- This drag race has been on our minds for a very long time and producing it was a blast. The Porsche Taycan GTS faces off against my Yamaha R1.

@@r1learner178 yeah,. i went for a ride in 1 a few days ago... all i can say is.....OMG..... sooo fast.... i will think twice whem riding my R1 if i come across 1 of those,......but probley still give it a go haha
You’ve got to do a track day at Cadwell. One of my favourite pic is you jumping the mountain on the red bull Honda.
Huge respect on this - we did a launch in the Audi RS etron GT doing 0-100km in 3.1 seconds and I practically screamed the whole time - trying to get a decent launch on my bike is a whole different ball game and it's just a lardy adventure bike :) so hats off to you on that!
Imagine what your wsbk R1 would do to the Porsche or any supercar....or just even if you knew how to activate the launch control on this...even in road kit these are rocket ships nowadays ...cheers from Greece 👌🔥

He's raced a Snett..... BSS and BSB before he went to WSS then on to WSBK and all with Honda.
Shame he never got the honda MotoGP ride he rightly deserved
Stand in for Tracey Moaner for 2 races, the races that some forget when Honda reined the bike in and told him not to crash it......

Years ago, one of the MC rags in the States performed a track test of a Dodge Viper vs a virtually stock FZR1000. it was almost a dead even race, for the lap time. The car at the time, I think went for ~ $70K. The bike $12K. 1992 ish... Todays superbikes are equivalent to GT1 car lap times...

I had faith in you JR, the bike's power to weight is on a different planet, yeah, modern sportsbikes are hard to get off the line.....but I've not seen a good motocrosser be slow off the mark ! 😎

Real world, I think that GTS runs about 3.2 or 3.3 to 60 max! That’s not coming close to beating that bike. Now if you pull out the 2025 Taycan Turbo S it’s a much closer race. Then you have the Taycan GT that might beat you! The GTS is fast for a car and it has the same torque as the turbo, but not enough HP to keep up with that bike with all that weight.
The bike went like the wind. However the Taycan driver could be smoking his pipe and been as quick , ( and examining his bank statement )
The other thing is the bikes are less than 1/2 the price of the car....way more bank/buck...
