Artosis, just want to say that I enjoy these casts you do so much. Your level of knowledge of the game is such a joy to listen to, and the way you present the games is a perfect mix of a professional caster, and a child-like amazement for the games. Something I look forward to day-to-day is a a video posted on this channel. Thanks so much!
The thing that was bothering me this game is the fact that Jaedong never got any melee upgrades and went very heavy into lings. They just wouldnt deal any damage. It actually cost him the fight for the central expansion and a whole bunch of other smaller fights that he could have dealt at least some damage to Light's army.
I have to disagree a bit, the lings were to be possible harassment and mainly to work with the swarms+plague+ hydras to just absorb damage but light was everywhere and he mixed in more firebats than usual. Jaedong would set up attacks but Light was ready twice. Clearly catching Jaedong offguard.
Thanks again for the games arty. It's really nice to have both you and tasteless putting out games for us to watch. We get to he spoiled during our downtime! Small thing, I prefer casts of these Korean pro ladder matches over some of the other casts you do. I do definitely recognize however, that it's good to see matches from non Korean players. I wish you could cast your own games bc I really enjoy your terran a lot. Thanks!
Great cast, Artosis. Suggestion: Switch to Terran's vision only during Muta harassment. It really drives home the feeling of being hit from the fog of war in many directions.

Jaedong even sends a few hydras out of his base there to keep Light's forces there so they won't discover his sneaky ambush.
Pro terran players are my heros 11:39 his excitement is absolutely palpable!!!! Also amazing match throughout the whole half hour. So many back and forths it was nuts. Neither player giving up to the point that both sides *completely* exhausted minerals from 2 bases. Absolutely insane. Most matches i have seen from arty casts have been under like 15 minutes and after 1 or 2 bad exchanges they throw in the towel. Not this time though. Insanity. You can tell Light is doing this on auto. Just reading JD like a book. He made sure to punish him for everything at the right time and sneak expansions at every step. Sieging tanks to kill that nidus was also a good exploit. Shows Light will use everything he can get to his advantage. And good read by Artosis. Every little thing counts. The firebats also provided an extra point making sure those swarms weren’t as efficient. JD did good taking care of the SV count leaving Light short of energy. But maybe he over invested in hydras. Just great game.
I just watched this game after watching several earlier casts of TvZ by Mihu and other non-Korean Terrans - the difference is astounding. Even without going into micro, on a macro level - high expansion rate, SCVs actually following the army and repairing stuff, heavy use of firebats to deal with DS, reinforcements always on time...
@@ivankuzin8388 yea. Still exciting to watch but it’s just such a beauty to watch games at the Korean pro level. If you like TvZ you should watch Fantasy games also. Very different style. Specially during the last few OSL back in 2008 or so. Flash is always amazing to watch.

Jaedong ran a bunch of zerglins around the lower half of the map, and hid them to the right for a short while. Then he made a run up the right hand side with them to attack Light's base. What's even cooler is at 17:52 when he pops an army out of the nydus in the lower right, and attacks Light's base behind Light's forces which are controlling the middle / lower left of the map. Jaedong even sends a few hydras out of his base there to keep Light's forces there so they won't discover his sneaky ambush.
Why say SCV cannot attack under swarm and siege mode doesn’t damage burrowed under swarm? Siege mode counters swarm and melee dmg works under swarm as well
Workers are ranged so they do no DMG under swarm. Thanks can only deal splash DMG to burrowed units under swarm so if they are spread out tanks deal 0 damage
I have noticed that, too! Maybe repairing is an APM-intensive activity, so only the best do it? This game there actually were quite many instances were Light was repairing - mostly tanks though. Maybe these days it is considered easier to spend SV's mana and just make a new one. Back in the day when I used to watch a lot of BW, I remember it was a usual practice for top Terrans (NaDa, BoXer etc) to bring a ton of SCVs and just constantly repair everything, especially vessels.
Pro's usually dont repair vassle. Vassles job is harassing and scouting. So they prefer vessles keep moving + zerg use scourge for late game anti air. It kill vessel 2shot anyway. Repair vessel is waste time and resources. Better repair tank for strong deffemsive lines.
@@kya6816 BTW, this is an evolution of a game that Artosis talks about often - this makes sense, and appears to be a current approach, but it wasn't always a case among progamers - I clearly remember very high-level games with a lot of efforts to repair vessels :)

I think that would just cause a big imbalance towards T against Z. Just imagine the first real push and how in the world would you hold that when you have like 3 or 4 lurkers and there’s 2 SV out lol.
There *is* balance in BW as is - the only problem is that this balance requires very high APM from Terrans, more so then from Zerg and especially Protoss. For average-good amateur playing on ladder, there really is no balance - but to fix the game for them will break the pro scene.
