I would've laughed if the Dark Archon battle ended with a single Marine chasing them all around. They would've eventually recovered enough energy to Mind Control him, but it still would've been pretty funny x)
I was SO sure the fortress had it, but the swarm...never underestimate it I guess. Siege tanks are superb, unless the enemy get too close and they end up killing themselves with their blast radius.
I guessed the zerg for the simple reason that the tanks did not shoot from behind the bunkers but only had ghosts infront of them, tanks that are not shooting when something blocks the enemy from reaching them are too weak in scenarios like these. But it came closer than i thought!
@@PInnHeAd True. But tanks behind the bunkers might end up destroying the bunkers themselves 😝 I know from experience... But yes! That would have made for a better line, siege tanks present in all the "layers" really.
It was pretty dang close in the end. I think Terran could have won there if the battlecruisers had engaged simultaneously with the goliaths instead of waiting until they were all dead. A few yamatos on ultras or guardians would have swung the fight easily.
if you see some of the valkyries; they can't fire because there's too much on the screen. One the numbers go down enough, they have enough unit count to fire vollys again, they still won, but they could have had more. which is probobly why they were canceled units in SC2? who knows.
Should have trusted my guts when I saw the Tank formation in the final showdown, they were a little too far from the ramps, that there lead to their doom. Amazing video.
Was the swarm controlled by a human? I could see some guardians tactically retreat. The queens also came in at the right time to spawn broodlings on the tanks.
I always control the spellcasters to make sure they use their abilities somewhat sensibly (the autocasting is very bad)! 😉 The guardians automatically retreat when they are attacked by air units.
So proud, I got 3/4 right xD These videos are just so satisfying though. I was certain I was wrong halfway through the last fight, but I was proven right in the end :D
Awesome, thank you! Fun fact: back when I was an innocent summer child, ai controlled Dark Archons and their Feedback is exactly how I learned, that my battlecruiser fleet have more energy than HP 💥💥💥💥💥💥
Oh, of course! Devourers work well with Valkyries and Corsairs. I could never figure out how to use Devourers effectively. I'll have to try that the next time I play, um… Protoss… so I can Mind Control the other units and use them all together… Broodwar Anti-air Flyers Unite!
the terran death sounds are the same as the death sounds in the awesome medieval game Seven Kingdoms II. except there each civilization has its own death sound and here they're all merged together. that is a cool touch injecting the effect of globalization between the past and the future in a really unexpected and probably unintentional way.
well, the last fight would be SO MUCH different with a few tanks shooting with first line of defense... like wtf who is even placing tanks, the best antiground tool in the game, in the reserves
Yeah when I was playing it I was on the edge of my seat, I was mashing the button when the DA was at 99 energy... now I wonder who would have won without that final Maelstrom!
I love all these fight clubs vids, theyre entertaining and actually provide some good tips for these games, which why I think you should branch out more, some warcraft 3, cnc tiberium wars, red alert 3 or any of the dune/dawn of war series, but more than anything I would murder for some red alert 2 fight clubs
My perdisctions: Fight 1:Zergling win Fight 2: 66 army win Fight 3: Terrans win Fight 4: Swarm win P.S not sure if carbot animations makes the death stream less or more horrific
The major contributing factor in this case was the fact the zerglings were able to maintain decent pathing and achieve good spacing, heavily reducing the impact of each scarab. When scarabs are only able to take out tiny clumps of lings at 3-4 instead of 10+, their down time between each shot isn't given due consideration. I was actually surprised only 137 made it out at the end. Of course, when you factor in the wonky code like you mentioned, they quickly are out-paced and leave themselves severely vulnerable. Given the scenario had different terrain, or run through several iterations, as so many variables are at play, it's very likely the result would favor the protoss with a little luck - if zerglings are able to be funneled through choke points or even just get unlucky and form larger clumps. Classic micro battle scenario.
Fight 1: of course zergling will win. Scarabs are wasted to attack a handful instead of a large chunk. Same for storm. After depleting their scarabs the rest is history. Fight 2: Valkyrie and Corsair AOE is too good apparently. Fight 3: DA only has 200 energy apiece. Can’t believe they just barely inching out a win with the last BC barely survive. Does feedback and maelstrom only cost 25 energy per use? Fight 4: dark swarm is just too good. Same for scourges. Science vessel not putting more emphasis on irradiation is surprising. That can kill a lot. Even in such a defensible position zerg still wins.
For the last fight, I wasn't surprised at all - none of the bunkers were utilized. That's a huge blunder. And then with the siege tanks so far out of range, they were completely wasted. Their role is reign down support from the rear and soften up all the targets for the bunkers to finish off; while the bunkers form a damage wall and are able to keep the siege tanks safe to siege with impunity. I think that scenario wasn't executed properly, and I've been a zerg main for 15 years. Terran's most important trait is the synergy it can achieve through it's versatility and economically efficient unit choices/upgrades. Terran must absolutely achieve victory through combined arms. The way the units were staggered off into tiers removed Terran's most fundamental asset: their synergistic nature.
The Zerglings got the better of me again, i need to start giving them slightly more credit. Bottom team seemed like a winner, and they were, even though i had no idea what to expect. Despite the numbers, i still went for the Archons, and after the first Mind Control, yeah, this was going to be a pushover. Given the formula of the videos, i'm guessing the Swarm will burn this Fortress down, and so they did. Those cartoony graphics look really out of place imo, not a fan of them. I did fairly well on this one, 3-1 Score.

Ooh I didn't even think about mind control at the end, I thought I would lose if the last BC went down.
That one mind controlled marine could not kill itself tho. So it would be a stalemate.
That Dark Archon BC was awesome, thanks dude!
Would be funny if base was nuked if terran is defeated so no zerg survives
thought you stopped making these fight clubs but glad to see them come back. Keep making these! They are fun to watch

Ahhh.. Warcraft 2’s soundtrack really hit the nostalgic factor :D
No nuke? What a pity. The swarm was cut some slack on the final battle. Epic, still ❤

Dark Archons can have their max energy upgraded from 200 to 250. If I recall correctly, Feedback and Maelstrom both cost 50 energy to use.
