 1. I don't have to leave my home, drive somewhere and sit next to noisy ill-tempered strangers. 2. My theater is NOT a "gun-free zone" so it's far less dangerous and I have access to many weapons. 3. It saves me a lot of money over buying box-office tickets and theater food. 4. I have access to plenty of good-priced food. 5. My A/V system is as good as a THX theater. 6. Pause, rewind, fast-forward and volume controls are important to me. 7. I can watch any film whenever I want, not just what's playing that week. 8. I have a soft comfortable reclining couch with a foot rest and cup holder. 9. I control the temperature in my home theater so it's just right. 10. Best of all, I can make out with my wife in private.
Haha best comment here. Point 10 is deffinetly somthing to concider for all who want a home theater, however i feel like point 2 only appels to people from certain nations. :)
Lol Americans are funny. Not once in my life have I felt the need to have weapons lol nor have I worried that I might get in a gun fight at the movie theater.
i have an almost square room. its small at 10 feet wide by 11 feet long. i project onto a painted wall and the image fills the wall at 10 feet wide. i sit at 9 feet from image. is that too close and should i make the image size smaller
Whatever happened to placing speakers equidistant from the listener? Or considering your fronts should be equidistant to each other and the primary listening position? Chances are those in-wall subs sound like shit compared to the same drivers, in cabinets, placed in the room like they should be. Not to mention the flood of sound to the rest of the house and your overly patient neighbours. This seems like more of an advertisement for an install company than successful home theater tips.
In-wall and in-ceiling speakers may appeal to wives and decorators but they significantly degrade sound quality, especially for music. Otherwise, nice video!
Actually they can sound better because of SBIR. Most speakers can be installed in-wall if planned for. Triad and Procella have some amazing speakers built for in-wall.
Agree, this is incorrect, sound can be significantly better when speakers are placed in the wall, a number of speaker designs from Triad, James etc are fully encapsulated providing their own sealed box and calculated volume within the wall, the wall (needs to be very solid and rigid) becomes an infinite baffle and can virtually eliminate SBIR (Speaker Boundary interference Response). The same prinicple is often used when building some recording studios from scratch, the monitors are mounted within a solid wall along with suitable diffusion and absorption acoustic panels to tackle first order reflections.
Unless you are a true fan and have the money for a separate home theater, it's not worth doing it. With the advent of 86 inch smart tvs and wireless surround sound.,Home theaters are becoming extinct since you can instantly set one up anywhere in your house.
EXCELLENT VIDEO... WOW... Fantastic

Great video!
Stunning theatre rooms. Inspirational. However, the dimensionality of the room should be whatever the customer can afford and makes them happy
Perfect video. Thanks mate, I love it ❤️
Great video, thank you for sharing it! Some very great eye candy!
Very nice. My home theater is very cheaply made, but decent enough, except I need to upgrade sound in my AV system.
Thank you...any comments, criticism's and complaint are welcome so I can continuously increase the quality of these videos.
crying mandatory too much, maybe do something freestyle

How sound works in globe shape room?
The coolest home theater is a recording studio, not to mention superior sound. Study the design of a properly built studio control room.
Hey Ted, that may be so, but you would be amazed at the percentage of high end home theaters that use in-walls or in-ceilings.
How much cost in indian rupees
