- In this video, we take a look at and test out the all-new Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Android Tablet.
With an 8 Core CPU 4Gb or Ram a 10.4-inch screen and included S pen this is looking like a nice device for pretty much anyone who’s looking for a good Sub $400 Android Tablet.
In this video, we take a look at the specs to test some video playback, S pen, Native android gaming like Call of Duty Mobile, PubG and Fornite and by the end we see how well I performs with my favorite emulators like Redream for Dreamcast, PPSSPP for PSP, and Dolphin for Gamecube.

It's perfect for me, I just need an android tablet to write notes, watch videos and practice with digital art. I already have a desktop and laptop so I don't need Dex or anything powerful. I don't know why so many people are complaining, there are many options from samsung you can choose what's best for you
Sadly no. There are no high end Samsung tablets without disposable displays.

@ಠ_ ಠ no, i personally think its better to do notes on samsung tab s6 lite than on ipad, you need a matte display and an apple pencil to take notes naturally, and that still doesn’t match up against how good the tab s6 lite’s s-pen. coming from an ipad 7 user
@@awesomeferret What does that even mean? The S6 or S7 is high end OLED display. OLED is as good as they come at the moment. If you want premium, then you pay premium price.

You're right. The support on Android tablets in just terrible nowadays. I'm thinking about buying a Chromebook with touchscreen as an alternative to a tablet. Chromebooks will recieve updates for way longer than Android tablets.

ChromeOS is literally android for tablets and laptops
probably the only reviewer in youtube who not only shows the features of a tablet but as well as in depth gaming performance of the tablet. the others well the standard here's ur performance on fortnite, COD etc etc while he, hey here's the standard review games as well as some emulation test.

I have owned this for a few months. It now supports DEX and is much more powerful than you would think.
I just bought one for my Son with Dex in mind. Did a lot of research before buying as the A7 on spec is better but lacked Dex as I wanted a tablet that he could use for school

unlike others that didn't bother doing a full review and just recommended the more expensive ipad.(particularly out of the US the ipad is straight up more expensive)

What is the tip/np of pen of s6 lite (with which we touch the display) made up of? Can you please answer it correctly.

As if is made up of rubber it make wear of easily and it also doesn't come with replacement tips in the box. That's why I'm concerned about the material used in the tip/nib of the s6 lite tab. Can you please answer it for me.

Tbh I just need this for drawing and basic office stuff. And the fact that it can also play most games pretty well just makes it a no brainer at this price
The only thing that really annoys me is the fact that you cant use an external display, as it would be really useful for both presentations and even using it as a sort of emulation device with a controller

@@nose-bleed yeah but you need a compatible tv or chromecast to use it, and none of the tvs at my home or school are compatible with that, so I guess thats just my bad luck lol

I love my S6 Lite and use it as a Mini Laptop with DeX ever since I got it last week I use the S Pen as a Mouse 99% of the time.
This might actually be the Tab I'm looking for. I've been looking for a tablet for drawing. But every time I come across one is a very high end that add a bunch of stuff I'm not interested in and therefore a premium price. I keep trying pen tablets for PC but I just can't. I rather draw on paper and scan it. I tried a Note and it work great. But too small and I prefer my V line for phones. And that pen does look more comfortable than the one on the regular S. And the tip is more like a pencil than the super rounded one on the non-lite.
lots of people have done the comparison between the S6 and 6 lite but i really dont see why.
you touch on it at the end, but i think a comparison between the lite and the S5e makes much more sense. going by the name many might think the S5e is redundant despite them being similarly priced, but both have pros and cons so its not just as simple and obvious as 'pay twice as much- get a much better tablet'. the much older S4 may be a contender in the same price range too, and these are conversations really worth having when you have the opportunity to compare them all side by side.

Can you check out iphone se2 and do some emulations on it? Im interested in the chipset that because it's pretty powerful and also the phone is not that expansive so i just what to know how it would handle gamecube ande some other games like you did for an ipad.

I did 4 hours of streaming video and it went down around 15%. Not bad. Can't speak to pubg, though.

I guess it depends on what you use it for, but I rather get 2 of this than 1 S6 for the price. But each to their own.

@@Kenosha01 I own the galaxy tab s6. In all honesty, if I'm only doing digital art, I would go with IPad just because of this third party app called ProCreate. I wish they would also work on a version for android.

Comparing the Tab S6 Lite to the Tab S6, is hardly fair. The Tab S6 has the highest benchmarks of any Android tablet.

Is this a good replacement for a Kindle? I just want something to download Amazon videos and maybe store some home movies.
My main disappointment with this "lite" version is the TFT LCD display when it should have had a IPS LCD display, otherwise this is a great budget pad. Also the older Samsung s5e that I was going to get does not have a 3.5 jack so that was a no go. I am still getting this S6 lite to use for media consumption etc. and I hope that the display is as good as a IPS with the viewing angle and good enough in say bright sunlight. Great review.
IPS is a sub-type of TFT. This tablet has PLS which is just Samsung's name for IPS.
@@mroz123 OH, I was unaware of that and also I got my information from a source that is perhaps not the best. If that is the case then I say this tablet is a great buy for a "decent" tablet where you get Android 10 as well. Some recent cheap Lenovo tabs had problems running Netflix and other streaming things so I could not buy a tablet that is limited. Do not remember why but there are reviews about that issue here on YT. Thanks for informing me.

Samsung Dex is available on the S6 Lite now, but only within the tab.
Bought it and returned it. I'm really not that picky about a screen but that was baaaaad for that price point (iPad mini screen is leaps and bounds better) and the biggest thing I couldn't get past is that at a pound and a half it's very heavy. I want it for sketching and to replace my broken e-reader, and it's great for one and bad for the other.
I tried out the iPad mini but the Apple pencil isn't as smooth as the s-pen (that Wacom tech really shows), costs $100, and needs to be charged. So I compromised on the 2019 Samsung Tab A with s-pen, the international version that sadly has no US warranty. It's a real shame there isn't a Mini competitor in the US, because there's still a market for people who want a more portable reading/sketching/note taking tablet.
Seriously, why not still get the s5e instead? It does have DeX and it's amoled? Can anyone compare the 2 straight up?
Shame on Samsung for not giving this device support for Dex. If someone is willling to spend twice as much for the S6 Original, it's not as if that one feature is the difference maker.
Dude there is not a single Samsung device that supports Dex and has 4 GB RAM, no one expected Lite to support it.

I just bought the S5e. I don't regret my decision, but this would have made my decision difficult. I'd rather the OLED screen and quad speakers though.
Good choice. I had that before I got the S6 and the S5e is definitely still the second best Samsung tablet.
If you dont need the s pen then the s5e is a much2 better choice for the same price than s6 lite.. s5e really incredible tablet.. worth beyond the current price

7:05 that geekbench 5 score for the lite looks very similar to my tab S4. My tab sS4 is 364 single core 1519 multi core.
That was concerning at first, but then I realized the old tablets my kids have are "Galaxy Tab 4" not "Galaxy Tab S4." 🙂 Those are definitely showing their age.

Infinitely better screen on the 5e, but no pen support. If you need a pen and you want a great screen, go for the s6. If you need a pen and don't care about the screen, buy the s6 lite. If you don't need a pen, buy the 5e.
is the s-pen compatible to s-notes only? how about others app, such as Google Keep or OneNote? Does it work on them as well as s notes?
You can use it fine with the onenote and other apps
It's not looking too hot on the emulation side of things... For such a price now, I'd expect at least fullspeed GC emulation on the easier-to-emulate games like SC2, which it doesn't do.
You can score a more powerful S4 for the same price. And it has USB-C to HDMI support, and Dex

John Nada I so badly want to recommend you an iPad 10.2 inch but either you’re an Android or an iOS user, I can’t assume. But if you do want, or are okay with a tablet with iOS, try the iPad 10.2, its for i think $329. It’s fairly cheap-cheaper than the iPhone SE, supposedly a “budget iPhone”-but something cheaper than that is not something I know that much about.

How would that one compare to the Mi Pad 4? Should be similar in hardware.
I have Mi pad 4. It is weaker than this. Emulation is fine for psp but gamecube depends on the game (Mario sunshine for example was not playable with current and custom dolphin emulator). Antutu score around 120-130k
I'm mostly looking for Android tablets and phones so I don't really compare it to the Apple devices and you really shouldn't cuz they weren't you different operating systems and one for people who like Android one for people who like Apple

If you have the tablet, could you tell me please if you have problems with the screen? Image persistence / burn in screen. I draw 10 min and then I see a ghost of the pictures on the screen. Don't know if it's my device or every s6 screen problem.
This might be a software issue of it's the tab S6 lite.
